QUOTE: I'll be optimistic right now, but I know I'm going to be annoyed and pissed tomorrow Clippers 101 Lakers 109

I'm sure Clipper clowns from that "Clippers topbuzz" website lurk on here, so if you guys are reading this, you guys will probably win tomorrow, but prepare to get the (bleep) kicked out of you on January 4th.

QUOTE: The people on that forum are idiots. They actually believe Sterling is a better owner than Jerry Buss.

QUOTE: I don't know who's going to win.

But I do know that I'll be picking up Bledsoe in my fantasy league specifically because he's playing the Lakers.

QUOTE: I'm trying to be patient but its not fun watching these growing pains. I think I'm gonna need a drink for this game! Lakers!!!! Beat The Clippers!!!

QUOTE: Griffin will get more highlight dunks over Pau

Dwight can hold Deandre, but when I was switching over from the Lakers disaster to watch the Clippers, can't let Deandre slip for easy alley oops.

Caron is going to get his, but I'm not even worried about that, the Clippers have a superior point guard advantage. [CP3 and Bledsoe]

Jamaal Crawford had 27 points in 27 minutes at one point last night. Their bench obliterates ours, Bledsoe, Odom, Crawford, Barnes, Turiaf, Billups is out right now, but the Clippers are definately a top 3 seed in the West this year.

This is going to be a spanking, just because our bench is just wonky with 4 subs and D12 or Pau.

QUOTE: By looking at just the personnel from both teams, the Lakers ARE better, but after the preseason and the first two games.....doesn't look good

Too much confusion on offense, defense tending to break down more and more as game goes on, Clippers will go for blood

hope I'm wrong, can't stand the Clippers

The guys on LTB think D12 has ARRIVED because of his game against Portland. Did they pay attention to who plays center for the Blazers? No one. That's right no one. They have no center. They throw a 6' 9" scrub in there as the starter and D12 abuses him. Very impressive. Lets see how he does against DJ, that a much better yardstick.

Yeah, and as if Lakersground idiots don't lurk around here. And if they do win, they'll reset their modem to change their ip so they can sign up here to troll after being banned so many times in the past.

LOL, talk about exaggeration. Nobody believes that Sterling is a better owner than Buss, but better believe the Clips as an organization are closing the gap.

And at least they recognize we have a deep bench.

I for one can't wait to see a good game.. as much as I would love to see the clippers win I can careless as long as we get further into the playoffs... on 10/31 we were discussing both games (with some friends) and all they could say was who went further, who went further.... so I asked them WHO WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP.... they were quite after that because they didnt win...

I love how FLAkers fans + LTB Homers are worried about what we say and or do.... too bad the FLakers fans are not too bright, can't hold an arguement correctly with them "oh yeah, the clippers are better yeaha right. How many championships you have?" that's every FLAkers homer... super annoying... anywho... the game will be extra exciting tonight...

Seems like the slow start has leveled the Lakers fans somewhat. This should be a win today and January 4th. I don't see the Lakers getting any healthier or getting an actual bench.

I think this is going to be a very good game.A lot of people don't call this a rivalry but it is something because every time these teams play they come out swinging.I can't stand the Lakers or their fans but will never say I expect a easy win against this team. These are two of the most talented teams in the league and I am anticipating Kobe drops 40 tonight.Whether that translate into a win has yet to be seen.Mike Brown is really stinking it up over there, anytime you have Nash playing 34 min and he only gets 5 points and 4 assist then you know something is very wrong.Their defense has been awful, their bench is a joke, and their fans are a bunch of cocky idiots who are now panicking after only two games.

But even though this is all true I think Kobe will really come to play tonight because he wants to shut people up.With Nash not likely to play,Kobe will have the ball in his hands most of the game.It is going to be interesting to see if he tries to do it all himself or if he tries to get Gasol and Howard involved as well.Tonight is going to be a good indicator to see if Kobe really trust Howard.I am expecting a very good competitive game. But I do believe the Clippers should win, especially with how much better our bench is.

Because I blog for the Lakers TopBuzz site as well, I am tuned in to how most Laker fans are feeling right now. Most of them are realistic. Most of them know their bench is suspect. They are hopeful, but most get it that the Lakers are really down right now. They know what they will get from Kobe and Dwight, but realize that even though Nash has all sorts of skills, he is slow and can't guard most PG's in the league. This will be a slow down offensive team. They are cautiously optimistic.

^The Lakers will be fine, eventually. They are a work in progress. They WILL be a good team at some point this year. I would be more concerned as a Laker fan that they can stay healthy, not whether they can get it together, they will.

If we win tonight (and we should) they will say it is meaningless because Nash didnt play, its early, they are installing a new offense, too many new players, blah blah blah. If we lose, they will trip all over themselves talking about how, despite all of the above, they still pulled it off.

