This article makes me a little uneasy. The way the team is playing I have to say sorry to Hill and Billups right now...

If this is our biggest problem, we're in great shape.

I think that article lacked facts. Mostly speculation. Crawford seems happy from everything I hear & I think Blake appreciates some rest, can't imagine him telling VDN off, doesn't sound like Blake. I asked EP if he sensed any attitudes or egos in the locker room & he said not at all, bigger picture is in focus.

Shouldn't be an issue as long as we win.

This is what surprises me, especially Blake. This dude is young and he wants to prove his self, so it will be normal if he becomes a little bit selfish. But this dude is not... He doesnt care if he doesnt score or rebound as long as we win. I like that mentality

i say bullshit....and all i can say is when billups comes back and we start teams off with our amazing backcourt with the leadership, savy, craftyness, ballhandling and shooting, and blake and dj's athletism on the bigs, then of the bench with bledsoe/crawford/hill/barnes or turiaf or hollins/IN SHAPE ODOM <--KEY and we still have green and thompkins as insurance...were gonna be SCARY Smile

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if Blake wanted more minutes in the 4th quarter. Heck, all great players want that. I doubt it was anything more than a minor gripe...if anything at all.

We have ego problems? Thats the first I have heard of it. Seems like a stretch to me.

As far as I'm concerned, yahoo isn't a very credible source. Spears and Woj both love to generalize and sensationalize.

Does anyone else feel like this article is making something out of nothing?

As long as our team is winning, the team's morale is going to stay high. Of course every wants their minutes and stats, but if you asked Blake if he preferred his role on this team as opposed to his role in his rookie season, he'd say he prefers his role this year. Everyone is having minutes cut, yet we're winning. We've got superstars, but we aren't a team of superstars. We're a team with role players that complement our big guys. Sure we've got special players, but we had special players the last two seasons as well. This is a special team we've got this year, and we're as good in the locker room as we are on the court.

cp3 and billups wont let any bs distractions pry the clippers away from the ultimate goal: to win a title. its a yahoo article trying to throw stones at our team and their incredible start

Maybe a little extreme, but I definitely agree with a 1-game coach-imposed suspension at the first sign of any dissent.

Speaking of trades... am I the only one wondering what we could get for Chauncey and Grant?

i doubt that chauncey would want to leave if he didnt get his minutes. i get that he's worked hard to get back into shape and wants watch his efforts fabricate into something worthwhile, but even if he doesnt get the minutes he's used to, he knows he's a HUGE part of this institution - minutes or not.

grant hill and ego also dont mix.

bottom line, you dont treat classy vets with experience like that.

I know they're not going anywhere... nor did I say they should... but considering how we've done without them, and with all the "how are we gonna split minutes?" talk, I was just speculating on how much a couple of veteran leaders like those guys would fetch on the open market.

Nah, me neither... the thought just came to me like... "Damn, what would other teams give for the guys we have sitting in suits?". That's all. I wasn't advocating a trade, I just thought it was an interesting question.

Difference between a 7 and a 9 seed for a small market?

I thought you were joking... but lets not jump to conclusions just yet... especially not of a Yahoo article (which I find to be a pretty good source of sports info most of the time, but sometimes they just need to write/publish something just to keep article counts up and clicks+comments up).

As of right now seems like we are fine. Blake might be shaky, as he is gaining a more superstar status in the NBA. Keep your eyes on the prize... TITLE. An NBA championship is the ultimate measure of superstars, not individual performance measures... It will be tough (even though it is fine right now).

I don't really like this article. I bet Spear is trying to make a problem which is not there. I'm not sure if Spear is a lakers fan or anything, but I think he trying to get into player's head that way which is bother me.

Oh come on guys, let's stop being sour grapes here. Some of us here are already stuck in deep denial. We all knew it was coming.

I never heard of a coach in the history of the NBA solved ego problem of players in his team. Frankly,i doubt if VDN can solve the puzzle unless he pulls a Sigmund Freud or a Carl Jung trick and somehow fix it.

People are settled in their roles and Bledsoe the one who deserves more minutes said that he'll play as much as the coach wants him to in that interview!

While this article is complete BS, you have to think they would say sorry to Willie Green when Chauncey gets back.

Willie is def. going to ride the pine with Billups back....Though I think Billups is going to get maybe 20 min a game and let Bled or Crawford take more of the min.

not really on either point. Yahoo! sports articles are so sensationalized they literally make the National Enquirer look tame

Just going off body language I see Caron and DJ as the most discontent when i see their faces on the bench. Surprised that LO, Green and Bled seem to be going with the flow with less minutes.

I see Chauncey taking Green's minutes and I see Green as a team guy 100%. I think the small forward position is a bit of a log jam with Caron, Hill and Barnes. 15 minutes each would be my guess with 3 minutes going to the hotter guy in crunch time.

I have to agree that DJ sometimes looks discontent, don't know about Butler, but hey they understand that the bench will play so they can rest!

well caron always seems to have a scowl on his face, so idk if that can be gauged as discontent. in the case of DJ, he sometimes sulks because he gets taken out in key moments of games, but it is usually based on his lack of ft shooting skill. but i dont get the feeling he will bitch about his minutes varying.

Every player should be unhappy about being subbed out... that means they're hungry to play. Just as long as it doesn't make its way into the locker room. Chris Paul won't let that happen... he's actually playing a career low in minutes himself just to free some time up in the back court. Plus, a lot of these guys might be playing big minutes but on crappy teams if he hadn't asked for them to be brought in.

Just look at Turiaf... sits for 7 quarters or whatever, then makes plays that seal a tough road win. It made me smile when CP3 and Blake called out his professionalism to the media.

Turiaf is just the energy punch we need at C off the bench, he has such consistency with his game, his defence is really good! Man oh man am I glad we found these guys hanging around the free agent block!
