i get it, I'm just saying i would have rather kept him. Collison isn't looking like he can lead this team if cp3 goes down, and Dudley is barely a difference maker. If we let go of the leash on Bledsoe early, we could have gotten better value, and if we were going to keep him on a leash, we should have kept him for longer. Watch his game against Gordon and an all-star in Holiday tonight and tell me we didn't make a mistake not playing him more last year.

Yeah Dudley is more of a role player than a difference maker. But that's okay. We have other difference makers on this team. I ain't gonna lie, Collison has disappointed, especially considering his awesome performances in preseason. It must be due to coming off injury. He hasn't driven to the basket. His shot looks off. He's made some lazy passes. If he plays half as well as he played in training camp and preseason, we'll be much better off.

Yea. I just don't trust Collison, but my biggest concern is with our backup bigs. They are terrible, especially Mullens. How do the Celtics pick up an undrafted player in Vitor Faverani who can block shots, rebound, and actually hit 3s and we are stuck with these scrubs. Even the Suns got Plumlee, who is athletic, can block shots, run the floor, and has a nice post game, for a second rounder and he is looking like a steal so far this season. Both of these guys have started off strong and would fit our squad perfectly especially with their good ft%. They could have been x factors for this team, but we are still trying to find a decent lineup to throw out there when Blake and DJ get in foul trouble or need a breather.

My eyes may have been deceiving me, but it seemed like Mullens actually had some decent moments last night. Grabbing boards and even scoring a couple of baskets in the paint. Can I hope that he'll get better and better at that?

haha we can all dream. numbers don't paint the whole picture. this league is about consistency and he is far from consistent. He is supposed to be a stretch 4 or 5 and he is 7ft tall, yet he rebounds like a chump and bricks his wide open looks by a mile. He has nothing good to offer. id rather play hollins than Mullens. At least he does what he is expected to do.

Hollins had some good moments last year. He's looked kinda terrible this year. I don't know what's going on. Didn't our bench give our starters fits during training camp?

It's going to be a long season for Knick fans...then I can't wait until Melo opts out and goes to the Lakers and the Laker fans start thinking championship again...buhaha.

Did anyone else catch the suns game? Bledsoe stole the ball on the first possession and had 3 steals in the first half. He took Holiday out of the game early by drawing 2 quick fouls and ended up shooting 10-12 for 25 pts and had 4 reb and 5 ast. Bledsoe is closing out games this year and Phx is now 3-1.

I hope Melo leaves so my Knicks can start tanking. They aren't going to be anything but a perennial 1st round exit with that team but no our management and owner would never do the smart thing.

Houston fans already so sick of Dwight that some want to trade him for BG.

http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=246529

Wow they turned on him pretty quickly.... Sorry Houston but were fine with DJ.

Man screw the Wizards. 13-26 from the line. Could have beaten the Thunder if they made one more Ft....

Wow. LOL! I made the mistake of reading some of their comments. Dwight is like a "healthy Alonzo Mourning". Uh, no...he isn't. He's a better rebounder than Zo, but no where near the shot blocker or offensive threat that Zo was. Another dude says maybe he'd take the trade if they got both Griffin and JJ....laughable!

I dislike Thunder more, but for Division sake I guess I'd like to see GS lose. Either way, it should be a fun game.

Damn it. I was rooting for the Warriors to lose. The division is the priority. But Iggy scored a cold-blooded jumper.

Yeah, GS doesn't deserve Iggy. I take it back, I actually hate GS more. I think I was letting Ibaka's antics dictate my feelings. Truth is, I hate Jackson's attitude, I hate the cockiness of Curry and Lee. But I also do like to see OKC taken down a peg.

Right now D. Will looks like a D league caliber PG. Even Livingston looks 5x better. Same for Rose. Irving is also playing like crap too.

Funny how all the PGs I considered overrated are playing like crap right now.

I was hoping the Wolves would lose and they are losing right now. Also hoping the Spurs lose. Looks good so far but I don't have much faith in the tanking, poorly coached Jazz.

If they are healthy they are a playoff team easily. They are a very good team. They aren't a top 4 West team but that is only because the West is so good. In the East they would be a top 4 team. OKC, Spurs, Clips, GSWs are my top 4 in the West. Then you got teams like the Rockets, Minny, Blazers, Griz, Mavs, NOP, and some more.... The West is deep unlike the weak East.

