The Clippers have the 15th and final spot available... Who should the Clippers sign for the remainder of the season???

Here's a list of some free agents:

Derek Fisher Jonny Flynn Gilbert Arenas Antonio McDyess Darko Milicic Greg Oden Tony Battie Brad Miller Ben Wallace

Most of these players are veterans except for Jonny Flynn, Darko Milicic, and Greg Oden... These three young players have either been injury prone or inconsistent but for that same reason these players can come cheap. Low risk high reward type of players.

The Clippers can sign a third string point guard if CP3 happens to get injured again or a more solid back up center. The two that caught my eye is Derek Fisher a solid hard working veteran leader and Darko Milicic a strong seven footer thats a defensive monster with a low post game.

My choice is Milicic...

CP3/Bledsoe Billups/Crawford/Green Butler/Barnes/Hill Blake/Odom/Turiaf/Thompkins DJ/Milicic/Hollins

Not bad picks in playoff tested clutch fisher and darko. I like brad miller on the list. He's a tough hard nosed player that can play one on one post defense, rebound, and shoot the mid range pretty well. He was also known as a pretty good passer for a center.

Yeah miller would get my vote barring any injuries. Replace odom for miller. We would have a backup squad of Bledsoe,Crawford, hill, miller, hollins.

A PG makes more sense than a Centre to me. We are much thinner on the ground in terms of point cover.

If a PG, fisher might be good. His playoff experience and clutch shooting would only help.

The only reason why I would choose a center over a point guard is because the Clippers struggle with rebounds... Darko can not only rebound but can be a defensive anchor and score. Milicic has a lot of potential and if there is something the NBA has learned this season is players being reborn with this Clippers squad like Crawford (Who had a terrible season with Blazers), Barnes (Who is having a overall career high with Clippers), and Odom (Everybody knows that story).

Miller would also be a solid back up center too... I just think Milicic will be a better fit but what Miller has over Milicic is the experience and that alone is important.

With that being said, If the Clippers choose to get the extra point guard instead than Derek Fisher would be a perfect fit.

Fisher is going to be a Thunder for the rest of the season again.

He's signed for them has he? Where did you see that? I missed that piece of news.

Marc Stein confirmed too... I don't want to say the Clippers missed out but Fisher would have been a solid candidate for that 15th spot

I'm actually glad we didn't sign that cheapshotting, front-running, family-exploiting POS Derek Fisher. I can't root for that guy. He's blatantly quit on and lied to two franchises and I'd rather not risk the distraction of becoming #3.

With all the pre-season hoopla I am surprised no one mentioned Adam Morrison is he still with the Trail Blazers? Not saying he'd be my choice but many on this board seemed to like him in pre-season.

Its smart to leave the spot open we have a ton of depth. So if injuries hit us hard at a certain spot we could sign a 10 day contract. What would happen if we signed a big and then are guard spot got hit with the injury bug. We would be **** out of luck and cant sign a d leaguer

Don't sign anyone unless we need too. Some players are also coming back from China after the season there is over.Guys like T-Mac,DJ White,Gilbert Areans, and some others. Not jumping to sign any of them either but rather keep that spot open in case of an injury.

Yeah, he was crying when he was subbed out in his last NBA game.

BTW, I hope Keaton was just joking when he said that we will win the title just because of signing Miller.

I think Delonte is a good backup PG/SG. He can play either.

I wish but apparently he has some pretty serious mental issues, which explains why he remains un-signed.

It's about time for Billups to hang it up. Sucks though. He can still shoot the rock. Grant Hill's looking real old too. Time to go. Re-sign Matt Barnes and Ryan Hollins. Let Turiaf walk and go after Byron Mullens. That would be a huge upgrade. I thought Lamar Odom did a helluva job, but for 8 mil I'd let him walk. If you want a player with a similar body type, then swoop up Earl Clark form the Lakers. Then our 2nd Unit can be reloaded with 2 guys that'll help Crawford and Bledsoe put the ball in the basket. In the meantime they should be looking to reload the 2 and 3 spots as well. That transition has to be made after the 2014 in Caron's case for sure, but the team really needs a starter at SG.......right now

I wouldn't mind keeping hollins, turiaf, odom, billups all for vet minimum. Good point, Earl Clark would be a good pickup for the right price. He's a pretty athletic, good defender and can shoot the 3. Plus he's young and improving. He played both the 3 and 4 for the lakers.
