I know it's a long shot but I will post from time to time about options for the Clips getting their own arena. The Staples lease has only 5 years left on it and can be bought out easily.
I just think the atmosphere is lame with the Lakers banners and what not all over the place. I'd really like to see the Clips get their own crib so any rumors or anything like that would be appreciated. |

I believe this,,as long as he gets the rental deal he has now.
The one thing that makes me believe more then anything is the training center. I would love to see a move to Anaheim as drving to downtown is a nosebleed,,but how much of a nosebleed would it be to drive from the training center to Anaheim vs to Staples. Of course,,,DTS is about making money ,and, making money on real estate so in 5 years if he can make a fortune selling his center, I could see a move.
I personally am sicke of looking at Laker banners and jerseys, and Sparks jerseys and Kings jerseys but nothing from us. Maybe not as the LA Clippers but in the history as a whole we have some pretty good guys. Why couldn't World B Free's jersey be retired, or someone of that caliber. Give us something. Of course a banner would be the best gift. |

Thanks for the welcome fellas. I'm looking forward to good things from this team this year. As much as I question Dunleavy's decisions as a coach, I have to say that he's done a good job as a GM this offseason. I'm mean seriously, how often does a team upgrade the talent on the floor or at least create better chemistry all the while shedding salary from the payroll?
As for the move, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I often wondered why DTS would spend $50 million on a practice facility. I have to believe that this has more to do with being visible from the 405. If you've ever been there, it's not really in the heart of playa vista but more towards Culver City where Jefferson bends into Centinela. He did this so he could advertise on a panel that's visible to thousands of daily commuters on the 405. Knowing that, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to rent the center to the Lakers or business clients in the event that he finally sold the team. In that scenario, I would have no problem with him selling to a basketball fan like Samueli in Anaheim. |

| I hope they we stay in LA to be honest. Kobe is really getting older and we have two young gems that are destined for greatness (EG AND BG). We have the potential to really take over LA when Kobe is done and Phil Jackson retires. |
