Yes, cause Phil is the missing link to all of this. lol

No even god can help them now...

no, the missing link is a washed up Odom, grandpa hill, Crawdford because 40% is better than 45%, a busted player with bad knees and elbow @ 23, or maybe it needs two starting players that shoot 50% from the free throw line. Better yet it needs a coach that was replaced by someone else at all his previous jobs and the guys that replaced khim all went on to do better with the same players. I'm not sure what it needs? lmao

and for the record facts are not considered hating! haha

Maybe ur "god" can help the Clippers win its 1st NBA title.

and in place is who again?and who has the bigger payroll?try throwing all your rings and banners on the court.see if that would help you beat NBA teams.

Yet as terrible as you paint us, we're sitting atop the division and I get carpal-tunnel syndrome from scrolling so far down the ranks to find the lakers.

yet we sit on top of the division without one starter, and Hill...Who you guys wanted to add to your ARRP squad. lol

You come here to try and impress us by saying you might get Phil back? The Phil who got swept in his last year? That Phil?

I guess you have to grasp at straws, eh? I probably would too if I was the worst team in the West and knowing my team has the highest payroll.

Celebrate now, it isn't going to help you guys.

Obviously the link is an old beaten down steve nash.. A soft emotional PF in Gasol, a brokeback center, a Kobe with over 100,000 miles and an artist formely known as ron artest..

The title you won in the past isn't helping you win any games this season is it? Steve Nash and Antawn Jamison can barely keep up with their own shadows let alone other players at their own positions.

You have a bench that doesn't exist entering the season Dwight was your saviour, and seeing as how that has worked out so far your looking at Phil Jackson to come in and be your franchise saviour. For a team with a track record like the Lakers its pretty sad how somebody needs to come in to save the franchise this year.. Who's going to save you guys next? Pee Wee Herman??

Brian Shaw makes the most sense to me, for a bunch of reasons:

-He knows alot of the players already

-He has The Great One's respect

-He almost got the job when Brwon was hired

-He's young, can relate to players and knows the game

-He could install some portion of the triangle or a simple offense for now and build on it over the season

Because it makes sense, it won't happen. It will be Phil, Sloan, McMillan.

We're bragging about being a top the divison after 6 games with 76 left to play because why????

We might as well hang the banner up at Staples while we are at it

Its still early............................way to early. Makes us lQQk or sound like we don't know how to handle winning.

We have a bad ass team.....WE ARE GOOD, but lets remain humble, enjoy what we have, and be the better fans that WE ARE.

Its more about educating a fan for calling our team old, lacking efficent offense and badly coached...

Steve Nash, Jamison, Kobe, Pau and Ron Artest are all on the decline.. Some are about to hit rock bottom..

We're badly coached? Do they even have a coach? Didn't they just fire their coach?

Jamal shooting 40 percent?? really?? DJ and Blakes Free Throws?? Has he looked at Dwights Numbers from the stripe?? Princeton Offense? Haven't we had 6 straight games of 100 points plus?

Point is, he shouldn't be one to question how were doing this year..

great LAKERS arguement..... SMH always returning back to championships... listen lets make ths clear... we are not talking about the lakers from years past.... we are talking about the clippers and lakers of NOW... do the lakers have way more championships (clips-0) yes, we dont deny that.... but are these clippers better then your LAKERS. the record that stands RIGHT NOW... FACT!!! maybe it will change by the end... I dont know for sure... but as of so far... Lakers are a bust w/their "5 Hall of famers" BTW the last time yall had a 5 All-star starting 5 (Gary Payton and Malone year) Yall didn't win either... FACT!!!

Phil is not coming back - FACT!

Lakers will not care until towards mid-season to play bottom # teams (making it easier for them to pass through the playoffs (if they make it this year) - FACT!!!

I'll take the words from your posting "IT AIN'T HATIN IF IT'S FACT"

FACT - LAKERS SUCK THIS YEAR

I bet Mike Brown is happy he got fired. He still got $11 million for coaching 5 games and he doesn't have to deal with a ''team'' full of dramaqueens and ego maniac players.

BTW, I was reading an article today on how Mike Brown's son was getting death threats on his twitter account, that just shows how low Faker fans truly are.

