Dunleavy was on two different raido stations a couple of days ago talking about the daft and the team. You can listen to the interview HERE.
I haven't listened to either myself but they did put some short excerpts from his interview. One of them being, "At this point, you have to take the best player because it’s an asset and it allows you to maybe go out and do something else. There are a bunch of guys that we do like, and more than likely somebody that we do like will drop to us. It’s unlikely that we’re going to have a choice to make. If you’re picking at four or five, there are probably two or three guys that you might have a choice to pick from. By the time it gets to us, it will probably be pretty clear who we’re going to pick."
So with that being said, it seems like Westbrook or D.J Augustin wouldn't be someone they were looking at to pick up. Seems like it would either be Danilo Gallinari or Eric Gordon. I love Gordon but as we all know we really need a PG and I'm not sure I would like to go with a foreigner again (not after Korolev). So if they don't draft one they better have an idea of picking one up via trade or free agency. We are not the only team looking at Ford and Hinrick. They can't diddle daddle like they did with all those possible trades last season. They need to frickin step up man.....or I could be way off base with this and misinterpreted everything lol. Just looking at who this organization has drafted over the years; makes me worried about what they'll do.
What do you guys think?
