What a GREAT JOB by the guys to grind this out. A signature win.

Great job by CP3- simply clutch. He was also terrific vs D-Will defensively. DJ- a very nice game as well- grabbing key rebounds and hitting some big hoops. Solid D by Barnes, and it was great to see E-Bled back- he made some good plays in limited minutes. Jamal made that awesome steal too that was just a killer. Blake had issues vs Reggie, but his activity and rebounding down the stretch really helped the cause as well.

Most meaningful win since Indiana. And FINALLY, Chris outduels his superstar PG opponent.

Whew. Well we looked sloppy and survived a crap game by Blake. That makes two pretty lack luster games from him in a row. He better return but quick! We need him now more than ever! Still he had an offensive rebound down the stretch that may well have been HUGE. Plus, I gotta tip my hat off to Brooklyn's defense. I think they were pretty active out there tonight.

Big time steal by Crawford. Big time performance by Paul...and against another great PG.

Gotta give props to DJ and Willie Green.

I think it's very important that Vinny incorporate more low post play by both DJ and Blake. DJ was effective tonight and Blake usually is. Coach can't forget that.

Yes that was good hustle from Blake. I was surprised Reggie Evans guarded him so well. It seems like a tough matchup. I think Evans knows how to defend BG well due to playing with him.

Funny how D. Will gets blocked twice by a 5'11 PG. Understandable if it was Bledsoe but it was Cp3.

I have to admit, though I loved that Willie was shooting well from the outside, I did NOT like our strategy of shooting jump shots against their strategy of scoring in the paint. If we tried that all night, we'd have lost for sure.

We were forced to take more jumpers since Reggie Evans was playing good D on Blake. Maybe we should have featured DJ a bit more on the post this game. Willie was terrific this game should have gotten more burn. Was good in his entire 20 minutes.

Oh yeah- glad to see VDN have some faith there in DJ. But thankfully the Nets didn't employ hack a DJ. We didn't do hack a Reggie either.

I forgot to give props to Willie- GREAT game 15 points, 6 for 8 shooting, 2 steals in just 20 minutes. One thing Willie does very well in addition to 3 point shooting is cutting to the hoop when Blake is in the post. I don't know why more Clippers don't do that when Blake gets it down low.

Yeah, he's had a lot of practice time against him...as did Kenyon Martin. lol

Blake has a lot of great moves, but once he learns from Hakeem (hopefully he will), he'll really know how to use those moves more efficiently. Hakeem would definitely teach him how to score with just one or two moves, instead of 3 or 4. Still, I wouldn't have minded seeing him try a driving hook tonight. He has so many movies, I think he sometimes forgets some of them.

I don't think he should learn from Hakeem. Hakeem is more of a finesse player. A Center with guard like moves. Copying his style isn't easy for bigs and Blake is more of a power player. He needs to overpower his opponent and bully them with his strength in my opinion. Sort of like Shaq I guess.

I remember one game in the first half of the season, Green got 3 or 4 baskets with that same play from Blake. It's very effective. In fact, good things usually happen when we spread out and feed Blake down low. Be it by him scoring or passing the ball.

Problem with that is not everybody can be Shaq. Shaq was over 300 lbs and basically allowed to push his defenders under the basket his whole career. Blake, on the other hand, has already shown a couple of Hakeem-like moves.

Blake against these guys that don't bite for his fakes should just catch the ball in the post (or back in to a manageable spot) and just frigging elevate over these guys who have no chance to block his shot. Elevate and bank it in. You do enough of those, eventually they will bite for the fake and you can drive past them.

Reggie is a smart defender- he is not going to get faked out unless you have success shooting over him.

Nice hard fought win against an opponent playing quality ball of late, Clips needs more Ws like this going into the postseason. CP3 was just on tonight, been a while since he's been our super closer. Now if we can only get Denver to lose...

Or Memphis for that matter. Marc Gasol is out which helps. I never wish injury on another player but he is definitely their most important player or 2nd most important player. He is one of the best defensive Cs in the league and a very versatile overall player.

As crappy as Blake seemed to play, he's a surprising +15 tonight. DJ was +16! Paul was +9.

Quality win. I doubt Brooklyn could play any better than that and for the first 3 quarters the refs were atrocious.

Excellent hustle. Rebounding and defense looked real solid... playoff basketball! Those last 6 minutes or so were just a pleasure to watch.

As someone eluded to before, we're not always going to get this kind of game from Willie...indeed, this may be his best game as a Clipper. But I can't help thinking we play better with him there. Maybe it's because he cuts to the basket. Maybe it's because of his defense. Maybe it's because he's slightly bigger at SG then Chauncey and can certainly elevate better. Maybe it's because Paul has more pressure on him to be Point God. Somehow it works out better. Most of the time he's going to have about 6-8 points...then Jamal steps in and does what he does. Tonight Willie deserved to play about 30 minutes. But either way, he did a great job for us.

Chauncey and Grant can really help in spurts, but frankly if I had to choose between playing them all the time or not playing them at all, I'd go with the latter. We just play better without them when the other personnel is healthy. They make us play old and slow like the other team in LA.

