If OKC keeps winning and holds the 1 seed the SOONEST possible time we can face the Spurs is in the WCF. Which at that point would be the perfect stage to prove we CAN indeed beat them. Meaning we will face Memphis and OKC in the first two rounds which we have a good chance of winning IF we keep up this recent intensity and guys step up.

To be honest I'm pretty worried about our first round series. With or without home court, Memphis is going to be a tough out.

In the past, cp3 has been able to have his ways with Westbrook but Westbrook is a whole new animal this season while cp3 regressed. This will be an epic series and a team that I believe we can actually dominate in the paint

Can't take Memphis for granted, though if we beat them Saturday we'd have to be favorites. Personally, I'd prefer to see the Spurs in the second round... OKC gets too much help from the officials. How does the top FT% team get so many attempts when they shoot all those jumpers and don't have a single player who gets hacked on purpose? Shenanigans.

Rather play Spurs in 2nd round.

I rather face the Spurs than the Thunder. Is this a joke? lol

Thunder>Spurs.

The problem is Durant not WB. If all we had to contain was WB we would have no problem. In fact, he contains himself with his stupid shot selection and his pull up jumpers.

So are we a lock to play Memphis again? Or is there a chance we play someone else at all?

I think we match up better with the Thunder than the Spurs despite what our head-to-head match ups say. The only problem is that the refs will be pushing the Thunder to make the Finals.

Actually the only problem is...OKC IS the better team right now, refs or no refs, as are the Spurs. wink

the only chance we play someone else is if Denver loses all of their remaining games lol

and Id rather play the spurs than the thunder as well

thunder is the only team I can think of that we havent beat this yr

Pretty much unless there is a miracle and Denver loses games they should not lose.

I think we matchup better with the Spurs despite (Pop being a way better coach) because Parker and Manu probably won't be 100% so we have a better chance of beating them. Plus, the refs are usually on OKC's side (mainly Durant and Westbrook).

In either case to get to where we want to get to we have to get through Memphis. OKC and the Spurs.. so really doesn't matter which round we play them in... We have to get through any one of them to get to the next round anyway...

Well we can't choice which team we are going to face in the playoff, I just want us to win and move to WCF.

It does matter. Getting to the WCF>being a 2nd round exit. Refs will job us even harder if we face the OKC in the 2nd round. No way will the league let their golden boy Durant lose in the 2nd round.

Stephan Jackson was just waived from Spurs. We have to play them in round 2

The problem is who the heck are the Thunder going to lose to? Blazers, Kings, Bucks? Also the Spurs have a b2b vs Lakers + GSW at home. Not good. Sad

1st, 2nd or 3rd will not matter. Durant will get his calls regardless. Either way the WC goes through them so whatever the round is you have to beat OKC...

Right now you take care of whats on the course, and whether that means we play OKC or SA in the 2nd round wont matter. You get the job done, and i firmly believe this team can beat any team in the league. To me a 1st 2nd or 3rd round defeat is all the same bull crap... You come in with the championship as your goal you either get there or you don't, and to get there you beat any team in front of you..

So in turn depending on what you feel is a accomplished season than yeah it might matter, but at the end of the day wont matter what round we have to play OKC, only realistic view is we have to face them anyway to conquer the west...

bad news if we don't play the spurs in the 2nd round. don't want to face okc unless we really have to in the WCF. i want revenge and i think we match up well with them.

The Spurs are super banged up and limping into playoffs - I'd rather play them than OKC. I don't know why, but I'm feeling ok at the moment about our chances of making it to WCF. I think we will be a tough out in the second round

Gotta get that 3-spot. Hoping that Denver loses on their B2B... tomorrow at home, then Monday in Milwaukee.

HOU then SAS is our best route to the WCF.
