On PTI yesterday i heard some disturbing news that the Philadelphia 76ers are on Elton Brand's radar.
If Brands up and leaves the Clips, what kind of state would the franchise be in then? Scary to think about.... |

| I hope he sticks around. Before the end of the season, he said he's not a quitter so hopefully he'll stay. If unfortunatley he goes, then we'll suddenly have a lot of cap space to work with, so maybe try to land a big name like Arenas or Josh Smith. But losing EB would hurt, no doubt about it. |

| We'd have to find someone to fill his dominant presence down low as well as his leadership. Don't even want to think about losing him. |

| Hmmm- is this directly from Brand or his agent? I wouldn't put any credence in this unless the source is confirmed as being credible. |

I saw that PTI show. And that is exactly all they said in the closing part where they just rattle stuff off. Until we here more, from people with credibility, we can't jump the gun on this one. although my first reaction was "oh sh.." |

| From what I heard, Elton was on a local Philadelphia radio show and they were showing interest in him. He said he hadnt made a decision yet, but for the radio talk show host to get his agents number since they were politicing pretty hard to try to get him. The brought up the point that he wouldnt have to work so hard day in and day out on the east. As on the West he would have to face the likes of players like: Tim Duncan, A. Stoudamire/Shaq, Dirk, D. West, P. Gasol, and C. Boozer when he could just faceoff against the likes of: K.G., and J. Oneal, but at no point in the interview did E.B. say that he was leaving and going to the 76ers. |

| Lets just hope Elton stays. It was hard enough only having him for 10 games this past year. If Elton leaves, season ticket sales go bye-bye. Lets hope the Clippers FO isnt that stupid... |

great to hear! he's just giving the interviewers what they want to hear.
he's got a good point about the work. since when has he ever complained about working hard. or for that fact, complained about anything. |

| i think he will opt out, but will re-sign with the Clips. Philadelphia isn't the best home for Elton. o btw, an L.A. NBA basketball player is buying the house across the street from me...if it should be Elton or Corey that'd be a great sign of a long term commitment, then again it could be the Laker player. |

| Well I'm pretty sure it's an active NBA player; but lol. Anyway, I can't be sure because the neighbor selling the house isn't familiar with basketball. :] |

| There really isn't very much free agent money out there. So Corey and Elton are better off signing an extension here. If they do go, it is much more likely that we would do a sign and trade. That way the player gets what he wants and the Clippers get a player in return that they want. |
