Repped High Quality Post

but this trio has to click if we want to do something past the second round

Paul-If his shot isn't falling he has to give uo the rock to Crawford I believe this issue will be fixed when Billups comes back because of the trust factor but Paul is forcing it.

Blake-Had to be more aggressive closing out if Paul is having off nights he is the freaking second option he has to at least try to close beyond any fears at the line. At some point if he knows Paul is cold demand the ball

Vinny- command this team you knew Paul was cold against OKC and was about to call a timeout do it and run a set you feel comfortable with don't let Paul when cold wave you off. Against Nets ride your freaking starters its the road we have a great bench but damn make the starters earn their money play DJ those big mins even if fouled out in 30 mins

^^^Right on the button brotha. Couldn't agree more on this.

Paul seems to settle on on jump shots lately too instead of driving inside and/or creating plays for a higher % shots. Plus, he shoots it too late making it look like a hurried shot. This is where Baron Davis is better than Paul.

Great use of exaggeration. Just laugh off the problems and they will go away. It's completely valid to criticize when players or the team play like crap, you know that right? Maybe you're one of the Clippers fans that's still stuck in the mediocrity mindset and is okay with being a second tier team.

I'm not, I've seen how great this team can be. Not later but NOW.

You're right man. If we keep coming up with ways to improve our team on this site, our team will become champions for sure.

I've definitely admitted that Bledsoe has a knack for stupid turnovers or misses wide open shots etc. My point about the bench is they have greatly exceeded expectations all year long so I'm not going to blast them after one subpar game. Blake and CP3 are having subpar games in about 9 of the 12 games so far and the expectations I have for them is MUCH greater with good reason.

You're right I forgot a couple and it's 5. Still 5 CP3 level games out of 12 is nothing to write home about considering this team was BUILT around him, to his strengths. Bottom line is he's underachieving.

if you guys noticed, chris lost his confidence in the 4th quarter after missing a couple easy ones and he didn't even think about shooting another one he kept passing the rock to jamal and jamal was getting double teamed

Great point and in general I've noticed CP3 defer to Jamal all season long which is just weird. It's like he doesn't WANT to be THE guy in those moments anymore.

On a side note: I just looked at the Grizzlies vs Fakers boxscore and Kobrick shot 7/23 and his plus/minus was a -22. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_04

Not trying to bash because most of us do enjoy seeing the lakers fail, but we should worry about our team's issues, because the refs will have the lakers back on the road more than ours and we can't afford to free fall with them

alot of those possessions were killing us. offense was stagnant many times during the game. holding the ball too long in one possession and make a move at the last second was not helping us at all. too much hesitation and iso. not enough play making. oh... and turnovers... too many!

in all honesty if clippers want to be more then a second round team in the playoffs then CP needs to be the CP he was in new orleans. he's gotta be aggressive from beginning to end we cant keep having him look to pass until the 4th quarter where he tries to play hero to bring the team back

This. Sure some celebrate Laker failures but my mind is 100 percent on the fact that our team played like crap the last two games and the Lakers losing doesn't make me feel one bit better.

Trust me, I don't worry about them at all. I was just pointing out that Kobrick played horrible game. Our team is fine, we didn't deserve to win tonight and we didn't, I expect a nice win streak coming up soon.

The point is, clipper321 was trying to make light of the situation and the negative attitudes around here right now. Then you go and bite his head off for practically not being serious enough about the situation. Maybe you should be less ignorant and learn to respect other people's opinions and statements.

Our main problem is still the 3, both on offense and defense. We make 6.3 a game and concede 7.2 a game. That is not good. If we're gonna give up 7 3s a game, then we better make at least 9 a game. But I'd rather we make 6 and the opponents make 4. All in all, we have to start being on the plus side in the 3pt FG department.

If we are going to play uptempo there needs to be a secondary ball handler on the court at all times, and I'm sorry but Wet Willie ain't gonna cut it. If you wanna stay with this starting unit then let BG handle it and run some 2 man with him and DJ. Teams are just trapping cp3 in the 1st quarter just like the playoffs and and Vinny is still pulling out that paper that says "don't forget to turn off the iron".

Vinny, Griffin and CP3 get this loss on their shoulders. Sure bench didn't show up but it's unrealistic to expect role players to show up EVERY NIGHT. They've carried us all year so they get a pass on this one. CP3, Griffin and Vinny are becoming a problem and I'm not sure this trio can lead the team anywhere besides a 2nd round exit.

