Transcript:
"I interrupt your holiday weekend with this important message.
Elton Brand: Stay. Stay in L.A.
What are you thinking, listening to the Golden Sate Warriors?
What are you thinking, turning your back on a city that has embraced you and that you have embraced for the last seven years.
As everyone knows, Baron Davis recently agreed to join the Clippers to give them a great point guard. And part of the deal was Elton Brand was going to stay with the Clippers and give them a one-two punch that would put the Clippers into the NBA playoffs.
Now there’s word that Elton Brand may instead go for more money to the Golden State Warriors.
Elton, its more money, but it’s not home. It’s not the people who love you. It’s not the people who have backed you. And it’s also not living up to your word. When you said you would stay in L.A. with the Clippers if they built a championship team around you.
They’re doing that now.
Baron Davis is part of that deal. You’ll be a better team next year.
Elton, if you leave the Clippers for the Golden State Warriors or anywhere else now, it would be like Paul Pierce leaving the Boston Celtics last year once they acquired Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett; saying, “Eh, I want more money, I’ll go somewhere else.”
It may be more money, but it’s not going to be more piece of mind, and it’s not who you are.
Elton, stay."
He doesn't sing, but it's like music to my ears. |

| This is great all this media attention. I hope someone sends this to E.B. himself.... The only thing better than this is Billy Crystal and Penny Marshall poping up on Channel 5 pleading Elton to stay. |
