VDN is acting like we are the GSW or the OKC. We are not a good jump shooting team. I have no clue what VDN is doing. Does he even have a game plan for when Paul is out?

If we had an actually competent coach we would be the best team in the NBA by far. pray they don't resign him him for more seasons

Sigh....... I would first like to apologize for creating a thread about blue jerseys... I guess the combination of the cursed blue and not winning in Toronto since 2008 proved to be much for the Clips... This was seriously the worst game of the season and as much as I love these jerseys, I would be just fine if they decide to scrap the jersey for the rest of the season.

If you can't beat them,,,beat them?

They want to keep jacking 3's up to run up the score, why not send a message?

here's a crazy idea. Why not play defense?

Raptors had a defensive plan and they executed it well. They packed the paint, and we couldn't make any open shots- long ones, medium ones, layups, free throws. The Clippers also did a very poor job defending the 3 ONCE AGAIN.

I don't know what kind of preparation the guys did for tonight's game, but toss it out of the window, PLEASE. I heard that there was no practice yesterday, and the guys were definitely not sharp to say the least. Just an inexcusable performance against a team that was 16 and 30.

excellent post. they looked sluggish from the get go. no excuses. this is one of the games where i wish we had jj reddick. especially when teams pack the paint.

Excellent post. We had a really off shooting game and that happens. Overall don't be so negative. It's one game and there are many more to come. Hopefully we get billups and/or Paul back very soon. Their leadership, shooting and play making skills are hugely missed. Lets beat the rondo-less old celtics on Sunday!

I agree, I think we need one more consistent quick release outside shooter like a reddick (on trading block) or korver type of player to spread the floor better.

@lobcityhawaii, yeah. id take reddick or korver in a heartbeat. we need a consistent 3 point shooter to keep defenses honest. @d20, agreed. hahaha. sneaky butler.

I'm just gonna vent here:

BG: I'm not going to complain too much about BG. Dude's been carrying our team the whole time and at least he was getting to the FT line.

DJ: I like his activity but I wish he would show the same concentration on the FT line as Blake has shown. It means more time on the floor and perhaps more touches as well.

Green: I shouldn't be hard on this guy because he's really 3rd string playing starter. But back-to-back zero points? What happened to him cutting to the basket when Blake gets doubled?

Bledsoe: I feel like this experiment is over. Anyone who still thinks this guy is ready to be a starter for another team right now hasn't been watching these games. Sure, he's had a couple of decent games starting but he's WAY more effective off the bench. He is the very definition of NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME.

Caron: I'm most disappointed with this guy. He's a veteran. He's been in the league 10 years. He's had 5 years playoff experience. Back in his DC and Dallas days he averaged 15-20 points a game and grabbed 5-7 boards a game. He used to be able to score in a variety of ways. When critical players like Paul and Billups go down, this guy needs to do what great veterans are SUPPOSED to do...step up and carry the team on their backs. At least carry the team in stretches. It's tough to ask the younger players to do that (although BG certainly has). But while our floor leader is down, we need Caron to play like the Caron of old.

Finally, I feel like we need to make a change in the lineup. I'm done with Bledsoe as a starter. I say as long as CP3 and Chauncey are out, start Hill and Green in the backcourt. Feed our real facilitator Blake. As tempting as it would be to start Barnes over Butler, we still need Caron's outside threat. As crappy as Green has been, we still need Crawford off the bench. But the moment we get EITHER Paul or Billups back, they play the PG position.

Per rotoworld:

Jamal Crawford has a broken nose, but he is expected to play through it and should play against the Celtics on Sunday.

Crawford broke his nose on Friday against the Raptors and received both an MRI and CT Scan on Saturday, which confirmed the break. He'll have to wear a mask which could impact his game, but the good news is that he's not expected to miss any time.

At least he's not going to miss time, but we get bad luck. Wearing a mask might affect his shooting. We really need CP3 and Billups back.

Bad night againts Raptors even in Ft line jamal and Hill missed their two Ft.

BTW when is CP3 and Chauncey can play, I hope we are still in 3rd spot by the time they are back. memphis is closing.

Yeah, we need a shooter badly. If you think about it, we have no consistent outside threat. Billups was supposed to be that guy, but as we all know, he's been sideline except for 3 games this season. Jamal is a streaky shooter. Caron is really a scorer who turned into a stand-still shooter at this point of his career. Barnes having a career year from the 3 point line, but still not enough for the opponents to respect his range. This is why our half court offense sucks. Our opponents' defense can just clog the paint because they don't respect our outside shooting. It's not a coincidence that we've given up more 3-pointers than we've made them. When Chauncey comes back, though, our half-court offense will improve due to his deadly shooting and playmaking ability, even at the SG position.

I didn't see the game but heard. It was just a bad game. Ya we need some shooters, but even some of the greatest teams in the history of the game lost.
