Repped High Quality Post

I am calling to all the real clipper fans on this site!!! Lets Take back this forum and get rid of all the negative posts that are going on!!! There are to many people on this forum that are just flat out negative about our team and it's players. Cp3 was not playing up to standards at the start of the season and said let's get rid of him.(just named WC player of the month) Fire Vinny!!!(just named WC coach of the month) BG sucks and has regressed!!! (leading the WC allstar votes for PF and played great during 17 game win SK) DJ sucks!!(has showed huge improvements from last year) Our Team!!!(after just going 17 wins in a row 5th best in 10 years and only the 3rd team to go Un-Def in a single month) The list goes on and on......

As a fan for 20+ years I come on here to read and talk about our team with my brothers and sisters of clipper nation! But all I see now is C@#$% from people that have no room for error for anyone on this club. I ask that we use this thread to talk basketball without bashing players that don't deserve the talk when they have a tough game or games and unrealistic expectations for them and this team!!!

So please let's band together and talk basketball not hate!!! Here is the facts for this team and moving forward!!! Our team needs our positive energy and mind set as well! This is not a perfect team we have flaws but there is a lot of season ahead to right the ship and get ready for the playoffs!!

We are right at the top of the NBA best record as well as WC

Clips lead lakers by 9

Clips won 17 in a row high streak of any NBA team this year

Cp3 BG all-star locks

lost 2 in a row 2x's

OkC lost by 17 to Nets 1/2

lost 2 in a row this year 1x

GRIZ lost by 25 to rockets 12/22

lost 3 in a row 1x

lost 2 in ar row 1x

GS lost by 24 to lakers 11/09

lost 2 in a row 1x

NYN lost by 28 to rockets 11/23

lost 2 in a row 1x

These are just some of the current leagues best teams and they all have some bad games in there and all have some bad multi games. Players that have bad nights and multi game slumps. Let's keep it real! I would say that we have played above what I thought we would be at this point. we are still learning how to play like an elite team. I would be careful not to buy into all the praise that we are getting our guys are not use to being in that spotlight yet. Vinny has done a great job so far this season but that does not mean he needs to work on some things.

Half court sets!!! we need to work on that as much as we can. Good defensive teams will put us in situations that expose this. When we get out and run we destroy teams and we have up to this point. but when a team gets us slowed down and we have a bad shooting night which every team has we are in big trouble. We need to rebound and that is tough when our go to has been get out and run we have only one or two guys in position to even try cause our wings are out running. this comes down to half court sets. W.green is struggling and really he is in there till billups gets back but VD may want to think about having crawford file that spot more or even barnes shake it up a little. DJ has games where he plays well but if I were the coaching staff I would go to him and say focus on boards what ever points you get is fine but that is your main focus rebounds and block shots. Better FT shooting from bigs!! BG is getting better but DJ and TURF need to work really hard and quick. Bledsoe is hurt for sure can go but is really sore as you can see and he is set up to be a get out and run guy he is still learning how to play the half court PG spot. We need to get Billups and hill in there as soon as possible no more give them as much time as they need! we need to really see what we have at full strength. If it does not look like it makes that much of a difference then I might think it's time to pull the trigger on a trade for a big and a wing shooter! The only problem is that if we moved bledsoe which I don't think we would do we would loose that run and gun PG that we need at the back up position. The only good trade off is if it really made us that good in the starting line up that we could run and play half court offense and maybe not as dynamic in the second unit as far as pace goes it could bold well for us in the long run. But the key is to find out quickly so that if we feel we need to make a trade or trades that we have time to gel. I am not down to bring in players from last year cause none of them would really make a difference we need post play and wing shooting that is not streaky. Lastly I really liked how Hollins looked early on in the season. I don't think that he needs to be a high min's guy but if you had some half court sets that he could be effective not as much of a scoring option but as a decoy that could be used late in the final mins of half/game cause he can at least hit FT's which DJ and TURF. It could take away that option for teams to slow us down. He can rebound and is a good shot blocker high energy guy!

Thanks ClipNation let's do this it's still early in the year and with a lot of basketball to go!! let's keep it about what it's all really about Basketball not negative bull that comes from a bunch of non clipper fans that don't understand well anything!!!!

regarding the half court sets, we really need to have billups back, or go out and acquire a shooter. we need a consistent threat from deep to keep teams honest. jj reddick would be perfect, cuz jcraw is streaky, green is struggling, butler is streaky and cp3 is not shooting great from 3.

It is what it is,,and I agree and say it is a good thing most of us are not the GM or the coach because mentally we collapse after 2 bad games. If our team had that mentality we would be going for a 17 game slump. We are still in first, we are still ahead of our division,,,time to nut up.

