We overplayed them too much, defensively. I can't count the number of times that 16 seconds into the clock our guys would swarm the ballhandler and with a couple of passes they were wide open for the 3. If you're going to double, you have to force the outlet pass one way, so the second line of defense can cover the lane and intercept the pass.

That, our FT's and the fact Lamar blew a bunch of easy plays was the difference.

I think it's as simple as CP3 not being able to keep up with Curry. I would've liked to have seen Grant Hill on Curry or Thompson, just to see how well he works against them for a potential playoff matchup.

A lot of this loss falls on Chris Paul. W/ a hobbled knee, he's been a defensive liability and ineffective on the offensive end.

Naaah.. Its all VDN's fault.

DTS should suspend or fine him for forcing an injured player who can't barely stand to play.

unfortunately, paul had a lot to do with coming back early. maybe he shouldnt have played on saturday versus the wizards. however, we also have to take into account that he bumped knees with jarrett jack.

I agree but Vinny should have benched Paul when he hurt his knee again. Bledsoe was terrible right from the start but i wouldn't hessitate to play or even start him for an injured superstar player.

Bledsoe has already paid his dues and proven himself. His breakout showing came out last season's POs, notably against the Grizz in a 7 game series. He sat on the bench behind B Diddy and Chris Paul. He isnt called "mini Lebron" for nothing. He earned his reputation on his own he wasnt handed that.

Sometimes, fans tend to be overly critical and sarcastic. Cuss words here and there. smh....

I'm not a big fan of Bledsoe but i think it's unfair to judge him based on his mistakes tonight.

So any shot of winning tomorrow? Cp3 seems to think this loss is on him, and I'm not sure I'd disagree

I take solace in the fact that this was a huge win for the warriors, but if we had won it would've just been another win, nothing special. Still, it always hurts to lose. Especially to those douchebags.

Not too angry. If we made free throws and cp3 didn't totally suck, we'd have won by 10. Oh, and what about those fouls on crawford that werent called... by my count he should have had around 7 free throws more than he did (if he even had any)

It sickens me that almost a third of our losses this season are t the warriors. And I think the lamers have beat em twice! I don't understand why we are so soft against them.

@big giddy, i agree. hell, bledsoe played great d and made some shots in the 2nd half. unfortunately, cp3 wanted to play and vdn didnt put his foot down. but this is where cp3 needs to be a true leader. a true acknowledges when he is doing more harm than good to those who he leads. this was the case today. he should have said, "coach, my knee is bothering me, especially on d. play ebled"

What we did so successfully last game vs the Warriors, we did not do today and the result was a very tough loss. The guys left shooters to help on penetrations and they hit a sh*tload of 3's to make the Clippers pay. Also we just could not force as many turnovers to get out in transition. In the 4th quarter especially we just couldn't come up with any stops. Obviously CP3 not being 100% was a factor as he had the tough task of checking Curry. Also 12 out of 22 free throws really hurt as well.

Overall the second unit except Crawford did a poor job. In the second quarter, the starters had to come in to the rescue as there were some bad turnovers by Bledsoe. And then they failed to protect the 3 point line in the 4th, and by the time CP3 and Blake came back, it was too late. But GREAT games by Blake with almost a triple double, Jamal with some sensational shooting, and Caron hit some big shots as well. I thought Willie Green was solid too. But Odom, Bledsoe, and Turiaf did not perform like usual. Key contributors they are, it was really hard to overcome those 3 guys having sub-par games.

Tough bounce-back game tomorrow night against the Thunder. If CP3 is not 100%, it might be a good idea that he sit out- we definitely don't want him incurring some other injury because he is favoring his banged up knee. And against a guy like Russell Westbrook, even a 100% CP3 would have a tough time guarding.

Its ok to lose, just not ok to have your leader limping around and look bad.

Give credit to GS. they hit their shots. we couldnt make ft. hill and billups didnt play in all games vs warriors (that i recall) giving us more versitality when/if we play em in playoffs.

Rest paul tomorrow and for the forseeable future, til he is healthy.

Can someone name at least one loss in which CP3 played like a beast?

He played pretty well in our back to back losses to Cleveland and the GSWs and in our losses to ATL and the Hornets and our 2nd loss to the GSW.

I really wish he didn't play today.

he was slow as grandma, everyone could see he was hurting with his knee. He shouldn't have played. Hill should've played instead.

