This season is gonna be better than last, no question, with CP3 being more comfortable and all the added depth. So with our current roster, & being one of the coolest cities in America, also being able to offer like 20 million more than anyone else... can someone explain what team from a big market city is going to emerge and have the cap space for CP3, and a stronger roster than us?

Atlanta?

For some reason Chris Broussard thinks so... even if Dwight somehow wanted to leave the Lakers for Atlanta, is the idea of Dwight, Josh Smith & a bunch of role players going to be so much more appealing to CP3 than the Clippers well-rounded roster that CP3 will take millions less & uproot his beautiful family? JOSH SMITH?!?! C'mon now...

Dallas?

Aging Dirk who doesn't seem too motivated after winning. Chance at landing Dwight but doubtful... And Mark Cuban. Stars that are outspoken leaders, like CP3 and unlike Dirk don't want to deal with an owner like Mark Cuban. & although Dallas is a big market, Dallas players have historically not been very marketable. Josh Howard was signed to Jordan Brand and I bet no one even knew about it.

Lakers?

Signed Nash for multiple years. So that's not possible.

Who else?

Can anyone give me a more realistic & attractive offer that CP3 will have that will make him leave us hanging? And if not, can we stop talking about it?

Umm CP3 will stay for sure since he gets more money by staying. Atlanta with Dwight and Josh Smith would be nice for winning but Dwight will never ever join Atlanta so thats a moot point. Dallas would pay CP3 less so unless they get a better core then they are out of the question. Dirk is still elite but his teammates are nothing special.

Lakers no way.

Basically no one.

That's my point, I'm sick of all the articles about it. Especially if it's not logical.

If CP3 does do that Bledsoe will start a new page in his career and become an all star. Like Joe said a while ago Bledsoe's emergence has put me at peace with the CP3 thing. If he does leave we suddenly have a ton of cap flexibility and Bledsoe at the starting PG for the next decade.

Bledsoe

Crawford

Granger

Griffin

DJ

or something like that is still easily a mid-upper seed in the west if they gel right and keep improving.

Logic never counts to beat writers,,they are all homers vying for their home teams and make up a lot of crap.

I have said this a bazillion times,,CP3 stays because he is a pro, in the best market for basketball and other things,,and he likes money as most pros do. In pro sports,,,,Money talks,,everything else walks.

I don't get these pundits, who keep acting like CP3 is already done with the Clips and nobody even mentions where will he go? In fact there are not more than 5 teams that can afford him and none of them are even close to where the Clips are now. A good, steady core of developing Blake and wiser CP3 will eventually win the title as it will eventually have a good core of players around them. The Lakers are 2 seasons from battling to win the lottery and I anticipate Dwight wanting to leave right about then (if he even stays beyond this season).

This has got me thinking, If we do sign CP3 for 5 years than we are one of 3 teams that are going to be Elite after 2 years because Lakers will be done as will Celtics and especially the Spurs. Basically in 2 or 3 years are only competition will be OKC and Miami. We really have a great shot at winning a Chip with our CP to BG connection. And then after 5 years if CP wants to leave we can still get something good for him and we will most likely still have Blake. There has never been a better time to be a Clip fan and it feels so good after going through all the crap.

I am a huge CP3 and Clipper fan, but I think it's much too early to definitively say Chris is going to stay. Our season is going to make or break his decision. He's a competitor, and if he believes the Clips give him a legitimate chance of winning a title, he'll stay. I don't believe he's made his mind up already. He's an incredible basketball player and person all-around, but his decision next summer is not going to be made overnight.

With that said, if we make the Western Conference Finals, I believe he'll be a Clipper long-term.

With our current situation and roster, I see no reason why CP3 won't stay! Once DJ can play on a consistent basis as he showed he can, this team will be invincible, and we will win a ring!

My point was, what better option would he have & would it be worth losing 20 mil. Of course he would leave if he could play in MIA or something but he can't. So I'm asking what options does he have?

Another factor,,as pointed out by today's LA TIMES NBA preview (which ponders,,will he stay),,,CP3 and BG32 were asked about everyone of the trades that built this team. Why would you leave the team you built,,,oh yeah,,,Elton did it (although he didn't actually build the team,,he just stuck us with Baron then laughed all the way to Philly)..

How do you know that? Winning one title as the man on the Clippers >> winning x titles as second fiddle to Lebron.

My crystal ball is in the shop as we speak but if I had to guess, I think he stays. But, I think it would ultimately depend on wether or not he continues to see this current group as capable of winning the Chip. **cough**Griffin**cough** Fortunately right now he's all in and engaged but it is a long season. It would be great if verbally committs but we all know that that would not be a great business decision on his part. These writers are just speculating just as the rest of CTB. Shocker I know.

i see it like this, if cp3 stays i will be very happy. if he doesnt, ill still be happy, because we could sign and trade him and get some pieces in return, plus we may have financial flexibility to go out and add a high caliber FA. plus we would have ebled running the show. but i dont think cp3 is stupid. he will stay. what about 2014. idk why people say LBJ might be a flaker, if anyone would have a shot at james it would be us since we have several contracts that we could shed. (not saying lebron is opting out of miami, highly doubt it)

What else can they say? Blake is here, our bench is awesome..... What are they going to say when CP3 stays???? That were overrated?

The way I see it is we should stop worrying what other writers or other people say about our team.....Jason Terry said this, Kobe said that, wtf did Rudy Gay say?, Simmons said that. Worrying about it just makes us seem insecure. Wether or not they have a point or not solely depends on wether or not their comment was in favor or against our team. Really? We just need to eliminate the homer threads and concentrate on maintaining a winning culture.

Guys, Im definately not worried. CP3 is a loyal dude. Thats the one thing that makes me love him. So is Griffin man and he already sign his future to the Clippers. Trust me guys CP3 will follow. He loves it here and we love him. As far as those Doush bags that talk about him not staying. Those pricks dont even watch our Clippers play like we do. They are either homers or morons with the exposure to talk about something they know nothing about. Personally the only one I think has a strong IQ for sports is Steven A. Smith. And he gave us alot of love when we picked up CP3. Thats the only Kat that ill really listen too and can actually say is not a moron...I love my CLIPPERS!!! GO CLIPS!!!

Media is all about the Lakers, until we beat the Heat this year... This Laker team smells like'04, but older with not a younger Fisher or Horry.

Meh. It doesnt matter what they say. How good these sports analyst are at their careers does not depend what or what they don't say about the Clippers, poitive or not. It does not matter. Listen to whoever you want to listen to. I could care less if so and so doesn't like BG and portrayed him in a negative light. NEWSFLASH! Not everyone likes BG around the league. So be it. BG will take care of things on the court. Just because they don't like our team does not make them a homer, douches, or haters. In fact it paints us as homers or what have you when we label them as such whenever we disagree on what thay say. Steven A is annoying to me. But I respect what he has to say after going through all the nonsense surrounding the point he is trying to get across. Unlike most people, I enjoy reading TJ Simers and his backhanded 'compliments'. I still like Simmons even though I disagree on his assesment of the Clips.