But I do question the half court game and see it needs some help. That big mouth Charles Barkley was calling us out on it and I , like many here, thought he was full of it again. But these last couple of days showed me we are not adapt at that kind of play and teams know it. If we are not running things seem off. That seems to be a really glaring problem. We are dying with the long distance jumper. When they don't fall we seem to get lost.

Billups should help our offense a ton when he gets back. His outside shooting will definitely give us a boost, but I think the biggest thing he brings other than on-court leadership, is his ability to get to the line. He's one of the smartest players in the league along with Chris Paul, and the two of them have amazing on-court chemistry so it would be great to get him back on the floor.

Also, we should be getting Grant Hill back sometime this month so that will be good to. He's mostly a defender and a mid range shooter, but if we're lucky he'll be able to knockdown the 3 ball too. Can't wait to have them both back.

We are not a running team. I hate this misconception especially not with CP3 at the point. Our 3 ball hasn't been falling at all and our defense has been horrendous and we didn't adapt. Our half court offense is fine as our players have been getting wide open looks but they are just not falling.

CP3 seems to have loss all confidence in his 3 point shot, Willie Green bricks everything, Butler is out. Crawford is our only consistent 3 point shooter right now and we shoot 20+ 3s a game. In addition, BG is in a bit of a slump right now.

We are currently in a shooting slump and if it continues Paul needs to learn to be more aggressive early on and find other ways to score.

We've got the second best record in the league and that's not just better than the Flakers, its better than the Champs. Gotta love it.

As for Caron talk... I love the guys toughness. He played post season with a broken hand! He may not score big consistently but he's our toughest player. There's a reason his nickname is Tough Juice. You heard the story about his injury in Dallas? Where most guys would have needed a stretcher but he popped his knee back in place and walked off the court? I gotta find a link on that story from some sports writer who was there because word is its epic toughness.

Big congrats to everyone in the Nation for our historic December. CP, Vinny, and the whole team. Outstanding. Now lets get out there and get the next 25 wins. As Lawler always says you win 50 you make the playoffs. And we're on pace to win a lot more than that.

For those of you out there who tire of the negativity on the board, unfortunately that is just a part of all online message boards everywhere. Don't take it too seriously. Just love how passionate the fans are about these Los Angeles Clippers. Our Clippers. We are Clipper Nation. In Blake we trust. Even more so in Chris

I've mentioned in a few posts that I've listen to the opponent's broadcasters, Utah and GSW

Their comments about us

BG is a superstar As a matter of fact they claim he gets away with cheap hard fouls and doesn't get called for them because he gets superstar treatment. The same complaints that we have

CP3 Best PG in the league. He gets superstar treatment on fouls too

Clipps best team in the NBA

DJ markedly improved. You can tell he's worked hard

Crawford amazing

Bledsoe best PG off the bench in the NBA

Best bench in the NBA

Barnes best year in his career

VDN great coach

Can compete for a championship

With Billups and Hill - unstoppable

Didn't Doc Rivers say we were one of the best teams he's ever faced?

The only bad thing was that we will have problems in the PO's because we have nobody to play back to the hoop

These are opponents

Although it was FSW the game CP#, BG and the Clipps vs Kobe and the LAL -- Clippers were mentioned with authority, LAL wasn't

My bitch is that we have to realize we were beaten by two teams that were on those nights better than we. It also bothers me that they were able to shut down our offense and that's something VDN has to address

that's why when the J's aren't falling, the players need to start cutting and slashing. when the J's aren't falling, there has to be even more ball movement to confuse the opposing D which will help off ball players slash and get easy buckets.

reddick is 28. however the magic may want a significant return for reddick. the most id offer would be a first rd pick, with the assurance reddick will resign, since he is a free agent after this season. but yeah, we need a marksman.

This team has done so much so early... and after last year... after soooo many years of futility that all this success is surreal and really a plus to me. Not only are we exciting AND winning games, but we are fighting for the top Seed in the West/NBA? 8) Enjoy it and lets not get too picky.

Yeah losses are disappointing but I dont think anything can happen that can make me have the pessimistic attitudes that I had from our years of futility with Baron Davis Brunson and even Jeff Mcnnis. Who knows how I will feel later on though now that I have a taste of the playoffs and how epic winning a series is I kinda want more ha lol

Yeah, some fans have their own player to hate and another to defend. If the player you constantly criticize does something wrong, you are all over the place. If he does something right, you choose to stay quiet (mostly because of your ego). Yeah, it's annoying but it is what it is.

I agree, as i said already after we completed this rooster. What we need is not a shooter but a 3Pt. Shooter! Thats why I also wanted Butler to be refunctioned to that.

Other than that there are no problems with this squad. The recent losses are due to being tired especially in the GSW game this could be seen with Blake (but also in the game before there were this signs already).

I am not worried about the 2! game loosing streak but what is and has been to me obvious, we need a 3PT threat for (having chances on) the "big shot" in the POs.
