The last thing the Clippers need towards the end of the season heading into the playoffs is CP3 or Bledsoe getting injured and completely distorting the rotation again. Chauncey Billups can definitely fill that role but right now with everybody healthy the chemistry is great. The Clippers can maintain that chemistry but not distorting the rotation and getting a third string point guard. Why not Aaron Brooks? Brooks is quick, can definitely get to the basket, and capable of making plays. Statistically Brooks best year was with the Houston Rockets in the 2009-10 where Brooks averaged almost 20 points 5 assist and 3 rebounds behind Kyle Lowry. If Brooks can average half those numbers than it will be similar to Bledsoe's numbers even though Bledsoe is the better player hands down.

With Aaron Brooks being waived by the Sacramento Kings... Should the Clippers consider signing Brooks for the remainder of the season?

Aaron Brooks would be a solid addition short term and long term... Short term because Brooks will fill in that third string point guard role but long term Brooks would give the Clippers an option to make a trade with Eric Bledsoe. I wouldn't want Bledsoe to be traded but every NBA analyst is hinting that it will happen because Bledsoe is capable of getting paid elsewhere and become a starting point guard. Brooks is more than capable of being CP3's back up especially if the Clippers happen to lose Bledsoe.

He already signed with the Rockets but I thought he would've been a great pickup. Just a little late for us.

Damn! I was eager to post this too I just didn't have time yesterday when the story broke of Brooks getting waived LOL Smart move by the Rockets because Aaron Brooks is solid. Clippers somewhat missed out on Brooks though.

It's a good thing he signed with the Rickets because he gives them more weapons to beat out the Lakers for the 8th spot.

We don't need to waive anyone, we have a spot open. All contracts are guaranteed for the rest of the season since Jan 15th... no point in paying him just to go away. He might prove to be a decent throw-in in an offseason trade.

If anything, we could use a backup big, not another guard.

Trey should be assigned to the Jam, so we can see what he's hiding.

I wonder at this point if the team is going to sign anyone at all. I wonder if they are positive this is the best team going forward to give us the best chance to win it all?
