Despite us being mad at how we lost... Game 3 home teams usually win their games. First playoff game home for them and they played their absolute best. We played atrocious yet still kept it close a lot of the game. The key is game 4. If the Clips win that they go home up 3-1 with a chance to close the series. IF they lose... We are in a really bad spot and all the pressure falls on us to close them out. Not to mention the longer the series goes on, the less rest we get before OKC.

I'm really worried about our stars again. Neither was aggressive, neither played desparate or like they were on a mission. CP3 and Blake have their legacy on the line. Fizzing out in their biggest games is NOT a reputation you want. 3rd year stars in other eras were destroying teams the playoffs, not fading.

We could not have played any worse. Our defense was okay... but our offense was horrable. I dont see that kind of funk happening in game 4. I look forward to tomorrow. Plus Chris Paul says he likes early games.... so we'll see.

Never thought we could win the series in 4 or even 5. I expected it to be a grind out 6-7 game series. If the team beat this team in 5, they would have exceeded my expectation

The only person on our team that really seemed to care about that last game, outside of maybe Matt Barnes was Vinny. Vinny was seen screaming and coaching his arse off the entire game. You could tell he was frustrated and the players honestly all looked like they were out all night eating BBQ and partying. Our entire team looked like it just got off a plane from Australia after they were out in the bush with Bear Grylls on a Man VS Wild special.

Of course Vinny cares, his job is on the line. Even more reason his subs should have been better. Bench the guys who didnt look like they give a damn. CP3, DJ and Billups should have been benched most of the game. Let the bench stay in. Hill, Green could have given us a boost.

Survivorman is awesome. In all seriousness though the team looked out of it, right from the get go. I couldn't believe it. It's like if we play games away there's like no intensity at all. They better realize we won't have home court in round 2 if we make it, I doubt the Rockets are going to pull out a miracle.

Lets all be honest here... Chris Paul played like garbo out there... 8 points? 5 turnovers? 4-11 shooting.. 0-2 3's.. the team was also thinking too much.. often overpassing... Butler needs to hit those (wide) open 3's... I mean (wide) open.. Lamar Odom shot from 3 better than Butler... and thats sad.

Matt Barnes shot 1-5 from 3.. but he often had to force up a last second shot due to the overpassing and no dribble penitration.

shots didnt fall, cp had an atrocious game. game three was an anomaly.

while the grizz most definitely deserved the win, this game was more about us losing than them winning.

i remain confident here.

Agreed. We pretty much sucked last night and were still only a couple of bad plays from making it a real game (Bledsoe turnover leading to Pondexter 4 point possession). Odds are that we won't play nearly that bad again, so I still like our chances to win one in Memphis.

Agree. I like our chances also. It's hard to believe the refs could be as one sided for game 4, but I still expect a little favoritism to the griz. I also expect us to play alot better. This means rebounding and shooting better and less turnovers.

Chris Paul must redeem himself for that terrible game last night. To score only 8 points and go scoreless in the 4th quarter is inexcusable. Simply cannot happen again. And Blake needs to step up too, he let Randolph abuse him on the boards.

And no more Chauncey in 4th Quarter please. He is too weak on defense and Memphis will attack him every time he's out there.

After seeing game 3- I'm VERY concerned. You let the Grizz win game 4, they are full of confidence going into game 5.... They win that one- and heck, the Clippers can well lose the series back in Memphis in game 6.

Chauncey going into the game to close in the 4th is very troublesome for me. If we're stubborn and not have Bledsoe in there instead, it could burn us once again. Game 2 we nearly gave away because of it. Game 3- we were down what 5 or 8, and Bledsoe goes out- game over. Every guy out there must have enough foot speed to stay in front of their man, length to contest shots, and quickness to rotate quickly. And Chauncey is just not up to par any more defensively. Unless he is is just on-fire hitting 3's, it's just a huge risk and a detriment to the team for him to have to go up against the the quick Grizzlie guards.

Yeah we shouldn't and must likely wont. Hard for the refs to be any worse also. This is a classic game that could be turned into stern to show rigging.

The thing that puzzles me about the Stern rigging,,if of course there is such a thing,,is that he rigged it for our team to be this good (giving us CP3). If he rigged for us to be this good, why isn't he rigging it for us to win,,or did we get too good, better then he hoped and maybe a year or two too early.

But still,,why would they pander to fracking Memphis,,they are nobody, nothing, a true small market team with no real stars (of course they did give GaFlop that award he doesn't deserve). They are the ones that are supposed to be helped to fail.

We're gonna win this series in 5. CP3 will go for 30 and 15 in game 4 and we finish it out at home.

We gotta win, OKC is ripe for the taking, half their scoring punch just got injured! Same injury that held Griffin out for a month, meniscus tear.

That game was really annoying to watch. Chris just never put his foot on the gas, and Blake started out strong but early foul trouble slowed his roll. The entire team played timid and scared. Despite that, we were still able to stay relatively close.

I hope that the guys realize that they're playing in the "Grindhouse" and they're going to have to Grind out victories as long as they're playing in Memphis. We're still vastly superior to the Grizz, but we have to play with more heart.

Good news is guys seem PISSED about last night. I just saw a picture of Caron from practice and he looks like he's about to MURDER somebody. Then look at this about Chauncey from Dan Woike..

Before I could finish a question about Westbrook, Chauncey Billups cut me off and said "that has nothing to do with this series"

Sounds like a very moody group today. Good, they should be like this after they came out and rolled over to die.

Got a gut feeling this series is going the full 7. Thank God or whom ever for HC. Hope I'm wrong on this.

A must win for various reasons

  1. Cant give memphis any hope whatsoever.

  2. the refs (very unpredictable or bias calls)

  3. Our morale..the team as a whole gets rattled fast. Need to be focused.

  4. REFS (the way game 3 went...it counts as two reasons)

^^Yep- that's why I'm so perturbed about last night's loss- the Grizz got their confidence back. If only if we were tied going into the 4th- the Grizz would have started doubting, and the game could well have been ours.

So yeah it's imperative that we win tomorrow- otherwise it might not even go 7. Grizz win tomorrow, then in LA, and could close out the series back in Memphis in game 6....

Well here's a troubling quote from CP3.

"I don't know," Paul said when asked how he'll be more aggressive. "I've just got to wait and see. I don't ever know what's going to happen before I get into a game."

We are putting the future of our team with an 108 mill a year, 5 year contract in his hands. He needs to stop this wait and see bullshit and say "YES, Of course I'll be more aggressive". He acts like this crap is optional when it's not. Maybe if he didn't have that mindset he would have a trip the conference finals by now.

Yeah he better be aggressive tomorrow! We need that to win. Needs to play like the best player on the floor. But to me it's more important that we don't allow Memphis to have so many offensive rebounds. How many extra points they got from that. Had to be at least 15 extra points. Now that's inexcusable. We should at least match their rebounding numbers.

You say game 4 is the defining moment of the series, I say it is the defining moment in team history. With teams like Denver, GS, Spurs, and now OKC have major injuries it allows us the most perfect of storms to come and make it to the WCF or beyond.

So yes I say it, Biggest game in the Clipper History.
