Sure but to keep it fair the goal is to win a championship...flaws in our offense and defense will be magnified come playoff time. But ye I agree some of the concerns are overblown

Didn't play our A game vs a good team at their house and still won....that's a very good team.

I love the win, but im angry that we havent solved the biggest problem...no perimeter defense. ccording to Lawler Chicago is the worst three point shooting team in the NBA...fewest attempts and fewest made, yet we made them look good tonight

I miss Q Ross. Sad

I'm thinking about today's accomplishment, not something that isn't guaranteed to us. What's not fair is you trying to lump something that hasn't happened yet to something that was achieved already.

Any win is good, but this game displays that we havent fixed the thing that will be our demise, three point defense. Come playoff time we need to have this fixed. From now until that time we should be allowing opposing teams less and less three points every game.

Barnes definitely is the better defender among the two. I can at least se Barnes rushing over to defend and plaing an arm in the way of the shot.

Sure this was kinda ugly. But we won 7th in a row. That's real darn difficult no matter which team is the 7th. We beat a good team, hitting a LOT of threes. The Bulls started to get some huge rebounds down the stretch, but that's their strength...that's what they do. BG got a very nice rebound near the end that led to an easy jump ball (well, BG got mugged...refs called it jump ball).

Basically, we did what we had to do to be a good team. I say great job!

I'll brag. A win is a win regardless of how we got there. Want to know how I know going small worked? We freaking won. Noah's offensive boards would not have been prevented if DJ was in there. Want to know why I know? DJ doesn't box out and box those offensive putbacks required boxing out.

I know you're implying or griping about DJ not ending the game. But guess what? We won.

I'm just happy to have depth at the 3 spot. Remember last year, it's either butler or Simmons or Gomes

I really feel butler should be coming off the bench splitting his time between the starters and the bench. He is one of the biggest problems with the time being allotted properly IMO.

Absolutely. The depth this year is a huge improvement at that position especially since Butler started out a 20 PPG scorer the first couple of games and then dwindled tremendously, to his credit injury was one reason, but having Barnes has been a god send.

I agree. At this point Barnes has proven to be a better player in almost every category. Barnes should continue to get some heavy minutes until Hill comes back. Butlers role should be to come in for three point shots or to play the high profile games against Miami or the Lakers...for some reason he just goes off on those teams

I can't believe we have our first 7 games winning streak since 1991-1992. Feel amazing! I was worried about this game the most. Hopefully there'll be no let down against Bobcats.

Of course! This was a great game, and a seven game streak is a great feat. Congratulations to Vinny. Our record is getting better, and Vinny shuld rightfully share in the spoils. However, one thing that I would say is that Vinny needs to somehow figure out how to accomplish better three point defense. We will not be so fortunate to escape matchups in the playoffs, and I would simply like for this team to be better able to correct this problem. As we start moving along the amount of three point shots made by opposing teams should go down. Some members have correctly pointed out that our backcourt is collapsing in to the paint to help and defend, but in the process the opposing teams players are left open. We clearly see the problem and all teams have scouted us and know this is the way to beat us, so we allowing a lot of teams to stay in the game.

I'm assuming that Vinny sees that this is our biggest problem since all teams that have played us since our Golden State loss seem to us it. My wish is that Vinny is able to reach these guys and get them to stop running into the paint and leaving their guy open...this is a huge glitch we need to fix, and it should be on the top of Vinnys list

Nice win. Not perfect, but nice. Very good game by BG after a slow start. CP didn't shoot very well, but did what he needed too toward the end. Good contributions from Barnes and Odom as well. Nice to have the 7 game streak locked up. Let's keep it going in Charlotte.

Fair enough. Good analysis. I wish Vinny could do something about the 3pt defense, but it's up to our guys to rotate fast enough and not have guards trap deep inside the basket. Overall, great game!

Nah, I ain't hating on you. I ain't even angry. I just said I was happy we won 7 straight and you came in trying to talk about something irrelevant right now as if trying to diminish the accomplishment. I said it wasn't fair of you to try and correlate the two things. If that merits you to call me a hater, so be it.

Take a chill pill Bill, you were the one that seemed to have a problem with my point of view.

But some of you guys jocking Jordan have to realize that we won the stupid game without Jordan, and despite the offensive boards. How does that make you guys look ( Icecoldclipper, Jarca) trying to argue a moot point when VDN's rotations worked? We're already btalking about tomorrow and you guys are still crying about Jordan?

"time to put on your big boy pants" and move on...We won!

I did think CP3 made a few uncharacteristic awful passes. Not sure what was going on there.

If Butler is hitting from the outside, I totally get why he needs to be in our starting lineup...to open things up inside for BG and DJ. But if he's not, it's hard to see what he offers. Physically, he's a decent sized SF. He should be a good defender. He should be a good rebounder for his position. But it's not working out that way. It makes me wonder if it wouldn't be better for him to come off the bench. Maybe he'd play with more of a chip on his shoulder.

I hate to beat up on Willie Green but....man, when he's not invisible, he's downright hurting us. I seriously CANNOT WAIT for Chauncey to come back.

Having said all that, these are minor negatives for a game I feel quite positive about overall.

Oh, one more thing. I'm getting annoyed by people like Hubie Brown suggesting BG should be a shotblocker simply because he's a great jumper. Shot blocking isn't about jumping, it's about timing. And shot blocking isn't something you can just master when you enter the NBA. Great shotblockers start at a much earlier, in high school and college.

Green had a bad game but he's been playing pretty well the last bunch of games. He could spread the floor for us, Bledsoe can't. You ride with him until Billups comes back. I think Green and Butler are CTB's scapegoats.

How about Lamar Odom? His defense was great tonight and even grab some rebounds that matter. Atta boy! Next step, shoot the ball when you're under the basket.