I can't believe what I just read. Have some hope 86, the season is VERY young and we are still a TOP team.

Well, he sure does love Bledsoe so isn't hard to believe that he thinks we should dump CP3 to have our energy guy lead this team. If Cp3 walks, I can live with Bledsoe but to say we should dump CP3 for Bledsoe is well...

By the way, Bledsoe sucked ass against a scrub today.

Stop gargling on DJ's nuts long enough to put his name on your list if you want to call out others. He's the second highest paid player on this team. Yeah, I thought so. His technical and his stupid turnovers help us lose too.

This where I feel that Vinny has to find a way to make them both comfortable in our offense. It would be easier if Billups were back, but with Odom and Crawford he should be able to find a way to get them on the court together if they are sucking arse individually. I mean it's not like this hasn't been tried with huge success in the past.

Again, we just had an off night shooting. DJ 5-14, Crawford 5-13, 1-6 from 3pt.

p.s.

When was the last time DJ put up 14 fga's, lol.

Bledsoe played just 12 minutes, had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block and had the 2nd best plus and minus on the entire team Joe so not sure how he sucked. He simply didn't get enough minutes or get used properly (as usual). DJ absolutely got creamed on defense but the man had 12 and 13 in only 24 minutes, so not sure what the issue is? Sure he didn't "dominate" or anything but he played very solid and has nowhere near the expectations of CP3 and Griffin.

He sucked ass.

in 12 minutes, he had 3 to's to ZERO assists. I don't pay attention to much to his points since he likes to do that best. What I look at, is how much he makes his teammates better. He is, after all, a PG...Right?

3 TO's to zero assists is sucking ass for a PG. No ifs and buts about it.

Not more than our stars did who are expected to lead the team to wins and produce the most. I'm not saying everybody played perfect outside of our stars, I merely said nobody can reasonably expect our bench to dominate every game. They have carried us far more than they should have to this year as it is. This loss is on CP3, Blake and Vinny and the blame on DJ+Bench isn't even in the same stratosphere.

Never said Bledsoe played well.... just not sure what you expect in 12 minutes? If Bledsoe is playing 30 minutes I'll readily criticize him too.

Of course our starters sucked as well but you just made the point of dumping CP3 to let Bledsoe be the future PG. If you want, or if you think, Bledsoe should be the future PG, how can you make that point when you are basically dismissing his lackluster play as a bench player?

That's my point. I'm sorry, the bench should be ready since they get limited minutes so they have no excuse either. Our team is showcased as a team with 2 starting squads, not a bench.

I don't care who's been carrying who, this is a team sport. This team would be nothing without CP3. In fact, Bledsoe would still be struggling without Cp3 mentoring him. You remember when he was our starting PG? I do. I remember Bledsoe losing games by himself. Thanks to CP3, Bledsoe is more under control now.

Again, my point is that the team lost, not CXP3, VDN, or BG. Despite CP3 not being able to put up a lot of points, he dished out 9 assists. He's also able to draw 2 defenders at any given time. Bledsoe is never doubled.

So sick of this homer nut hugger crap they deserved to be flamed they got a pass against OKC but for all three to make the same errors in BKN you get called out. If you don't believe in tough love you shouldn't be a Clipper fan join the Lakers if you want to be controlled by a tool like Kobe and the fans have no voice.

DJ isn't a franchise player and compared to roles on the team did a hell of a lot better in his than the other three. He had some poor fouls but by far not one of the guys we should lean on to close games like the others its a joke to think otherwise

the loss was a collective team effort, not just bg, cp3 and dj (who did get torched by lopez, but he had a double double). our bench didnt produce. we missed 9 foul shots, committed 19 turnovers. the reffing is an issue, but you cant win committing 19 turnovers, 7 in the 4th quarter when u are already facing an uphill battle with reffing bias going against u. oh and another thing, our guys have to step up to the plate and make their open shots. we definately need more consistent shooting from 3 to counteract the teams collapsing on cp3 and bg. the worst game the clips have played by far. cant keep bitching and moaning about this loss, move on to atlanta tomorrow night. try to salvage a 2-2 road trip, which isnt that bad, but not as great as we could have done.
