I thought this was pretty funny. You hear BG in the background calling for Chris or Cliff Paul to join the team for practice.

I agree less people at games should sit on their hands and give me weird looks when I yell.

Our crowd is even weaker this year. It's because half our seats seem filled with bandwagon Lakers fans curious or wanting cheap tickets which pisses me the hell off.

i really wish the atmosphere at staples center is like home games at okc, memphis, utah, etc believe it or not it would make us even a harder team to beat at home. plus we definitely have the most exciting team in the league so why not be loud and proud about it?

No, it wasn't. In fact, we had more Clippers fans than I'd say at any prior Clippers vs. Lakers game before. I'd probably put it at 70% Clippers fans now.

A lot of Lakers fans have probably hopped off the Lakers bandwagon by now. Most of them were casual/bandwagon fans to begin with. Some of them will probably hope on to the Clippers bandwagon....

My observation:

  • this reg season vs last year reg season is about equal.(playoffs we did represent)

  • last Clippers home game had more Clippers fans than Lakers fans which I was surprised especially when compared to other Clippers home games vs Lakers

On a side note it would be nice if our home games were louder like Oklahoma, golden state, Utah, etc

Nothing wrong with Clippers bandwagon,as long as they enjoy the game make LA a Clipper city.

Maybe it's just my perception. I haven't gotten to go this year... but on TV our crowd is way more subdued and quiet. Like they've gotten used to so much showtime that the crowd only really goes nuts with a standing ovation at the end of games or a highlight play. Even CP3 keeps commenting on how they need even more from the fans. You think the Warriors, Thunder, Grizzlies players ever utter those words?

When I've gone to games and act a fool people look at me like I'm crazy. We need crazier fans!

compared to the playoff yeah it is weaker but if compared to past years regular season games, we're louder. And the fans support is pretty apparent since a lot more people are going in clippers gear instead of just their street clothes

Fair enough. I'm just watching from the big screen this year. If you guys going to games disagree, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for sure. Beyond my apparently false comment that the crowd seems quieter/more subdued I still think we could be much much louder though. I want our crowd to be more vicious, especially towards punk teams. Maybe it's because LA sports fans in general are a bit more laid back and nonchalant? I don't want them to become annoyingly cult like... like the Blazers, Thunder, Grizzlies etc... just a bit crazier.

Really guys? Nobody here is censoring you. My only issue is intentionally baiting people are making fun of other posters on a personal level. Stay away from those two things and nobody has a problem. Both of you have had a history of baiting people you don't agree with and it's not cool. We are one fanbase and shouldn't have petty grudges.

Two issues here:

  1. As a season ticket holder, you can make up a good chunk of your season cost just by selling a couple games vs. Lakers at well above cost.

  2. When I had season tickets, after the first game against the Lakers I vowed to never go to a Clippers vs. Lakers game again, especially with my kids. Lakers fans have no class and are absolutely vulgar. I don't want to have to fear my kids being in the middle of a brawl in the crowd or in the parking lot. Same thing with Dodgers/Giants games.

^ As a STH I think both of these statements are true,,,I will confess I do sell one of the two Fakers games for just that reason (I got 200 each for tix that cost me 34, but 140 face value),,but no way will I sell the last one.

I too am a Dodger STh and I would never let a kid go to a Giants game and your take on Laker games is true too. Same trouble makers in both places, they are just even wilder at DS because there are more of those cretins.

Agree. I have been going to at least 20 games a year since Staples opened (jore as a STH) and this as a regular crowd has more Clipper fans then ever and louder , but of course not liek the playoffs. Used to go to a San Antonio or Boston game and we would be outnumbered 2-1, Faker games were worse. But now we are always the majority ,,,at least where I sit in the 200s

I don't think Hill's return will hurt on court chemistry at all. I really don't expect him to play much this season, maybe 15mpg. Also, i expect him to sit out a lot of games just to keep his knees in tact for the playoffs. He'll probably mostly play in games against premier players like KD, Melo, LBJ, and Kobe. Plus it never hurts to have one of the smartest players in the league on the floor, especially when he's out there with the other 2 smartest players in the league (CP3, CB1)
