Not necessarily actual predictions but what are the lineups that you would choose? Meaning, based off of the players you like who are playing well this season.

I'll start it off.

West:

CP3, James Harden, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, & Al Jefferson

East:

Kyrie Irving, Jrue Holiday, Josh Smith, Carmelo Anthony, & Greg Monroe

CP3, Kobe, Durant, Blake, Howard

Williams or Rondo, Wade, Lebron, Anthony, Bosh

Not exactly who I want, but that's how I see it going down.

If a billion Chinese people screw up our All-star game by voting for Jeremy Lin the way they used to vote for Yao Ming, I'm all for declaring war.

I will say, I personally feel that Randolph or Duncan deserve an all star birth over Blake at this point of the season, although Blake played fantastically against Love that last game.

Why not all 3? Now that the C spot has been effectively eliminated. lol

Now the ASG has 3 Forward/C spots instead.

3 starters, and a bunch of reserve spots up for grabs.

West Starters: Cp3, Westbrook, Durant, BG, Dwight(don't like him but he deserves it)

East Starters: Rondo, Wade, Josh Smith, Melo, Tyson Chandler

I hope not and I am Chinese. Honestly it will only make people hate the guy more(even though its not his fault). At least Yao Ming was a superstar(when healthy). Jeremy Lin is playing slightly below average right now.

How is Blake getting all these votes? He's got more haters than fans.

Absolutely. I have nothing against Lin, except that he's a bit overrated after a 10-game stretch last year. But I really do believe that ASG voting should be limited to the US.

There are nba fans all over the world so I am not sure if that would be fair. It would definitely bewilder basketball fans in Europe and in Asian countries like China where basketball is very popular.

I just think that fan votes should not be the only factor in deciding All Star starters. I remember Yao didn't even play for most of the season and he still started for the All Star game. That is just absurd.

^ Nobody says they can't be fans but this is, after all, the National Basketball Association. Europe has its own league, as does China.

It makes a mockery of the game when 1/5 of the world's population resides in one country and they vote in the only player in the NBA from that country even though he's injured for the entire season. I say let Europe vote on their own game, China on theirs and America on theirs. Obviously we can include Canada since the Raptors are based there.

The NBA are alienating North American fans who pay the bulk of ticket prices and TV revenue just to grow their brand abroad. If Lin gets voted in, this issue will come up again.

Isn't Lin of Taiwanese descent? Chinese people HATE Taiwan, I believe.

I still cannot believe Jamal and Jordan were left off the ballot. That seriously pisses me off especially when I see Metta World Piss and Chandler Parsons on there. I guess it wouldn't be fair to have 4 of the 5 starters on the West All Star team come from the Clippers.

His parents emigrated from Taiwan, but his Father is Chinese.

The politics are complicated... Taiwan's official name is actually the Republic of China (as opposed to the People's Republic of China - aka the mainland).

PRC has publicly stated that any move toward full Taiwanese independence would be met with military force.

It's an oversimplification, but I tend to think of it in terms of England and Scotland... separate countries with separate governing bodies, but officially one country (the UK).

In short, Chinese NBA fans would consider Jeremy Lin "one of their own" every bit as much as they would Yao, but for him actually being an American and having been raised here.

i understand that methhead worth piss shouldnt be on the ballot. but parsons is a stud. i wish the clips had gotten that kid last season in the second rd. he would be the perfect sf for this team. without a doubt. so i dont mind parsons being on the ballot.