You're right. im already anticipating that if we win the facebook and twitter updates will be lakers didn't have nash. clippers suck. the typical annoying responses that come from most, not all, lakers fans. Neither team is at full health or 100% chemistry. So this game probably will provide some type of gauge on the better team but this game won't determine who has the better team. Even though i say Clippers.

As much as I dislike the guy, I actually see Kobe's point. The Princeton offense is intricate. The fans want instant coffee, Kobe wants to brew the good stuff but that takes time. Frustrated fans at this juncture just dont understand that. He is frustrated that they are frustrated.

On the other hand, there is a reason why the Princeton offense was invented and depolyed at an Ivy League school. Whether some of the more intellectually challenged Lakers can make it work remains to be seen.

There has never in my opinion been more of a "must win" game vs. lakers than this one. This win would be the hugest win in franchise history in my opinion. It will really show this is now Clippers town and decimate the Laker fan base going 0-3.

This is our game 7 of the NBA Finals.

I love my Clippers... I bleed red (obviously), white, and blue... But this game scares me. No team wants to start the regular season 0-3. I believe it will be a really difficult game to win. Judging by how both teams have been playing we "should" win but this is the NBA and anything can happen. My facebook was (BLANK) last game vs the Lakers (after the game of coarse) ... If Lakers did actually win I'm sure I'm going to hear it.. I'm the only Clipper fan in my Family and at my Job...... But with that said.. I have faith in our team..... We just have to watch those 3's.

Not sure about that, Andrew, bit if we all take a step back and ignore the 'lakers' aspect of this game, it is an excellent opportunity to grab a road win against the conference favorites. That could become invaluable at season's end if everything is as tight as it was last year.

They are weak and confused right now. We need to back them into a corner and just keep hitting and hitting them. They won't go down easily, but if we give them no chance to be the aggressor, we've got this. For their fans, there's no greater shame than losing to the Clippers. Losing this game will make them feel more like 0-6 than 0-3... then comes the hand-wringing and finger-pointing. The more they doubt themselves, the more we can quietly build an insurmountable division lead.

^spot on cleepers. we need to kick them when they are down and keep them there. however i agree with andrew, the nba would not want the flakers to start 0-3. the reffing bias will hinder us. but if we play sound difference, limit turnovers, and make our shots, we beat them easily.

Refs tonight are: Mike Callahan, Bennie Adams and Kevin Cutler. I'd prefer if Joey Crawford was the crew chief... he's about the only one who seems to always ref a straight game to me.

And speaking of "straight"... this incident with kobe and Bennie Adams might work in our favor...

T minus 210mins. Tonight will be an awesome game regardless.

But guaranteed, this will not be an easy game. They will play night and day better than they have all season. Look for guys like Steve Blake, Duhon, even Ebanks to score some points and do things they can't normally do.

Playing us gets them pumped up like nobody else can and they'll all have better games than they've had so far this year. (Honestly think it's different for our guys, seems like we're pretty dialed in most nights regardless of opponent.)

And there will be BLATANT referee bias tonight. It is the unfortunate reality of this league. Stern keeps things "even" whenever he can. It's not in the NBA's best interest to let the Lakers fall apart. 0-3 would be rough.

You have to be that much better than the opponent to overcome these things. We surely are capable and I will be very happy with a win tonight. If we don't get the W though, it's not the end of the world so nobody should be heartbroken. Long season and we're the better team long term.

If the Clippers lose tonight, the mountain gets a whole bigger for us. I honestly think we lose out more than the Lakers do.

As it is, most pundits are still saying the Lakers are better than us depsite being 0-2. This game is all about respect.

Simmons was having a fun time bashing us in the pregame show on ESPN.

Only guys giving us love was Magic and Jalen Rose.

Joe, check out what Steven A Smith had to say about the conclusion of this game. Cant get a link to it, but man he gives the Clippers their deserved respect. We finally have the attention of the league gentlemen, Howeve, its not over until we win the pacific and the head to head competition against the Lakers. So I am a member of a Dodger board,,said board has a Laker (and CLipper) tab in the other section. I am actually the only Clip fan so I talk to myself a lot. Most of the Laker fans won't converse with me because I called out one of the MODs about a derogatory comment he made about our team,,one that wouldn't even print hear but he called us something I took real exception too. I really embarrassed the hole and he knows it.

Today the Laker fans are bragging about how Pau owned Blake in this game. They won't mention no fouls on Pau sitting on Blake at least 2 times,,that was Blake getting owned. They won't mention PAu had 10 points to Blake's 15,,Blake got owned. Pau did get 14 rebounds to Blake's 8 so I guess Blake got owned.

Any port in a storm for them I guess. Oh,,and plenty of Fire Brown comments. And a few calling out Nash for being a baby and sitting because he is hurt.

Only thing Pau 'owns' is a 0-3 record.

When Blake emasculated him twice in the same game, I seem to remember laker fans saying it meant nothing... that only the 'W' matters. How quickly things change. Enjoy your 'moral victory' lakes Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_08
