Dunleavy was on two different raido stations a couple of days ago talking about the daft and the team. You can listen to the interview HERE.

I haven't listened to either myself but they did put some short excerpts from his interview. One of them being, "At this point, you have to take the best player because it’s an asset and it allows you to maybe go out and do something else. There are a bunch of guys that we do like, and more than likely somebody that we do like will drop to us. It’s unlikely that we’re going to have a choice to make. If you’re picking at four or five, there are probably two or three guys that you might have a choice to pick from. By the time it gets to us, it will probably be pretty clear who we’re going to pick."

So with that being said, it seems like Westbrook or D.J Augustin wouldn't be someone they were looking at to pick up. Seems like it would either be Danilo Gallinari or Eric Gordon. I love Gordon but as we all know we really need a PG and I'm not sure I would like to go with a foreigner again (not after Korolev). So if they don't draft one they better have an idea of picking one up via trade or free agency. We are not the only team looking at Ford and Hinrick. They can't diddle daddle like they did with all those possible trades last season. They need to frickin step up man.....or I could be way off base with this and misinterpreted everything lol. Just looking at who this organization has drafted over the years; makes me worried about what they'll do.

What do you guys think?

I cant figure out what the Clippers will do... I never can. They surprise me (and not always in the best way). Hopefully this will be 2 successful drafts in a row.

I agree with you. Last year they waited until late in the FA process to see which third tier PG they could pick up. They need to come roaring out of the gate on July 1st with an offer to a top guy (rather than wait to see what's left after the inintial flurry).

Hopefully, EB and Corey will let them know thier opt out decision early so they can move forward.

I'm not in favor of Gallinari, but I think the comparisons to Korolev are unfair. Gallinari is rated in the top 7-10 picks (i.e. "experts" say yes). Korolev was not on anybody's top 12 radar (could have had him in the 2nd round with the pick that became Ewing). That was completely off the map from Dunleavy.

I don't really buy that they'd have "no choice" in picking the next most talented person who may not really be really the next most talented. I hope they do their due diligence and try to get a "steal" like they did with Thornton. That'd be awesome to get the 7th pick and have him turn out to be one of the top 3 rookies.

Hmmm- still no word on which guys they're bringing in for workouts. Hopefully they'll reveal the list soon!

Exactly...I think Korolev was not on anybody's full draft radar except the Clippers.

I have just visited nbadraft.net and Brook Lopez who was ranked as 3rd pick during many days is ranked right now with the 9th pick??!! Maybe he had bad workouts??? And Love is already with the 5th pick...Those mock drafts are crazy but I love it!!! Smile