It's fun listening to Mason and Bonehead, pine for Mike D'Antoni. They think with him having that fast offense and having coached Nash...that's the magic potion.

Unfortunately those pundits forget that that magic potion better be in the form of some fountain in Florida somewhere. The teams Mike D'Antoni coached in Phoenix, had friggin youth on it's side. He starts running that offense with the starting five, their legs will fall off (with the exception of Howard maybe) and crack into thousand pieces like a scene from "Death becomes Her", LOL.

The Lakers firing Mike Brown was a shocker to all of us. But you knew what this meant? Phil Jackson, the winningest coach of 11 rings will return to coach for the Lakers - that's prophecy. He is the only one who can stabilize the egos of the starters. Lakers are automatically going to win the championship with Jackson running the show. This is definitely going to hurt the Clippers.

Lob City will see the Zenmaster in the playoffs. Can the Clippers defeat the Lakers with Phil Jackson?

Two weeks ago they were "automatically going to win the championship" with Clown running his hybrid-triangle-Princeton whatchamacallit.

A shallow old team is a shallow old team, no matter who coaches them.

The Lakers got swept by the Mavs with the "Zenmaster". The "Zenmaster" won't make the Lakers starters youthful again and create a decent bench out of thin air. He also won't instantly fix chemistry and ego problems. It doesn't matter how great he is.

I feel you man but thier deffinatly a lot more dangerous with Phil Jackson as thier coach. Those two make things happen

They definitely are but they are far from instant championship winners. No matter how good PJAX is the Lakers still have 0 depth which means they will play their starters a lot of minutes or lose games. More minutes played also means higher risk of injury. All of their starters except Howard are over 30 years old as well.

No way do I put them over the Heat imo or even over the Spurs, Clippers or OKC. If they face us in the playoffs eventually they will have to play their bench and when they do our bench will outscore their bench like crazy.

If they play their starters too much they will tire out or be more prone to injury. Either way I believe we will win.

I wouldn't be too worried about Phil Jackson. He does make them a lot better but don't forget last time he coached them they were swept by the Mavs in the 2nd round. And the difference between this team and that team is now they have Nash and Howard over Fisher and Bynum but back than they actually had a bench. They had Shannon Brown,Matt Barnes, and 6th Man of the Year Lamar Odom.Even with PJ I don't see them being unstoppable, actually far from it since they all got older and slower since he was coaching.

Also don't forget that Kobe and Howard seem to not like each other.I remember last time Kobe didn't like his Center and Coach the Lakers ended trading Shaq and firing Phil Jackson(sound familiar),which lead to them going 34 - 48 and missing the playoffs. If you don't remember here is a little reminder.

are these the same mavs that happened to win the nba title that same year? the same team many people called old with jason kidd at point guard. Haters crack me up lol.

Actually its the older teams that won the most nba titles in recent years.

Boston, Lakers, Mavs

notice how flaker fans grow balls to post on here when they come off a win against the warriors. beat a good team or a team on the road and then you can talk. smh at how stupid flaker fans are. gtfo of here troll. if phil jackson comes back, the flakers will make the playoffs but get bounced in the first. they get any other coach, they wont make the playoffs.

no matter who the laker fo hires as a "new" head coach, the lakers will finish this season with more wins than they would have if they had kept mike brown all of this season, imo. the lakers will play "better" even if bickerstaff does it all year, but that's not going to happen. the "real" question is how many more wins will the lakers have with which new coach? sounds like a good poll question to me, yes? this firing has me more concerned, now that the lakers will be even more determined to win, especially kobe, since he and phil didn't go out on a high note like kobe wanted to, by giving phil a "retirement ring" as a going away present! regardless of which coach comes in, i feel this has given the laker players, especially their bench, even more incentive to finish higher than us in the pacific division at the end of this season, and take the city series from us 3-1! HOWEVER, if our mighty clippers continue to play like these last two games, "firing on all EIGHT cylynders, NO ONE will beat us enough in the regular season games, NO ONE!!! WEST COAST CHAMPS, HERE WE COME! LET'S DO THIS!!! I KNOW OUR TEAM CAN!!! JUST KEEP FIRIN' ON 8, AND WE'LL BE GREAT!
