we went from being #1, having a month of december like never before, riding high and talking championship ..and now to flopping against teams like orlando-toronto, and our inability to COMPETE with teams like memphis, okc and spurs (out coached)

but the way things are shaping up is our current position actually better for us than the 1-2-3 spot?

first off...someone is gonna get lucky and play Houston in the 1st round, and then someone is gonna **** bricks and play the lakers in the 1st round

then comes memphis and the 3 spot, and the way it looks it most likely be that 3 team, is gonna play our dads ...Golden state, and thats a no no for us in the 1st round

but here comes the real bad news......

Vinnie "ill adjust to ur team" Negro VS George "im gonna mess with your mind" Karl

there's no doubt Denver is gonna come confident against us, but its a team we can beat if we have a lot of player only meetings and in game huddles aka ignore vinnie style ball that we do a lot

but 4 does play 1 in the next round aaand just like last year......it wont be pretty

i dont think CP3 can go through another sweep and then not question his status with the clips

its so obvious whe3n fans of other teams (the lakers) sign up to this forum smh

no top team is gonna **** bricks cause they gotta play the lakers lol... the lakers have only beaten 2 good teams ALL YEAR (the pacers and the thunder) NO ONE is scared of them

and the race for the 3rd spot is still up in the air so your whole post is flawed

and tbh th 4th seed might be a blessing in disguise... we can easily have to play memphis (5th seed) and and altho tough they are beatable... and if teh lakers could somehow upset the spurs we would sweep the lakers and go to the west finals... where in this scenario we'd prolly play the nuggets cause they can beat the thunder... and suddenly the team you think we would be playing in the 1st round would become our western conference title opponents

but if we got swept out the playoffs and cp3 is the true leader we all think he is, then the 1st thing he is going to do is look at himself and try to figure out what HE needs to do in order to not be swept 2 years in a row... he is in fact the leader of our team and true leaders dont blame others... so if we got swept it would be his fault just as much as ANYBODY

cp3 is not kobe bryant... he does not blame everyone else for his short comings... you wont see cp3 pushing people under the bus

on top of that... CP3 co-signed this team

when we were about to make moves right before the trade deadline it was cp3 who came out and said he wants the team to stay pat... all of a sudden you think losing in the playoffs will make him turn and run from what he created?? lol so he can go somehwere with less talent and less control??

he's just going to enjoy the most success he has ever had over a 2 year span then leave?? lol...and make less money??

cp3 not going no where man... a decision like that would tarnish his reputation tbh

CP3 stays,,he just adjusts his GM duties. He will indirectly pick a coach and a few parts we need. He is a star, is making more money then he can spend in his life time, CP3 jr will never have to work unless he wants to. After his first full year he can see what is needed. I can't fathom with his personality that he would leave. He seems like the type that won't quit until he finishes something and he needs to get the CLips a banner.

My favorite line of KPs....."cp3 is not kobe bryant... he does not blame everyone else for his short comings... you wont see cp3 pushing people under the bus". Ain't that the truth? I wonder if Kobrick has ever taken into account he could be a problem. NEver seen anyone like that thrwoing team mates under the bus,,,I don't even know why anyone would play for that team with him on it. It can't be any fun.

I would LOVE to play the Fakers int he first round and bounce them all the way back to oblivion.

Repped High Quality Post

Just so much wrong with this post...

We can't COMPETE with the Grizz? You mean the team we're 2-1 against on the season? The team we bounced out of the playoffs on their own floor? The team we have a stronger conference record than and an easier stretch run? The team we were down 3 points to in the 4th quarter despite our starting SF being out and our 2nd leading scorer shooting a season-low 10% against them?

Golden State "our dads"? Well our dads are 2 games out from missing the entire playoffs... they're a .500 team since the break and they still have to play OKC, the Spurs twice, and other borderline playoff teams 5 times (lakers twice, portland twice, houston once). Most analysts are picking them to be the ones the lakers force out of the picture, so we won't even see them unless they start playing A LOT better or we miraculously snag a top-2 spot.

The fact is, there are 5 quality teams in the West. One of them has to lose a first-round matchup. Personally, I don't think it will be us. In the second round, we'd have to go through OKC or the Spurs... same as it ever was.

