is that why barkley never won sh**, because he was a frontrunner too? lol. mofo is a dumbs*** "analyst". i agree we need to revamp this roster, but how in the world are we supposed to get rid of DJ if he plays like this.

The odds are still in our favor to win this series. Unfortunately, we've seen two games in a row in which Randolph was aggressive and Gasol is just on fire from mid range. And as long as our starting SG and SF our completely invisible, it's no wonder we've struggled.

Blake and CP3 have their hands full. So I'm very disappointed in Caron. We can't afford for him to miss open jumpers. At what point does Vinny at least think about Hill. This could be his last playoffs, maybe Hill will show us something.

I'm also starting to believe that Blake can't get into any rhythm at the end of games as long as he has only 6 or 7 minutes to work with. I feel like BG needs more time in the 4th, as does CP3.

As I said, our starting SF and SG were invisible. Caron was 0-4 and Billups was 0-6. How are we gonna win like that? Neither of them even went to the FT line. I'm kinda over Billups at this point. He had one good game and even that one he didn't show in the second half. I'm going to say it again....WE ARE A BETTER TEAM WITH WILLIE STARTING!!!

Anyway, those are my random thoughts.

We are still the team that won the season series with these bastards. We need to end this the next 2 games...especially if we get a chance to face a Westbrook-less OKC or an upset minded Houston team in the next round.

When shots fall and we are killing it we are fine but the minute it gets tough and we get punched in the mouth we fold. No heart, this group will NEVER win anything meaningful. We need a couple trades this summer for sure, starting with DJ

Yup. If DJ is on this team by next year.. we are capped at 2nd round at best again. Same goes for Vinny. Unless if by some miracle we get a brilliant coach like let's say Phil Jackson who can get WAY more out of DJ.

I am thinking, VDN has to grow a pair and start Willie on Tuesday. Billups can come in off the bench and play vs their second unit. You sign Grant Hill, time to put his evperience to use, especially if Butler sucking it like he did today.

DJ is just athletic. He can block a shot here and there but he's useless.

Those 2 Bledsoe 3 point attempts late in the 4th??? I mean, if that's not the reason we have Chauncey in the first place, I don't know what is...

...UGH. it's just frustrating.

Vinny never makes the difficult choices. Butler/Barnes/Crawford/Billups all terrible and Green, and Hill STILL cant get time.

I don't think he's useless...for some OTHER team. There are teams out there that could use an athletic big man. And when he gets the ball down low, he's pretty effective with it. But I've said it before...he's not a good fit with Blake's game. I know they're good friends. And I know DJ's been the beneficiary of some nice lobs by Blake. But Blake needs to be the guy benefiting. We need a guy like Gasol who can make defenses pay but hitting mid range jumpers; opening things up for Blake inside.

I'm not saying we need Gasol...just someone LIKE Gasol at center.

Someone like Gasol Yes because he can really pass too! Imagine how many open looks he could get Blake.

Can we please play the next games on ESPN or ABC or something? I'm tired of this TNT b.s...

...speaking of which, how is it TNT has NO contingency plan for when the game before goes into triple overtime? I mean, the national television viewers missed the ENTIRE first half of the game.

Pretty lame TNT.

We need a center who can rebound, most importantly, and that can hit FT's

nice job by the refs to literally kick us out of the game in the entire 2nd half. the fix is on, they want 7 games so it will be more entertaining, and so OKC gets to rest up

Not sure about Hill replacing Butler, but other than that you're spot-on.

Seems like Chauncey is trying to play too much PG, and CP3 just facilitates that. When faced with a choice of leaving Butler or Green open, our opponents usually lose.

We need to keep Billups and Hill as 4th quarter specialists.

Damn Gasol is good. You look at that guy and you think he's too big and lumbering to be able to drive to the basket, yet he can. He has such an effective mid range game that there's no way he can get double figure rebounds, yet he does. He can't possibly be athletic enough to defend the basket, yet he does.

Crazy.

Well, one of a couple of things will happen:

Either we follow along with history and win this series, facing a team we have a very real possibility of beating in the next round. Or...

We have one of the worst meltdowns in NBA history and lose this series, which would no doubt motivate the front office into making a big change.

No need to panic clipper nation. We would have loved to get one in Memphis but we were kidding ourselves. Deep down inside we knew this would be a 6/7 game series, we are just equally good. This is what we worked so hard for HCA, now lets make it count.

Not as good, but we still have a better shot of winning than they do based on home court alone.

It's all about mental fortitude now... which is a bit of a worry.

We still have the advantage with home-court, but they have all the momentum. Our bad execution in game 3 woke them up.

We can still win this in six... IF our heads are in it.

