Paul has to know against good teams he has to shoot more early. If Paul was more aggressive scoring we win

Too many second opportunities for them, and we played like somebody switched the ball for a watermelon... everybody's handles and shooting was just ugly.

We lost to a decent team on the road... Psychologically, it's better than the dubs or the lakers ending our streak.

Now I want to see a bounce-back.

its just one loss. now i hope the clips as a whole can come out with the energy tomorrow night. i knew we could go down in defeat when i saw dj being the only one playing with a sense of urgency. shots werent falling and the lethargy with which the clips were playing with did not allow them to get into any type of rhythm. the lack of energy killed us on the glass tonight. the nuggets wanted the win more than we did and thats why we lost.

If we can pull out a tough win against GSW tomorrow, I'll gladly forget this loss.

We are going to be playing tough teams this month on the road we need to be at our max. Grant Hill needs to suit up its time.

I think the best part of this thread is that we got our asses whooped and not a single complaint about the reffing.

Let them celebrate... it's only because their playoff destiny relies on other teams' fortunes - or rather misfortunes.

We've been there, Clippers fans. Be charitable.

Well, in retrospect I guess I'd rather us lose playing awful than playing well. That way we know for sure what we did wrong. Streak had to end sometime.

Ah so that's what it feels like to lose. Well- even when a great team like the Clippers, when you can't hit half the shots that you normally make, and when you give up so many offensive rebounds- it's going to be a loss. But it was a great run and definitely the guys deserve a round of applause for what they accomplished.

Tonight the Nuggets big lineup was pretty effective against us. They got just way too many second chance points thanks to their length. 3 point shooting is a crucial part of the Clipper offense, but all those misses really hurt both ways. When you miss so many long jumpers, some of those long rebounds were bound to result in fast breaks for Denver. Then you add in the turnovers, some pretty good shooting from the Nuggets, and it was just way too much to overcome. Just about every Clipper who played were not as sharp as usual. DJ I thought played very well if you discounted the terrible FT shooting. But you can't, though his teammates missed their share as well. The entire team shot just 45% FT, and a mind-boggling 5 for 29 from deep.

Let's see if the guys can play with more aggression and focus/sharpness tomorrow night- it's going to be another tough one. And yeah- whatever routine/preparation the guys had for this Denver road game will probably need to be re-thought-over.

The important thing here is to see how well the team and vinny can rebound from this loss. I hope this doesnt turn into a losing streak, lets go into oakland and win one.

That's how plain moronic they are. The Nuggets winning doesn't help the Lakers.

Yeah, the book on Blake is to shut him down and you shut the Clips down. Thing is, we missed at least 15 open jumpers that are normally 50%+ shots.

We make half those shots, we win the game.

Same rule applies tomorrow.

random, but this is how it'll go:

Clippers loss = Flakers fans cheer (loss doesn't necessarily affect us)

Flakers lose = we cheer (Flakers below .500)

Flakers tell us our streak has ended. Clippers fans remind Flakers fans they're below .500. When in doubt, Flakers fans brag about 16 Championships.

The End.

Not really, we won 3 out of 4 games this season before tonight's loss when Blake scored less then 12 pts. You can survive a bad game from Blake IF the rest of the team plays well...which didn't happen tonight.

That was kind of my point... that even with Blake not scoring, we had wide-open looks all night that we should have hit at a higher clip.

All good times must come to the end, but rise another streak around the horizon. I was so sure this streak was going to end in Denver because a) it's at Denver and b) little bit too much party at NYE and have to travel to Denver. We just finally crack, but now its time to mend it. Look at this way, at least we didn't lose a sub 500 team at home. Happy New Years guys!

Just mad the streak ended at the game I went to. Had Nuggets fans all around me in my ear. Of course, I'm yelling **** like "TRY TO DO THIS IN THE PLAYOFFS, NUGGETS." and "THE CLIPPERS ARE STILL THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA" and "THAT WAS CUTE, NUGGETS. I REMEMBER WHEN THE WIZARDS BEAT THE HEAT"

Love that last one!

Sucks that you were at the loss but if it means we come out focused and determined the rest of the week, this is not a bad thing. The next 3 games are extremely important. We can pretty much bury GS this week with two wins. And the Lakers are about to implode. What's their excuse now? It's early but we can really take control of the division this week with 3 straight wins between today and Saturday. It's probably good that this streak is off their backs going into the rest of this week.