And as for the 'tuning Vinny out" argument... wasn't it "coach Paul" and "coach Billups" who were responsible for our great early season form? Where are they now? Did they decide they preferred losing so they 'started' listening to the coach? It's the same old nonsense about Vinny... no credit for the 45 wins, but ALL the blame for the 21 losses. You sound ridiculous.

Denver had a bad run to start the season, Memphis had one midseason, we're having ours right now. We've got 16 games to get our house in order and a month is a long time in the NBA. Chill out. You sound like a troll.

Ron, this isn;t the time to be cocky and say we'd "love" to face a particular team in the playoffs. At this point, we're a very beatable team.

I know,,but when a Faker fan tells me my team is doomed it gets on my left nerve and I feel as though I need to retort.

It just angers me. Normally I can let it go but people that live in glass houses.........

It's like my favorite Laker ass wiper Rob Fukazaki says last week in his "sports report",,he makes fun of the Clips barely hanging on my a thread for 3rd (which is true now but it wasn't then) but the glorious Lakers are headed for the finals because they were now 1/2 game in the 8th playoff spot.

I know we have problems,,you'd have to be blind to not see it,,but in my heart I know this team can compete with anyone, they just have to keep their cool and play the way they can.

The only team I'm truly worried about us playing is the Denver Nuggets because they have a very unique and real homecourt advantage that makes it tough for us to play against. Even then, we should have the edge as long as we retain homecourt advantage when we face them. Otherwise, all of the other teams are very beatable.

Memphis is good, and they have a good half court offense, but overall we're still the better team by far.

The Thunder are as good right now as they're going to be all season. What I mean by that is they're at their peak right now. I don't see them as a team that still has room to improve.

The Spurs are always a concern, and it's always worrisome when VDN goes up against the Pop, but the depth and experience of our team should not be discounted. We have a bunch of guys who know how to play, and know what it takes to win against teams like this. We're not the same group of kids that the Spurs could literally run circles around like last year. We're in a much better position to make proper adjustments and pull out the upset. Also, much like the Thunder, i believe that the Spurs have peaked as far as reaching their potential.

Our problem is that for some reason or another, we seem to have lost our cohesiveness. We've ran into a couple of hiccups since the all-star break but there's no doubt that we still haven't come close to reaching our potential. The question now is if we'll finally start to hit our stride at the right time, and with their being less than 20 games left, it's starting to seem like it's now or never for us.

i have a ton of faith in this group as should all of you. This isn't just a group of talented guys put together on a team to try and make something happen. This is a team of proven veterans known for their ability to make stuff happen when their team needs them. As long as their able to come together and play hard like they've been doing all season, there's no reason we shouldn't be able to take it to the ship!

Pretty shiet time to have a bad run, too many unknowns with this team right now with inconsistent performances and injuries

CP3 won't leave. We will just get a new coach in the offseason. SVG would be a good choice. At least his teams could defend the 3 ball and run plays.

We should be able to get out of the first round. Anything after that is an unknown at this point. I am confident we can beat the Grizzlies but it will be extremely difficult without HCA(like last time). We won't be making another 20s points come back.

Perfect time to be in a slump IMHO. Get the hiccups out of the way now, then with 6 games left, get hot to close out the season!

True. Big part of playoffs is not being the best as much as being on a nice roll going into the deal (but being the best on a roll pretty much takes care of the rest of us,,cough cough Miami),,and that we are not on,,at least not yet. there is time of course but they need to really refocus and decide how much they really want it this year

Bad run? Winning ten out of our last 14 games is a bad run? We have to beat the elite teams in the post season not in feb and march. We haven't lost 2 in a row in over a month. And versus the Lakers (who anybody would be lucky to play in round one) and Spurs we are a combined 5-1. We have a nice six game stretch of beatable teams in winnable environments leading to the fourth and final Spurs game. We're looking good. Lets start off with a W tomorrow versus those New Yawk bums!

Couldn't have said it any better.

The only teams that have beaten us recently are top teams anyway, and that could serve to be the perfect kick up the arse we need to step it up in the playoffs.
