So this is my question;

Kobe has been diagnosed with a sprained foot a strained foot and now a brusied foot.

From what I understand the difference between a strain & sprain is sprain involves ligament damage.

The first thing that pops to my mind is Lisfranc injury. Maurice Jones Drew had a strain then a sprain then BAMN Lisfranc, done for season.

Is there anyone out there that has a take on the foot injury for Kobe? Lets face it, he's old but still a premier player. Take away Kobe and forgetta about it, they would be better off without D12 than Kobe.

Anyone?

im tired of kobe BS injuries. starting to believe that he suffers from somatoform disorder. supposedly hes always injured. give me a break. somatoform disorder is the only logical explanation.

Easy does it there fellas........merely a question.

Do I care, not so much. Is it fun to think that the newly formed Team Viagra is going to implode and dismantle before our eyes as a result? Then H*ll F**KING YES I care.

I just sense that the Lakers and media are trying to play it down. When in fact its possible that he has a Lisfranc injury meaning no Kobe for the rest of the year.

Just an observation.......

He had the same injury last season and was out for a few games with an injured shin, maybe that foot is getting weaker, good thing Kobe is retiring soon!

Just Snake-boy's annual "I'm so beat up but I'm gonna play anyway because I'm such a tough-guy" routine.

Wow... he's a real iron man... every f***** year roll

Kobe didn't get the surgery on his knees done this year, that has to affect his performance later in the season.

You mean the plasma treatment? I'm pretty sure it isn't surgery or if it is it is more like athroscopic surgery noninvasive.

I don't understand why people wouldn't care (see above). The Lakers are our primary competition in the Pacific and will be part of the West playoff picture. Some people need to get over their hate of the Lakers at least when it comes to objective matters like this; otherwise, you just come off as ignorant.

I know they are our primary competition, but I am not going to lose any sleep over Kobe, I have complete confidence that our team is capable of beating them with or without him. Since when not caring if someone is injured makes me ignorant?

Because Lakers without Kobe are worse with Kobe, I don't think there's much controversy about that (somewhat -- when he's hurt and they win you can hear otherwise). Thus, there's an impact on the Clippers. I'm not suggesting that it should be your first concern or that you should be researching the hell out of the Internet to figure out what's going on, but I would think it warrants a quick thought.

That's how I see it at least. After writing this though, I realized I don't want to project on anyone how I think THEY should be fans. Each fan should be able to enjoy their team at their own preference. I personally like to stay connected with what's going on with other teams though and (if applicable) their effect on the Clippers.

As you said, it does spark a quick thought, but nothing more. I'm more worried about our team, whether Lamar will be in shape, how is the team going to play once Billups is back, DJ's improvement, how our bench will support our starting five, is Vinny going to be a better coach? Cause at the end, if we play to our potential, there is no need to worry on whether the Lakers will have a healthy Kobe.

I wish we could stop with these Lakers threads, I can see the Lakers fan talking right now about how we always talk about them. Please who cares, Let the Lakers fan deal with or worry about their players and injury. Don't need Lakers fan saying we always talk about them.
