Clippers-76ers Preview By TAYLOR BECHTOLD Posted Feb 10 2013 8:53PM With Chris Paul returning to form in his last game, the Los Angeles Clippers look to end their Grammys road trip on a positive note. It may not be easy, however, against a Philadelphia 76ers team that has gotten back on track during its eight-game homestand. The Clippers will try to wrap up their season-long eight-game trip with back-to-back wins on Monday night when they visit the resurgent 76ers. After losing three of its first four on the annual swing, Los Angeles (36-17) has won two of three - including a 102-88 victory at New York....

C'mon Clips... 4-4 banged up on the road is a victory.

Take care of business, then it's all fun against the lowly lakers until the break.

Get it done.

Yeah we got this. Keep up the momentum of a good recovery from hard times. We know CP3 is super focused so we should be good for the W.

Sixers don't have a lot of 3 point shooters but with our 3 point defense, who knows who'll light us up tonight... The way we played at MSG though, we can beat this team no problem.

Btw I haven't seen any reports on how long Caron might be out for, anyone have any updates on that?

Caron is a sometime description, depending on how he responds to treatment.

We should win this game hands down. Defense just needs to show up.

Hope this ain't one of those,,we worked too hard or we are still celebrating from yesterday games and they overlook a weakened team We all know from our current history what that could mean.

Be serious, do your jobs, we win.

GO CLIPPERS !!!!

Agree. If we win this game and get to .500 for the trip, I'll just consider it slightly disappointing instead of colosally disappointing.

If Caron can't go and I was VDN, I think I'd start Hill at SF instead of Barnes, just to keep the continuity with the second unit in tact. But I'm betting Barnes will get the nod.

No Caron tonight. Which means an easy win. He was the final ball stopper and negative player needed out of the starting lineup. Hope he's out 5-10 games so Hill can steal the starting job and so that he can heal up 100 percent.

Totally agree. We play the way we played yesterday, we would beat anyone and definitely crush Philly.

Jrue Holliday, Nick Young, and Dorell Wright can bomb 3's. Hope none of them go off tonight.

I'm hoping Barnes regains his outside shooting touch tonight.

you really think that hill can play starter minutes. im not so sure. depending on matchups, i agree with inserting hill in the starting lineup. but for the most part, i think barnes will start.

Like 'em or not, never wish ill on one of your players. I too refuse to believe Grant can go starter minutes, Grant probably never considered this happening either. Barnes starts IMHO

Hill won't go starters minutes. He should play the first quarter, then the 4th. Barnes can play 2nd and 3rd. Ron I never wish ill on a class act and professional like Butler. What I'm saying is hopefully it gives Grant a time to prove he's better than Butler.

Hill needs to play limited min, ala bledsoe to really male an impact for us. cant tire him out.

Butler has done a good job. we are 19 games over .500 w him as a starter. we will need hills D in the playoffs.

Barnes will start according to Brad Turner @BA_Turner Caron Butler out with sore back. Matt Barnes will start.

Butler is indeed out. Barnes has already been announced to start in Butler's place. I really don't see Hill ever in the starting lineup unless we get hit big time with the injury bug, and I think he's more than happy to play very limited minutes off the bench as a defensive player.

Caron spreads the floor and has a very consistent mid-range game, not sure why the dislike for him. Billups back will lessen the loss of Caron, and Barnes has shown he can play with our starters... team should be fine for this game. Hill should get plenty of minutes at the backup 3 tonight, let's see if he can continue playing at a high level.

I miss Nick Young man. He could have helped us so much this year when Billups has been down. Disappointed he didn't take a paycut to stay with us long term.

Caron bugs me a lot but he does spread the floor better than Barnes even on a good day for Matt. Matt has lost some shine so I hope he is sharp tonight

The only time I ever think of missing Nick Young was in the 1st PO game vs Memphis, otherwise not at all. He's Caron Butler without the little defense Butler supplies. Ugh.

I'm really getting pissed off about all the time Chauncey's missing. If he can't play anymore, he should just retire and become an assistant coach.

Chauncey out -_____- we need a shooting guard who actually has some type of durability

If the Clippers weren't considering trading for some sort of wing at the deadline, this should seal it.

I'm very anxious to see what type of deals wwe make in the nest week you know since our GM is good

This is true. Maybe we'll get another absolute steal like the Swaggy P trade last year. Or maybe Danny Ainge will go crazy and decide to trade Pierce and KG to us regardless of the Celtics' recent winning ways. 8)

Good first quarter. Defense got a little bit shaky at the end but they were going to make their run anyway. Time to clamp down and extend the lead going into halftime.
