Can't help it. I'm loving that VDN is giving DJ a chance to prove himself and help (or break) his confidence. Is that what's DJ really want the whole time? An opportunity? I don't blame Vinny or DJ for this one.

Are you kidding?

We just took them to within 2 seconds of losing for the second time in their own gym and didn't get a questionable call.

I agree with you on that. Anyone that rips VDN for not playing DJ need only watch this game.

Stop acting like the calls and no calls in the last minute have no effect on the outcome. Been a Clipper fan for too long, seen us lose too many games to teams with superstars because of preferential treatment, it's BS

How about you stop acting like verything revolves around the officiating. We blew this game.

Man, I can't believe the refs screwed us again? I would say almost half the losses are cause of refs. And the other losses we just sucked those games.

I cannot believe we lost yet another close game. It feels like we lose every time it comes down to the wire for the past months. This one sucks, we could have stole one.

Played well overall. DJ killed us again with his embarrassing FT shooting, bad defense, and stupid turnovers. His terrible play kills us so often, even though Lamar is no prize DJ is just such a liability much of the time.

Vinny should have let CP run down with the ball when Parker was hurt. Could have called that timeout 10 seconds later if we didn't get an easy one right away. Quick trigger right there.

But again, we did get screwed by the refs. Obvious foul on that last play and a number of other ones throughout. I don't understand why we don't get that homecourt bias at Staples.

Tough loss but that's the best team in the NBA and we were right there. No moral victories but at least it was very solid effort overall.

Guys, if you want to be a championship caliber team, then act like a championship caliber fans and stop bitching about refs. Yes, we don't get calls and sometimes we do get calls. Same thing with other teams. And usually, they dont really call on the last plays, (hint, LAL- ATL game, see Kobe's Ref didn't call anything on last play)

^They called a phantom foul/flop on Blake Griffin on the game winning shot against Dallas. That cost us the game!!!

It's tough. When the Spurs play well they are SO hard to beat. There's always someone streaking to the basket when one person is stopped. They say it's a well oiled machine and it's true. I honestly don't know how a team can beat them when they play like this. When Parker and Duncan are both hitting. That's how they were in the first two rounds of last year's playoffs.

Problem is, at some point the shots will stop falling. A team just has to hope it happens against them. That's pretty much what happened against OKC. The Spurs just didn't hit the same shots against OKC like they did against us.

Why are we 4th behind Denver?

I know they own the tiebreaker, but we lead our division. That's supposed to be the 1st tiebreaker, isn't it?

Edit: Scratch that. NBA.com has us still in 3rd. FoxSports is wrong.

We are tied with Denver in the loss column, but they have 1 extra win then us.

We haven't really learned anything new about this team. They are simply a good team but not great and their peak is probably a 6 or 7 game series loss in the second round. Quote me on it.

So from now to the end of the season, we just have to match Denver and Memphis with the losses. We have the tie break over both teams.

Game was neck and neck. Too identical situations went down, they got the call, we didn't. Very hypocritical by the refs. Simple as that.

Cleepers btw regular season head to head statistically is not always a good predicator of playoff success...the difference between the spurs and the clippers when healthy is that the spurs have an identity and a system that they run very well...what is the clippers identity? Based on what we've seen in crunch time cp3 on five is not going to win us close games. Bg looks like a fawn in crunch time even sans injury his numbers in the clutch are not very good. I realize I'm rambling but I hope you get my point

It will be hard but I think we can. There probably will be a lot of close games and it will come down to the wire. There could always be injuries, maybe we will get better luck with calls, etc. You never know. That's why we play the game. If it was known already, then we might as well call it a season already.

I never said don't adress this teams issues, if anything I welcome that.

how'd we blow the game. we fought hard, played it like a tough playoff game. they starting getting ahead of us, and we make a comeback and TAKE THE LEAD with 35 seconds left. blake got hacked, should have been 2 free throws, no foul. duncan got fouled, fine call that only IF you're gonna call our fouls. cp3 takes game winner, fouled no call. We played with heart against the spurs at san antonio and had the game won. THIS TIME i can blame it on the refs.

Against dallas, we blew it when we had a 3 pt lead and shot 3's for 2 straight minutes. Then blake makes game winner and they call ofensive foul (bs). THAT GAME, it shouldn't have got to that point. that one we blew before the refs screwed us over.

Cleepers when's the last time the clippers beat an elite team? Yeah the clippers won at the beginning of the year but it's not how you start it's how you finish. Based on results there a few teams in the west better than the clippers right now..did you forget us losing to the thunder at home when we knew we absolutely had to have that game? Did you forget our absolute destruction to the hand of the spurs at home? The grizzlies? We haven't won a statement game since last year so yeah I am looking at actual results sir. I absolutely love how every loss lately is the refs fault. A great team finds a way to win.

We blew our chances of stealing the game. That's what I meant. We had 3 chances to seal the deal.

1) Failed to get the dagger after making the free throw

2) Failed to get a stop with 6 seconds remaining.

3) Failed to at least tie the game at the end.

Okay, #3 was really a 50-50 situation, but 1 and 2 were really backbreakers.

@clipper321, you are really going to overlook how the clips have been blatantly screwed by the refs? smh. A great team finds a way to win" ok, who is a great team: miami ( refs in their pocket), okc (refs in their pocket), memphis (refs in their pocket. their "physical play" is bs. they foul a lot and get away with it) san antonio ( refs in their pocket), Flakers ( refs in their pocket) boston ( refs in their pocket). coincidence, i think not. the Nba should come out and say, we want okc vs miami again in the finals. aside from the spurs beating our asses at home, we destroyed them here, beat them in san antonio: easily should have won tonight, but it was clear that the spurs needed all the help they can get to pull it out. same thing happened wednesday versus the nuggets. you also talk about, we havent won a statement game. if i recall correctly, we beat the pacers in indy. its easy to support your argument by leaving some facts out.

Miami, OKC, Memphis, and San Antonio have the refs in their pocket? How can this be proved or disproved? Calls are missed for both teams all the time.

duncan clearly got away with a traveling violation to get green up in the air. he dragged the pivot foot. smh. on top of that, he gets the foul called in his favor, but cp3 gets grabbed going up for the shot and nothing is called. smh

It doesn't matter. But when I hear people hating on my team because of regular season results, I think it's only fair to point out that we have matched up VERY well with the leading W/C team.

I guess we'll see how it plays out in April, May and June.

Either you want the team to be successful, or you want to be right ("quote me on it"). I'm not sure which would make you happier.

Repped High Quality Post

lmao the way you guys are getting on the team like we actually played bad. Our defense was good, we guarded the 3 nicely. we had the lead. we had a 2 point lead with 35 seconds left. we gave up a tim duncan layup. okay, happens. then, with a 1 point lead after cp3 hitting that 1 free throw, blake ends up with the ball in his hands, being held, throws it up with no call. we go the other way, duncan travels and hits the shot. back on offense for us, we attempt a game winner, where cp3 got fouled but no call. Guess what, those aren't excuses. those are facts, those ACTUALLY happened. they aren't made up things, they actually happened.
