AM710 They keep talking about Lakers getting Lebron in 2014. NOPE. Lebron and CP3 are tight. Lebron was one of his groomsmen. If he comes to LA, he'll come to the Clippers. Yeah, it probably won't happen but just to plant a seed: 2014: CP3 SG: Bledsoe (somehow staying to chase rings instead of money. I know... longshot) Lebron Blake Deandre Three max deals, CP3, Lebron, Blake and Bledsoe and Deandre making less then they could for other teams... around 5 a year. All for one, one for all. Its LA. There are many other ways to make millions if you're a famous....

And they are is talking about CP3 to become a Lakers. If Lebron will come to LA, there is bigger chance that he will join CP3 and not Kobe.

You know,,Kobe is such an ass. He degrades everyone around him, he blames everyone for the team's struggles, for the life of me why would anyone in their right minds want to play with this guy?

Unless you like being bad-mouthed and pushed around by Kobe, I would think the Lakers are not a place to go right now. Mostly pro athletes go for the money and pretend to love where they are. well CP3 is already in LA and we have the most to offer him, so why would he think about going to play and get torn up by the Lakers,,they already have Steve "I really am getting old" Nash. IF CP3 bolts, it surely would to be to get closer to home, not to play with the most conceited guy in the NBA.

CP3 is literally one of Lebron's closest friends. Lebron would love to come here. CP3 and BG>>Wade and Bosh.

Lebron could go back to Cleveland before he'd go to the Lakers. Kobe may retire at that time. He said he wants to quit while he's on top, not play til he's 40-41 years old and be a 6th man at best. Lebron is more than likely staying in Miami, if he leaves at this juncture, even if they win 1-2 more titles by that time... he'll be assassinated by NBA fans for turning his back on 2 teams and giving them the shaft. What Bosh, Wade and every single other player did to take less money to play there, to come together and share the ball was pretty huge.

If Lebron goes to the Lakers in 2014, it'll be Lebron James and Robert Sacre as the two cornerstones of that franchise. D12, Kobe, Nash and Pau will all be gone.

^The Lakers fans are so delusional. The ONLY thing the Lakers have going for them is the big tv contract. Unfortunately, they may be able to buy their way out of alot of problems.

I doubt LB6 would ever be a clipper.

^ Why would you say something like that?

Did you forget we were one of the teams he met with in free agency not too long ago? He even thanked the Clippers organization on 'The Decision' when it happened and he is very to Chris Paul like my man CP3Heliflopter just said. I actually see us as one of the front runners to get LBJ when he's a FA.

Well its nice to have your opinion but where is your argument? Why do you think that?

We are:

1) A big market.

2) A very good team.

3) CP3 is a close friend of Lebron.

We should be able to free up cap space too.

The only con is our coach is mediocre but that could change by then.

Honestly I don't think LBJ will leave the Heat but if he does we are a top 3 destination for sure. In fact, I can't think of a better destination.

alright that's your opinion, but if CP3 will re-sign and LB6 will become a FA, CP3 is the guy to recruit LB6 to come Clippers, bye bye to your lakers. Smile

After getting destroyed by LBJ I just want him on this team even more. He is just a monster and he keeps getting better and better. He is shooting 56% from the field and 42% from 3.

The last thing LBJ wants is to go to drama land aka the Lakers. There is no way he wants more drama after the big 3 fiasco.

4) LeBron's agent, Rich Paul, is also close friends with CP3.

5) Eric Bledsoe is also a Rich Paul client.

6) LeBron considered us in 2010 and I really believe he would have signed with us if Blake hadn't missed his whole rookie season.

7) LBJ could whoop up on Kobrick 4 times a year instead of just 2.

8) Bringing a championship to the Clippers would erase any lasting bad PR from The Decision and the 2011 Finals.

9) Wade's only getting older, Blake hasn't even hit his prime yet.

If LeBron signed here in 2010, Paul would't have been traded here.

Nah, we still would have had the main assets for the CP3 trade (i.e. the Minny pick, Gordon, and Kaman).

^ i think grillinnap is implying that the flakers would have ended up getting cp3. no way they would allow cp3 and lebron join BG. that would be the real big 3. i think the clips could and probably would have won a title without getting cp3

But they would have "allowed" him to join Kobrick and Bynum instead?

Regardless, it's a flawed premise: the CP3 trade was vetoed over the Hornets' desire for younger assets and picks. I see no reason why LeBron signing here in 2010 would have suddenly made the Hornets really want Odom, Pau, and Scola's contracts.

That's not my point. We don't know how well we would've gelled with Blake, LBJ, and EJ. Yes, EJ has been injury prone, but my point is would the FO have broken that trio up? Let's not forget that LeBron is not an ordinary small forward. He is ball-dominant so I doubt the FO would've tried bringing in Chris. Not to mention we still had Baron Davis at that time. Lot of factors to consider before easily assuming we would've gone for a CP3 trade. We have no idea how great we would've been with LBJ on this team.

no they may have wanted to build a cp3 vs lebron rivalry. i doubt the nba would have wanted cp3+ BG+ lebron on the clippers. it would be unfair. guaranteed the clips would be title contenders for at least the next decade, possibly helping lebron catch MJ in rings. the flakers are the nba's pet no way they could screw them that bad. and like grillinnap says, the FO wouldnt have brought in chris paul. too many factors to consider. hell, a trio of BG+LBJ+ EJ would still be a contender

The NBA "allowed" LeBron to form the Big Three in Miami, not sure how this would be any different. Stern would be salivating at the ratings and merchandise potential of CP3/BG/LBJ in the nation's second-biggest media market.

You have to remember that the CP3 trade happened after the lockout. So I think the number of whining owners would've doubled the number of the whiners about the CP3 trade to the Fakers.

I'm not even sure LeBron could save them now.

What they really need is a parachute, because that franchise is in free-fall.
