I doubt Phil would come here to coach and a coaching change right now won't do us no good.

It's fair, they had a brutal schedule to start the season...every game seem to be on the road, lol.

Whatever seed we get we need Memphis to be the 1st round match up to build confidence. Every other team can take us because they shoot well from deep. We can probably take out Utah as well in a grind it out as well

Chicago Bulls' 3pt FG allowed per game

Under Vinny:

2008-09: 5.9 (6th best in the league, I'll give him that.)

2009-10: 7.1 (4th most)

Under Thibs:

2010-11: 5.2 (best)

2011-12: 4.6 (best)

2012-13: 5.4 (currently 2nd best)

Clippers' 3pt FG allowed per game under Vinny:

2010-11: 7.1 (5th most)

2011-12: 7.0 (5th most)

2012-13: 7.5 (11th most so far and this is before tonight's game)

Hell, Dunleavy did a great job defending the 3 despite only having one winning season as the Clipper head coach. Since the 2005-06 season (don't have the stats before that season).

2005-06: 5.9

2006-07: 5.5

2007-08: 5.9

2008-09: 6.5

2009-10: 6.5

You notice the difference? Yeah, they're all below 7 per game, which is lower than all of the averages the Clippers have had under Vinny.

I feel like the three point defense desperately needs to be addressed and we can't have any championship conversation until this is addressed. Unjust have a gut feeling that we are never going to be as good as we are I'm November and December.

Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe, Lamar Odom and Jamal Crawford needed 34 shots to score 30. LeBron needed 11.

Well, we know we can beat the Heat. A lot of forces at work tonight. Having all the guys back is great. Yet to ask them to play cohesive against the defending champs is a tough call. Obviously James played with something to prove tonight. When James decides to play like he did tonight, he's tough to beat.

Our perimeter defense really sucks. We MUST figure this out. If not, we at least need to play with the defensive intensity we did early this year. We don't look like the 4th ranked defense like we did before.

The good news is I think we can again...just like I think we can get it together offensively. We need our guys to play together. We need Chauncey to get adjusted to some playing time. We need CP3 back. He was not really in this game, was he? I'd love for us to do all this in a hurry, but it's difficult to ask our team to do this on this ridiculous Grammy road schedule. And next we have the Knicks. Barring some miracle, I don't foresee us beating one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league.

But I think once we get back home and things settle down, we'll be the Clippers again. As of this road trip...I think we just have to eat the losses.

The problem is at no point have we been good at defending the 3. We get torched by teams that suck at shooting the 3s on a regular basis. This is both a system and coaching problem that still has not been solved after 1.5 seasons.

See those stats I posted. After we hired Vinny, our 3pt FG allowed per game ballooned to 7+ per game. So it's really his defensive system.

i can see why u say that for the first part, but the second part idk. they are still below .500, still out of the playoff race and they still have to go to miami on sunday. anyway, this game was terrible. i believe it would have been better to ease cp3 and billups in. they looked rusty as f***. BG was mugged from the get go. but even if the refs were totally for miami, they werent the ones who allowed chalmers and battier to torch us. if you are to beat miami, you have to let wade and lbj get theirs but shut down everyone else. you also have to make your shots. the only players who played well were crawford and DJ.

I still think cp3 and billups looked extremely rusty and not in game shape. Both haven't played a game in a long time. We should get better. If we can beat the Knicks and Philly, we will be 4-4 on our Grammy trip. I would consider that a success considering all our injuries.

Great information. Vinny wasn't a good defensive player and despite his roots with the Spurs, is a below average defensive coach at best. I didn't like the hire to begin with and thought it was a downgrade from Dunleavy, who I wasn't crazy about either.

Crazy up and downs with this team wow !! How do you go Frm 17 straight to a losing record in feb ?? I knw injuries etc etc but really win at least 50% of ur gms . Yes VDN is weak !!! Go get Phil !!

What's up with everyone thinking that getting high caliber coach such as SVG, Phil, Jerry Sloan, etc. will solve anything. First of all you have to remember you have to convince them to coach for us, NOT them coming to us. Second, even if we get one, it'll take time to adjust to their systems and right now we're half of the season in, it's too late for that. Third, not only the head coach will be dismissed, the whole coaching staff will change and that turnover will be enough to disrupt any flows the team have. Just cause we're in this mini losing slump, doesn't warrant a FIRE VDN at this moment. We'll just have to ride him until season end. By that time, I want him gone as well.

He doesn't know how to draw plays. Every play coming out of a time out is iso. Maybe he and Avery Bradley really are the same person. Coach of the month who tanks right after

Exactly, that why we need to get rid of him at the END OF THE SEASON.

It's funny becasue Erik Spolestra of the Miami Heats ran the same plays like VDN, but they are pretty much successful. They did win the championship last year.

nah the joke is on the flaker troll like achad92, when he looks at the standings every day and it shows your team is 24-27 and out of the playoff picture. hahaha
