I'm actually excited to watch the Miami Celtics game being Miami is my east team...Ray Ray against his former team and these two actually don't like each other....should be a great game.

Also will be keeping an eye to see the Lakers Dallas game....if Lakers lose this game, then I really believe they are an overhyped team, which I already believe

I will watch both games.Heat Vs Celtics should be good, also going to be interesting to see Allen against his old team. And Lakers Vs Dallas should be good.I am interested to see Dallas play with all it's new additions. Also going to be cool to see Brand and Kaman back together.

Too bad Kaman and Dirk will be out. I think Dallas did a real good job of making that team young. I cant wait to see how that experiment works

Derrick Fisher...errr...Steve Nash does not fit in with that Lakers team. But hey, as long as you have the best starting line up, who cares about depth, right?

Steve Nash had 3 assists.. and this is probably one of the best passers the league has ever seen.. This team is in for a very bumpy start....

Hence the Fisher comparison. Nash has to hate life right now. Another thing is that his play is starting to reflect his age. Guys are stealing balls away from him easily now.

Made this thread sticky.

BTW CP3Best- can you spell-check your posts in the future? A few spelling mistakes here and there I don't mind, but it's against the site guidelines to constantly have misspellings in every post. Thanks in advance.

Knicks did us a solid last night. Hopefully they can take out the Grizz tonight, too.

Also, I'm watching Jazz@Sixers right now and the color guy (sounds like Mike Fratello) is gushing over the Clips. He can't even focus on the game he's watching because he's too busy talking about how impressive our team is.

I was thinking about making a thread like this. Did not know it existed. Knicks beat the Spurs which was nice. I expected them to drop a game and they will loss to the Grizzlies. Beating the Spurs and Grizzlies on the road b2b is pretty much impossible. I expected the streak to end and it did. It was a good effort but it was game the moment Melo and Tyson Chandler had their 4th fouls at the start of the 3rd quarter. Foul trouble screwed them over. In my opinion the officiating was very biased for the Grizzlies but it was to be expected given it was a home game.

Also looks like the Suns are going to lose against the Lakers. It was close for most of the game. Two teams that are good offensively but can't play defense going at it. lol Now that I think about it the Grizzlies have the best record in the West atm and their upcoming schedule is pretty easy:/. To be honest I think were the only team that has a good chance of beating them in the whole league(well we already did).

Maybe it is a matchup thing?

^ Yeah, the Grizz definitely got some home cooking from the refs, but they're still looking pretty legit. I'm half rooting for them to do well and make a nice playoff run because I think we've got their number, but they could take out some of our stiffer competition along the way... (cough) San Antonio (cough). After all, it's all about matchups.

I only saw the last 15 minutes of the laker game. They're playing with a bit more energy, but that will disappear on the road like it did last year. If the Suns had just been able to make an open jumper down the stretch, it would have been a totally different game. They still don't worry me.

Yes I would love it if they took care of SA. Tbh I think were the only top team that matches well with the Griz due to our size and our bench. The Heat get destroyed by Zbo and Gasol. The Lakers are too slow and would get destroyed by the Grizzlies bench. The Spurs are also too small and Ibaka and Perkins cannot contain Gasol and Zbo. The Knicks have matchup issues since Melo cannot contain Zbo at the 4.

We have the best chance of beating their elite frontcourt and even if we lose that matchup our bench beats their bench(even though their bench is good). Our bench was the difference maker in our win against the Grizzlies.

Spurs are up with a bunch of roleplayers on the court and no big three or green + they have kawhi leonard and other players out. Popovich could honestly make the playoffs with the roster he currently has active. The dude is easily the best active coach in the nba by a long shot.

Wow oh wow. Stern fined the Spurs 250k for resting their starters. Its not the Spurs get high ratings anyway since people find them "boring".... Popovich didn't break any rule. Sure it sucks for fans but the man was looking out for his team which has played 4 games in 5 days and is up against Memphis next. Stern is a prick.

Stern ain't a prick and neither is Pop, there is no rule in place which is why this is a controversial call, but at the same time, fans pay more money to watch their team play very good teams and they didn't get that chance!

Sounds like Stern is in TNT's pocket. Popovich broke no rule, but because of when he did this (nationally televised game against the champs in November) and how he did it (sending the guys home instead of just giving them DNP-CD's) a well run small-market team is going to lose a big chunk of change.

Because of the genius of Pop, TNT probably got an even more competitive game than they would have if the "big 3" (and Danny Green) had played - Miami would have been more 'up' for the game and the spurs' geezers would have been tired - but he and the spurs are being punished for setting a precedent that other teams may follow in the future, that may cost some TV viewership.

Spurs are going to the playoffs no matter what... and what if an older player is so burned out by then that they injure themselves just before the Finals?

That's what the aim of this sport is anyway - a championship, and that same kid who might have cried because he didn't get to see Timmy play last night would be joined by his crying father after paying thousands of dollars more to see him in the Finals.

Douchebag move by the league. If you don't like it, write a rule. Stern never stepped in back in '07 when the Mavs' last 2 games were against us and GSW and Dallas played us at full strength and tanked to GSW because they'd rather see them in round 1. That move cost us a playoff spot.

Still, Baron and Matty B made the Mavs pay... and for that, I'll always be grateful to them.

Man oh man the poor Lakers never catch a break Sad. Will they ever get past the .500 mark? Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04 They have been facing incredibly weak competition and are still losing like crazy. As expected they are nothing more than a glorified 03 Lakers team but not even that good.
