All-Stars Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce, plus president of basketball operations Danny Ainge, coach Doc Rivers, and owner Wyc Grousbeck visited Wallace in his suburban Detroit home last week. After the three-hour meeting, Wallace, 34, indicated he also would be considering overtures from Orlando and San Antonio. But Wallace canceled those meetings, informing the Celtics of his intention to accept their offer Wednesday, the first day free agents are eligible to sign.
“Once [Wallace] had a chance to reflect on everything, and realizing what his objectives are, he just decided this was the best fit for him, all the way around,’’ said Bill Strickland, Wallace’s agent. “He has always wanted to be on a team that plays with a team effort, and Boston won the championship with a team like that. Boston has three potential Hall of Famers - Rasheed has played with a lot of talent, but not with a concentration of talent like this." |

| pretty nice pickup for the celtics. more importantly for the celtics though, they keep him away from the cavs, magic, and spurs. imagine if those other 3 teams had sheed at the 4 or 5 spot next to shaq, howard or duncan. pretty crazy. the celtics should have a pretty dangerous lineup with KG and sheed next to each other though. |

damn this makes the east that much more interesting and since i think its assumed lakers will rep west in the finals again, or spurs actually, that it'll be great and extremely competitive finals (assuming good health for all teams). but more importantly it limits elite teams, in no particular order except for spurs case:
lakers
celtics
magic
cavs
spurs |

Good point about the elite teams B_diddy, which leads me to this question:
What do the Nuggets have planned? I haven't seen them pop up anywhere during the offseason. If they don't make some moves soon, they'll be the Hornets of 2010 (from 2nd seed to dead). |

| mutehaitian i think u make good call with the nugs being a one year flameout. george karl is a bumbling fool, the playoff version of mike dun. I think the west finals will be lakers spurs, lakers taking them out eventually. Maybe just maybe the clips will hang around the 8th spot (even though i think they have a legit chance if healthy to snag a 6-7 slot) and play the hated/loved lakers in round one, causing a certified Battle of LA. |

Absolutely. In fact, a healthy KG would probably have resulted in a BOS repeat. This should be interesting. |
