| So you say we need a PG. An All Star level PG. Rumor has it that Davis, who can opt out, is seeking a sign and trade. Baron was born in LA, went to college at UCLA, is a hero in LA, and just might want to come back to LA. We could then draft another UCLA boy Kevin Love, whom NBADraft.net says we are going to draft anyway. Kevin has done everything the scouts said he should do. Lost 15 lbs, increased his verticle leap and looks grease lighting fast for a PF. This could send a short Elton Brand to SF. We now create tremendous match up problems with Kaman, Love, and Brand up front, and Davis dishing the rock. Love gets the rebs, and throws 80' pull down passes to Thorton and Davis running the break. I love it. |

That sounds great and all, and it addresses our need at PG. BUT it doesn't fix another major need: the SG spot. An old broken down Mobley and Marcus Williams or whatever D-Leaguer pickup is NOT gonna cut it.
In this case, I would still go after Eric Gordon or Mayo if he slips that low. Then we'll be going places. |

| That an interesting trade but the salaries don't match- Baron is making like max $. Which means that we may have to add more pieces to make a trade work. I tend to agree with illastrate- if a SG like Gordon is availabe that we should serious consider him. Though another big man to backup Kaman would be nice as well. |

| Baron is injured a lot. If he's out, we have a weak PG and SG He's not worth it. Gordon is my choice after Ellis |

Why Love? when we have Paul Davis, who I think is better. Am I the only one who remembers how good he was playing before he went down.
Love should have taken Fernando's best pitch and "stay in school" |

I must be sincere and I have to say I only have seen him one time: in the final 4. Obviously he's not athletic and he isn't very tall.
Marc Gasol, Pau's brother, could school him anyday at anytime. Marc was picked last year for the Lakers and his rights were traded in his brother's trade to Memphis. He has played an outstanding season dominating the paint as nobody. In fact, he has been the ACB MVP this year over Rudy Fernandez. Both players have had great seasons. He's much heavier than Pau and a bit shorter. He plays harder than Pau. As his brother he has a great IQ basketball and is a good rebounder although he's slower than Pau and less athletic. He has more heart than Pau too. |

| Thanks Miquel for the report on Marc Gasol. Do you think he is going to come to the NBA next season to the Grizz? |

First off, Gilbert has to want to come to the CLIPPERS, we can't just go get him. But I would make that Baron Davis trade staright up for Corey.
Someone said that he is injured to much. When was the last time he was injured? He is as injured as much as Maggette, but I like what he brings to the table in terms of outside scoring, attitude, and energy. |

He has a big opportunity to play for the Grizz and get a ton of minutes just watching the Grizz frontcourt: Milicic, Collins, Andre Brown, Cardinal, Warrick...And Marc Gasol knows it.
But on the other hand he thinks he hasn't done everything in Europe and he maybe prefers to win in Europe more money and more games.
He was traded two years ago when he played for the Barcelona to a team called Akasvayu Girona because he didn't have minutes (problems of narrow minded coachs too)...In these two years he has improved a lot and now he will leave from Girona and he may want to return to the club where he was raised: Barcelona and conquer Europe.
I know you can get a little lost because in Europe everythink works different than in the USA. I mean, here we don't have university teams like in USA. It would take a long writing to explain everything but just say that here the players since they start to play a sport, they already play for clubs. If you are a great player you'll play for a better club, moreless. All the teams have teams for every age...There are more things but I supose it's not very entertaining to read... |