Willie did great tonight, but yeah unless Jamal is just struggling terribly, I'd stay with Jamal over Willie down the stretch.

That said, if we need a play to shoot a 3, Willie definitely needs to be in there for the play.

Agree, Willie from the corner three is deadly. I think he is the best option at spotting up from the corner on this team. Also, really great game by DJ! If he could only improve his fts, he'd definitely be a keeper if he can play with any consistency. The reason why they didn't hack him was because they probably didn't want us to hack Reggie (even though in both games against us he has really hit his free throws). I'd say he got the best of Lopez, which is a surprise

Happy Birthday

The Good you get gifts; The Bad - you get old; The Ugly -what you look like when you get old

The Good - LOPEZ COULDN'T GUARD DJ!; The Bad DJ couldn't guard Lopez. Put a body on him; The Ugly - that brick FT

The Good- CP3; The Bad -why didn't BG get the rock; The Ugly -How DWill looked when he got his ankles broke

The Good EB's play; The Bad -He didn't play more; The Ugly - The way he made the Nets look by stopping Watson and making clutch shots

I cast my ballot for EB for starting SG

The Good - we gave the ball to Jamal and he was hot; The Bad -we always gave the ball to Jamal; The Ugly - when we give the ball to Jamal and he's cold

The Good MAT BARNES; The bad- when Butler replaced him and got bit; The Ugly What happens when you're not around

The Good - Willie Fu*knig Green; The Bad where have you been? ; The Ugly - Your MFing three ballin' 15 pts

The good - BG's final rebounds; The Bad - FT shooting; The Ugly - his attitude

The Good Reggie Evans' FT shooting; the Bad we made him too expensive for us to afford; the ugly - his ft shooting last yr

The Good- LO has a one year contract; the Bad - how we all feel because we's not playing well; the Ugly-how he's playing

The Good the energy and effort, THIS WIN: The Bad - Denver & MEM won; The Ugly- LAL

Too Hip's "Sique Player of the Game" (pronounced SICK) DeAndre Jordan by a hair over Willie G. I hope soon to be called Willie Guns

Note to DJ. Watch LO. Learn to body up guys like Lopez who can shoot over you. Don't give him space. Coming in from the weak side isn't the only way to play. BG, CP3 and Barnes are meaner than an IRS rep. Get mean

I agree with a lot of you. Willie might be a better fit for us then Big Shot in the starting lineup. He is money from 3 pointer. He is quicker and better on defense then Billups. He was the starter during our 17 game winning streak.

The thing we don't know is if he can come up big in the playoffs. The pressure is different.

All about matchups. Jamal is small and Willie is a better defender

For sh*ts and giggles. Lawler said Willie was in a slump early on. I know stats don't tell the whole story because JC creates his own shot but WG ain't chopped liver

JC 3 pt% - 0.380; FG% - 0.440 FT% 0.86 6'6" 185#

WG 3pt% 0.388 FG% 0.437 FT% ~ 0.80 6'4" 200#

Speaking of slump, Hill can't even hit a shot in shootaround

I think we should cut ties with Odom, Hill, and Billups this offseason, look for new and promising prospects, maybe get a really good backup big in the draft.

Just saw the rest of the game......we were getting jobbed left and right by the officials at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Barnes got screwed twice, Lamar got screwed and Humphries push in the back on CP3 was not called.

Glad we fought hard and kept battling and found a way to win against a playoff worthy opponent.

Chris's clutch shots, Jamals steal, DJ's and Blake's rebounding and Bledsoe's clutch shots all attributed to a grind it out quarter.

However, I was VERY surprised to see DJ in at the end of the game considering it was a 1 possession game.

If anything, I would've def done the Hack a Jordan.

Oh by the way.......SPECTACULAR and 1 shot by Chris!!

I was rather dissapointed in Billups this season. He has been out of the lineup more than he has been in. Hill has been a non factor as well, and while Odom can be an asset he hardly is worth the 8 million per year we are paying him.

This offseason we need to cut ties with Hill, Hollins, Turiaf, and Green. We need to resign Odom for the veterans minimum (this will save us 6-7 million and if he doesnt want that let him walk). We need to give Matt Barnes a better contract (perhaps 2 or 3 mill per year for two years).

As much as people may dissagree with me we also need to move Billups into the coaching staff and let it be known that his playing days are over. I love the guy, but hes done as a player. Still, we cant deny the guy has a knck for coahing and calming the players, so i want to retain him and eventually groom him as a potential coach or assistant coach.

The next move we need to make is to revisit the Trevor Ariza for Caron Butler trade. Ariza is younger, can play better D, and seems to just have more in the tank than Butler.

We need to also draft for positions we are weak at like the SG position. No more guys in their late thirties we need to make sure we are staying athletic.

Anybody notice Vinny's key substitutions in the 4th quarter? He kept staggering our best players which is what all good coaches SHOULD do. I think the criticism is getting to him about his rotations. Which is good because his identical subs every single game is annoying as fu** and a terrible strategy.

Seemed couple of Lopez's buckets came off late rotations when DJ went trap or switched on screens even still DJ has to body him and just has to let Blake worry about help defense.