Maybe it's the health thing. Plus they rely a lot on jump shots. Not such a deep bench. Aren't very good defensively in the paint. I think they're having fun right now, but how long will it last? Maybe all season...we shall see.

They are ranked 5th in the nba defensively right now and they aren't any more reliable on jumpers than the Heat, Clippers, Thunder, etc. It is a health thing. They haven't been healthy in 2012 or 2013.

They have Pek as an inside force and Love is a great offensive rebounder which helps.

As for the bench they got Barea, Derrick Williams, Shved, Cunningham Budinger(when healthy), and some other guys. Actually not too bad.

They do have some weaknesses but the weaknesses you have mentioned aren't really weaknesses at all. Razz

Except Love apparently has to play more than 30 minutes even in blowouts for some reason. And anybody can score inside, especially on Kevin Love...although anybody can score on Love outside too, now that I think of it. I don't know...we'll see how long they can sustain this when they play other elite teams.

I know you are trying to discredit Love as a player by trying to portray him as a stat padder who doesn't help his team win and plays piss poor defense but his defense is fairly average. Getting defensive boards also helps defensively. He isn't Amare Stoudemire defensively who constantly plays matador defense. He isn't as good as Blake defensively but he certainly isn't a guy who makes your team defense worse. If he was the Wolves would be much worse defensively.

I don't see them maintaining top 5 defense. Rubio is their best defender and although he is great defensively he isn't a center or a defensive anchor. I predict they will probably be top 10. They also have a great coach in Adelman.

Man did anyone see the end to that suns nets game? That was just sad, what a poor job of rebounding and playing defense. They just let Joe Johnson to coast to coast for the win, ouch.

Maybe the Suns just wanted to lose so they could get a better pick. lol

Seriously though I am disappointed. I wanted another OT so the Nets can get even more tired. Honestly though if we don't blow out the Nets tomorrow I will be disappointed. They are pretty bad.

Lebron could very well achieve the elusive and ridiculously hard 60/40 season. Right now he is shooting 61/52 O.o.

His post game and jumper have gotten even better than last season and he seems to be healthier and more explosive due to rest. This guy is inhuman....

Last season he stopped posting up as much and focused more on his 3 point shot. This season he has combined both aspects and he is posting up more and his post game looks more reliable.

So far he is ranked 1 in ppp per post up and he posts up on 17.3% of his possessions. Before he was a mediocre post player that relied on it mostly for passing purposes and another way to score....

As a Lebron fan it pleases me but as a Miami Heat hater it scares the crap out of me. Every time I think he hits a wall he just overcomes it.

The only thing he can't do is hit 80% from the line.

Dude changes his FT form every game, sometimes between ft shots. lol

I don't even know how you can guard him. I have a feeling he is going to have a lot more confidence in his jumper this season(he should since its good) compared to last season where he hesitated to shoot against the Spurs. Not to mention better post game and 3 point shot....

Sorry I'm late. Don't get me wrong. At this point I believe Love really is the best PF in the NBA right now. But his D is awful. Every time I watch a T Wolves game, it's the same thing. Maybe at first he'll put up a show on D, but he gives up real quickly.

There was one moment in that game against the Clippers where BG dives on the floor for the loose ball and finds JJ outside. Love is the only guy in the vicinity to at least rush toward JJ. Instead, Love looks at JJ like a deer in headlights. Before JJ even releases the ball, Love turns, and rushes toward the paint to grab that rebound.

For a brief moment I thought to myself with admiration, "Wow look how quickly he goes to the paint. Such great instinct for the rebound!" Then I realized..."Hey wait a minute...he didn't even try to contest the shot!"

For more of my criticisms of Love's defense just check out my running commentary earlier on this thread when the T Wolves were playing the Knicks.

Despite all that, the team as a whole plays good D, Rubio is very good with his hands and gave Paul problems. I thought Martin did a good job on JJ and Pekovic was a load inside you couldn't post up.

I've got to hand it to Minnesota. They have found a way to play good all around defense and win games, without forcing Love to work hard on defense himself. It allows for him to do what he does best. Score and rebound. And he does that better than any PF in the league! Honestly, I kinda admire the team. If I didn't love my Clippers, I'd root for these guys, I'm sure. I'm just not sure it'll last.
