ERIC PIATKOWSKI-

9 seasons for the Clippers,

endured more bad than good,

consumate professional,

Clippers all-time leader in games played

Set franchise marks in career 3PT FG % (.404),

career 3PT FG made (658) and attempted (1634),

most 3PT FG made in a game (7), and highest 3PT FG % for a season (.466).

Also played in three different local home arenas, and has a longer NBA past than either the Memphis Grizzlies or Toronto Raptors franchises.

DANNY MANNNG would be my 2nd choice

Side note/off topic: Yaroslev Korolev is by far the WORST draft pick the Clippers ever drafted. I still SMH when I see that name.

CP3 (if he stays) and Blake will get their jerseys retired in the future!

Probably none, maybe McAdoo because of the MVP and scoring titles but it was on the Braves and he was also a Laker so I'd say no one just yet.

They should retire #42. I would hate to see that number in a clipper uniform again.

But being serious, Brand was awesome when he was here. Brought life and hope to the franchise. That 2006 season was one of most memorable seasons in franchise history. Cassell did help.

Bob Mac. Not on a Clipper jersey, hang up a Braves BMac jersey.

We shouldn't retire any jerseys of players that didn't really want to be here. Brand had many good years...7 in total...but he tried to bounce to Miami and the Clippers countered to keep him. Then he showed his true feelings when he left for the Sixers after Baron signed. He deserved that achilles injury that ultimately made him one of the insignificant players. And the laugh is on the Sixers for signing him to that ridiculous contract that ultimately forced them to amnesty him. Lakers also added to the Sixers bad luck by giving them Andrew Bynum who will probably not play a single game for them ever. Guys like Mark Jackson and Dominique Wilkins will have, if not already, their jerseys retired for other teams because they're careers are identified elsewhere. Jackson I believe plans on going into the hall of fame as a Knick, but probably really should as a Pacer (small market issues). Shaq only spent 8 years of his career in LA, but went to 4 championships and had the three-peat. The Lakers uniform identifies his career and, even though he left on a bad note, he has been working to get invited back in for the last few years. I believe they are adding his jersey up on the wall on April 2. That would be hilarious if they planned it on April 1 and then told him it was a joke at the game. Anyway, until the Clippers have a player that has a long enough tenure and identifies himself as a Clipper first, then no retired jerseys. Hopefully CP3 and/or Blake Griffin will be the first.

Lakers and Celtics take two different approaches. The Lakers are more picky about their retired numbers than the Hall of Fame. The Lakers don't retire your number unless you are inducted into the hall of fame and go in as a Laker. So Jamaal Wilkes and Gail Goodrich who were multiple title winners and perrenial all stars were left waiting for many years to get their numbers retired. The Celtics seem to retire every number of every all star that ever played for them. They also hang all of their division and conference winner banners up. It's to make it look like they have so many great players and seasons, but really it's just tacky. I'd rather the Clippers follow the Lakers philosophy that 2nd place is a wasted season. Or, to quote Top Gun, "The plaque for the alternates is in the ladies room."

Loy Vaught!!! I remember Lawler used to call him Mr. Clipper.

Agreed with above, it would have to be Blake and CP3 because they changed the culture and image of our team.

NONE. no one so far is even close to having their jersey retired as a clipper because we haven't accomplished anything.... yet. only person who deserves to be up there is ralph lawler and ralph lawler only.
