Does anyone know how they know each other?

I thought it was weird how intimate they were together. Blake is not really friendly with the opposing team.

At the start of the third quarter, it appeared that Blake actually petted Chandler's privates and they both sort of smiled at each other.

Anyone else catch that?

Heard something about them playing AAU together. Either way, they're tight. Doesn't hurt if Houston ever want to deal him... he's a nice player.

^ Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Clippers uni, I like his game a lot. He plays both ends great.

Hard to believe that the Clippers had a chance to draft Parsons back in the 2011 Draft. We ended up picking Trey Thompkins at No. 37, while the Rockets picked Chandler with the next pick at No. 38. Wow. Add Parsons to this team and it's all over for the rest of the league.

I've been saying we should offer Bledsoe for Parsons for a while but doubt Houston goes for it.

Why would Houston say no? Bledsoe and Harden back court would be unstoppable. If anyone is going to say no to that trade it would be the Clippers.

Because of what they paid for Lin. If the Clippers say no to that trade they are stupid. Parsons is as good as it gets for a good contract, young, high upside, versatile SF of the next decade. Dude is putting up like 16 ppg 7 rpg for Houston and can shoot, pass, rebound and defend.

I have higher trade hopes than Parsons, unless they give us a couple of their picks.

Chandler is a FANTASTIC young player man. Right there with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as the top 3 young SF's in the NBA who play both ends of the floor. If you think we are getting better for Bledsoe than that tier of player than you're basically saying you expect an all star in return which is very unrealistic in my personal opinion.

While Bledsoe is a beast and I love him to death he's not worth THAT much. If we can get a Gordon Hayward, Kawhi Leonard, Chandler Parsons caliber SG/SF we will be set for a very long time. Adding them to a core of CP3, Griffin, DJ would pretty much seal us as a title contender for the next 7 years, maybe more.

Ok! This must be it! That would make sense. 14 hrs ago Parsons posted this picture. I could totally see Blake jokingly punching Chandler's nuts over this. So it's all probably due to this twitter war thing, lol.

I love the idea of trading Bled for young wing player but, my order goes Kawhai, George, Klay, Hayward, and then Parsons. Now that you got me thinking about it I'm starting to change my mind though, he does seem like a good fit and he's freinds with Blake that's a +

I was sort of thinking this trade:

Bledsoe

Butler

For

Parsons

Lin

We each sort of get what we need. Houston gets their PG of the future. And they get a needed vet scorer at SF. Clippers get our SF of the future. And we get a good backup PG locked up long term. Also, we both sort of exchange semi-bad contracts for positions that are of more need, so it makes sense in an allocations of dollars sense.

Yea Klay would also be great. George is probably the most valuable league wide and we have no chance to land him. I'm telling you dude Parsons reminds me of Andrei Kirilenko where he does EVERYTHING well and is versatile as hell. His passing is well above average, he's a surprising finisher in the paint, loves crashing the boards, can shoot if left open. Plus he's young and would improve next to CP3 like most other wings would.

I'd do it in a heart beat and we'd probably have to throw in a pick or two and Thompkins.

Jeremy Lin

Chandler Parsons

for

Eric Bledsoe

Caron Butler

Future 1st rounder

Future 2nd rounder

Before you panic remember we will be 55-60 game winners every year so picks aren't a big deal, just sweeten the pot a tiny bit.

Yeah, I mean, who cares about our picks? It is probably going to be 29 or 30 this year, lol. And it's a terrible draft year.

I feel like that offer could get us Paul George and Augustine, but only if George is also thinking about leaving his team.

Repped High Quality Post

Dude, just congratulate them for their banners and say that Staples would make an awesome museum if it weren't for the fact that there's a legitimate title contender playing actual basketball in the building.

If Jim Buss can spend another $100,000,000 on a few dinosaur skeletons, he might have a rival attraction to the LaBrea tar pits.

i wouldnt do it. u know why? remember lines contract is 3 years for 25 million. first two years would be great, but in the last year, his contract balloons all the way up to 14 million. thats why the knicks didnt match. that would be a big hit towards the salary cap. but i agree, if we pulled that off, we are title contenders for the next 10 years. no doubt about it.

No, that was the flaw in the new CBA that Morey was taking advantage of in order to prevent the Knicks from signing. That ballooned salary would have been the case if the Knicks has signed, but Houston's contract was an average of the total salary across all of the years of the contract.

So it would put be so bad.

IMO Lin is way overpaid and overrated. Still too much to pay the back up PG. For 8mil, we might as well just match Bled's offer when he's a restricted FA. Nobody is going to give Bled the max this time around. It'll be 8-9mil max.

I do think Houston would take Bled in a trade without giving up Lin....They had like 8 PF's this summer, a lot of them are still on the team. Morey is not against stacking up assets even if they're currently redundant. He'll just find a deal for Lin the next day if he doesn't want to invest 16mil per year in the PG position. I'd about guarantee that Harden would be all about it if they said they want to bring in Bled and move Lin.

Parsons is good but he's not enough return for Bled...I'd much rather send him to the Eastern Conference anyway. Best case scenario is a really good 2nd year player, or current rookie....Somebody that has proven themselves but can still get better but most importantly, a guy with 3 years left on his rookie deal.