We haven't gotten worse, but Memphis has figured out how to slow us down. They're the best defensive team in the league and it's up to VDN to make adjustment prior to game five. We're in trouble.

The Memphis crowd gave the teddy bears a BIG boost, I've always said that IF we are going to win a game in Memphis it would be game 6. We need to help our guys, if our crowd was half as loud as Memphis I'd be happy. roll

If this was last year I wouldn't have cared if we get eliminated but if we get eliminated in the first round it's gonna sting really bad especially with the news about Westbrook

I had to leave the house when it was what 66-63 Memphis in the 3rd- and I come back to find this horrible result. I don't even know if I want to watch on DVR now. Game 3 was *HUGE*, and the guys blow it. Now game 4 we get blown out. It's very possible now that we lose the series. Memphis has the momentum, and they know how to stop us, where as we're playing like we have forgotten how to beat them.

Looking at the box score, our best players in Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combine for team-worst -21 and -20 in the +/- category. That is just unacceptable. 4 for 21 shooting 3's- unacceptable. 45 to 28 rebounding deficit- laughable, especially after the guys talked about a focusing on keeping the Grizz of the boards.

It's time for the guys to stop "talking" and starting "doing", just like the start of the previous winning streak. No jogging back on defense, no giving up on any play, and 100% effort. Otherwise- it will be a first round exit for the Clippers.

Not much need to comment on this game since the problems were so obvious. Blake needs to be consistently aggressive, he's thinking too much sometimes. But Billups and Caron lost this game for us. So much for that veteran leadership. They choked in a very winnable game and now the pressure is back on us.

DJ a 10million dollar non-factor again as usual but nobody should be surprised by that. Non-factor is his role.

CP3 and the bench did all they could but it's just not enough if the guys that are paid millions to simply make open shots don't make ANY of those shots.

I would love to see Willie start and play all the starters minutes until maybe the 4th if a spark is needed. Maybe try Billups at that point. But he's killing us right now. Both ends of the court. He just sucks. It's a waste of breath because there's no way they'll take Billups out of the rotation but that's our best shot to win games this year.

We will win this series but now we're probably going to have to play 7 games and that could significantly affect our ability to beat OKC and SA going forward.

And I wish Vinny would just use Hollins and not both Turiaf and Hollins. Hollins is bigger, faster and better on-ball defensively. Shouldn't have more than a 10man rotation unless we're going to use Grant Hill in certain situations.

I don't support DJ at this moment. I admit I shouldn't let it get to me so much and lash out but the truth is I don't like DJ. I support the Clippers as a team and every player gets chances from me and DJ's burned too many. I don't have loyalty to specific players really. The ones who play hard and want to be here I'm loyal to. The ones who don't respect the name on their jersey can leave and I won't feel any sadness. Mentally I've turned on DJ the same way I did with Baron Davis if not more. My bitterness towards him as a fan is very fair and I'll explain why.

  1. I was one of his biggest fans in 2010-2011 when he played his ass off every single night trying to steal the starting job from Kaman. The fact that he gets his huge paycheck and the starting job and folds and smiles on the bench and during timeouts like it's a joke enrages me. It's the same reason Lakers fans go off on Dwight.

  2. Seeing that Blake got the same shooting coach and improved his free throw shot 16 percent where as DJ's dropped about 15 percent, pisses me the hell off. Enough with the big hands excuses because a lot of centers in the NBA shoot at least solid where as DJ ranks dead last in the NBA.

  3. We needed him to work on his defense and rebounding fundamentals this summer and instead he works on the least important thing imaginable, his post game. Not sure why in God's name he's worried about his offense when his defense has declined so bad.

  4. His attitude is ATROCIOUS. By far the biggest punk on the team. Gets into it with coaches when he gets benched, gets into it with refs, gets into it with teammates supposedly (beyond TJ Simers report I've seen DJ arguing with teammates). His attitude in general is unstable and he's very easily rattled.

  5. His contract is a main issue for me. We pay him 11 mill a year to play like a guy worth about 4 mill a year. Of course it's hard not to harbor resentment when we could have afford a MUCH better center for that price.

This isn't me turning on DJ because he's simply not playing "good". This is me getting on DJ because he's playing like he doesn't care about winning or doing what this team needs and he's VERY capable of doing so.

Another thing that gives me reason to get on DJ or any other Clippers fan is he straight up vanishes in the games we need him the most. This is the second year in a row where playoff time comes around and his production PLUMMETS to about half of what it was in the regular season (which is subpar as it is). To where he's not even really a good role player in the playoffs but should be the 2nd or 3rd big off the bench. He's averaging 3 ppg, 8 rpg this year in the playoffs and last year averaged 5 and 5 in the playoffs. This is a guy getting 11 mill a year for 2 more full seasons after this one.