I have mixed feelings about this. I mean it sucks that we lost, of course. It's just we're going to lose the occasional game. When we do, I hope it's due to one of two reasons:

a) We just didn't show up. At least when that happens, we know that it's totally our fault and we can/will do better.

and

b) The other team is on fire from the outside the three point line. We know how it is when Jamal Crawford has one of those hot shooting games. He's downright hard to defend. The same goes for other teams, especially if they have more than one player that can heat up from the outside. The reason why this is somewhat acceptable is because it doesn't prove they're better than our team. It just means they're shooting the lights out. But in the playoffs, I'd rather rely on a team like ours, that relies on inside-out scoring and defense as opposed to a team that relies so heavily on 3-pointers. At some point, those shots will stop falling. When this same team had an average shooting game against us at Staples last time, we blew them out. Tonight, they shot the ball like they wanted to BLOW US OUT!

Now I get it, we could have done a better job closing out on the shooters. But that's not new to us. Our defense does have a tendency to leave folks open from time to time. But our defense is so good, I'd be hard press to argue against what we're doing. I must admit, with a hobbled David Lee, it seemed like we could have concentrated even more on our perimeter defense today, but we did what we normally do and they were on fire. Curry especially was unconscious in the 4th quarter. You could tell BG was mad late in the 4th, but I liked his attitude after the game. He basically shrugged it off, because he knows GS had one of those games.

It's a shame Blake's magnificent performance was wasted on this. But I'll tell you what...if not for his heroism (plus Caron and J-Cross) we would have been blown out of Oakland for sure. That's how GS played. Any other team, I swear they would have lost more convincingly.

There were a lot of players who didn't give what they normally do. Namely Matt Barnes, CP3, Bledsoe, Turiaf, Odom...and DJ was worse than usual. But having said that, we got a big game from Caron to offset Barnes, and Crawford to do his thing. As far as the bigs, they were hardly relevant in a game where threes were being tossed up so frequently. The biggest difference is the point guard position. Paul was definitely not himself and Bledsoe continues to prove floor leadership is one of the few traits he lacks. This leads me to one nagging question...

...WHEN THE HELL DO WE GET CHAUNCEY BACK???!!!

I'm serious. With Paul hobbled and OKC coming up next, I'm fine with Bledsoe as long as we have a savvy leader like Chauncey on the floor. I'm tired of waiting for his behind. I don't think we play Paul tomorrow as much as I'd love him to make a difference. But I just don't trust Bledsoe alone to lead the team. Ugh. It's just frustrating, is all...even though it's only our 10th loss.

I DO hating losing to this GS team. I don't think there's two more punchable players in the league on the same team than Curry and Lee. And now we've lost the season series to them. It does leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

One other observation. It seems to me we are better off when Barnes has a great game than when Butler does. Sure, Butler can put up more points than Barnes. But when Barnes is having a great game, it's with outside shots, cuts to the basket, steals, rebounds and big plays down the stretch.

Anyway, I know these observations are kinda random but they are my thoughts on what I saw tonight. We're going to lose occasionally, and tonight we lost on the road to a team that seems to present us with more matchup problems than any other...and also shot the ball uncommonly well. I'm not saying the loss wasn't disappointing, but we'll certainly survive it.

Warriors are now invincible. If the Clippers see the Warriors in the playoffs, they'll automatically get swept by them. They really need Billups back. In fact, Clippers are 1-0 against the Dubs when Billups is on the starting lineup. Without Billups, Clips are 2-5.

I am not afraid of the Warriors. They are a matchup problem for sure but I am confident that in the playoffs we will beat them with HCA. Thats besides the point though I think they will face the Grizzlies in the first round. They will lose in five at best. The Grizzlies own them. They have beaten them 8 times in the regular season in a row.

Agreed. For some reason, they love to play the Clippers yet I don't think they'll even play us in the post season.

Besides, I still don't trust any team that relies on their jumper so much. I just don't think the shots will go in with as much consistency through a playoff series.

It's kind of amazing that two of our starters were +13 and +15, yet we lost.

Our bench (outside of Crawford) and CP3 played terribly so no surprise.

Ugh. My two chances to see the Clips in person this season are losses. Sometimes I make it to the games in Sac but that is not likely to happen this year.

Why we always seems to struggle up here is beyond me, and especially sucks since all my friends are Warriors fans...
