Being reported all over that Grizzlies fans showered our players with beer and food as they left the game. Reported first by Memphis sources. POS douchebags.

Matt Barnes also kicked over a trash can, after that exchange with fans.

Clippers deserve a good beer shower after that second half performance. Maybe that will light a flame under them for next game in LA

Grizzlies fans tried to downplay us winning games 1 & 2 and holding home-court. They do the same and it's as if they won a championship.

Let those rednecks misbehave... sign of a team that is out of their element.

I agree may be a good lesson, for them. If that doesnt make them come out Tuesday and blow Memphis out, followed by Friday in Memphis then nothing will.

If your wife weighed 400lbs. on a good day and your kids have already lost half their teeth, you'd be mad at the world too. They live in the armpit of America. I'm sure it is a very sad existence.

I've been through that state a few times. I'd feel more comfortable in Baghdad. Nothing but dirty hillbilly trailer trash. It's a horror movie waiting to happen. Even during the day, you can run into a perfectly normal 25year old woman or man...And then they open their mouth and there is only one tooth. How does that even happen in a first world country??? In Tennessee it is common no joke. Sick, sick disgusting people.

The guys had plenty of motivation after being punched in the mouth in game 3, but still came out poorly to start the game. Still got crushed on the boards.

At this point the guys need to look themselves in the mirror and find motivation from within, and as a team collectively. Get angry at YOURSELF. Work hard, prepare hard, watch film on how you got beat, and come out with 100% effort + focus on every single play.

Isn't El Paso ragrded as the "safest city" in America? But that's only because extreme tight security is mandatory considering it's right next to the most violent city in the continent.

ZBo is a solid player and I really think he was upset when we traded him. He really enjoyed his time here and I think he's bitter about being moved. As far as tonights performance goes, I hope CP3 leaves this team if we lose in round 1. This is absolutely unacceptable. With the talent on this team, the skills of the players there is NO REASON why we should be tied right now, other than the fact that we are little wussy babies on the road. We will get demolished again if we get to round 2. I'm about fed up with this team right now, they've looked like trash the last 2 games and got lucky in game 2.

Stay Classy,,,,first you have to have class to say that way and that word isn't in their dictionary,,,you know the one dictionary they keep in city hall to look up big words

This week TJ Simers (the guy we love to hate) has been calling it Rathole, Tennessee. I think that gives rats a bad name.

I like Z-Bo. He's a baller. I loved him when he was a Clipper. But as a CLIPPER FAN, I BOO HIS ASS every time he's introduced and touches the ball. All in fun. He's easy to dislike on the court. Plays like a PUNK!

crazy enough, im a big fan of BOTH zbo and gasol.

some of my favorite clippers of all time (harold ellis, bo outlaw, etc.) happen to be hard-working blue collar players.

as for zbo's antics, he's repeatedly says he knows it gets under BG's skin so he's gonna keep going after him.

but yeah, as long as he's wearing a grizz jersey - he's on my S list.

First of all, I think it's horrible that anyone would throw anything at any players. If a couple of grizzly fans in fact did that, they were 100% in the wrong and I would support even banning them from future games.

That said, when you open a thread asking another group of people to stay classy, and then read hate-fueled stereotypes like this...

I'd ask for Clippers fans as a whole to stay classy, but it appears that ship has already sailed. The same type of rubbish was already in another thread originally about what grizzly fans are saying. If the clippers, as a fanbase on this board, are trying to put forth an example of class, they are doing an absolutely horrible job of it.

^^Welcome Grizzknob to Clippers Topbuzz! Fans are gonna be fans and say crap, but when it come to throwing stuff on players, that's taking it way too far. I don't remember any bozos at Staples Center throwing food at Grizzlies players. And if you expect "classy" comments/reactions from that by Clipper fans, then you will be disappointed.

There's a difference between condemning anyone who may have done something like this and calling the entire fanbase (or even the millions of people who live in the area) inbred, with no teeth and no intelligence, and saying that comparing the city to a rathole is an insult to the rats. I mean that much should be obvious.

Clippers fans are classy enough to show you the way back to your own forum where you can join the punks who are wishing injuries on our players...

http://boards.grizzliesonline.com/index ... &st=17

Notice how welcoming they are to the Clippers fans on there, too. So much for that fabled southern hospitality. It's no wonder that actual Grizzlies choose to live in California.

One person said something about hurting your players. Be serious no one actually wants that.

Calm down, its a fun rivalry. Its not supposed to be cordial. I really like what our match ups have become. Two teams that have traditionally sucked coming to rise at the same time. Always is a good, fun physical series.

^ Hey, I'm always up for a little trash-talking, but if grizzknob wants to play message-board cop he should start with his own fanbase. Nobody here is calling for injuries to Grizzlies players and our fans certainly aren't throwing food at them... partly because Randolph's fat-arse would just pick it up and eat it.

Haha, I will never know how Z-Bo is a effective NBA player. I am pretty sure he couldn't clear a quarter. It really is funny watching him against DJ and BG. They are literally on the opposite ned of the spectrum athletically.

I think the bad blood is brewing even more because of TJ Simers. Really don't know what yall think about him, but that has really galvanized the fan base against yall. Obviously he doesn't speak for everyone (just as the 1-2 people who threw something at CP3 don't represent us), but he took some personal shots at the people of Memphis that went beyond sports.

Is there an actual link or something to this incident even? I haven't found anything. Only thing I found was a reference to a growl towel falling on Chris Paul, and then obviously Matt Barnes kicking a trash can over. Are we even sure that people didn't just see food everywhere from the trash can Barnes kicked over and just assume someone had thrown it?

Well luckily its not a contest on who is the "classiest" fanbase and its who has a better basketball team. Either way, I am not sure there is any evidence to support trash being thrown on yall. The reporter flip flopped her story three different times.

true, evidence supporting what happened isnt exactly crystal clear, but reputation doesnt help.

#PointGod after the game:

"I wouldn't let my wife and kid come because of how disrespectful they are here,'' Paul said, after telling a room full of media moments earlier, "I didn't want to come back here by any means.''

That is shocking to me, I have been to countless games and have never noticed anything malicious. There is no love for yalls players though, the crowd just doesn't respect the way they play. But, thats a shame that he feels his wife and kids can't go safely. I wonder what happened.

i agree, pushing people's buttons seems to be his niche.

the truth is that no one associates simers with the clippers AT ALL. i hope people dont get the wrong impression and think he's some LAC beat writer or something along those lines. he has a column in the latimes where he talks trash about all LA sports teams.

I checked out a couple Grizz forums and a few people said they hope those guys got thrown out of the arena and they wanted to apologize for people being idiots.

Thing is, the Grizzlies like our team is full of bang wagon fans now. I'd stake my life that well over half the people that are "Clipper Fans" now know little to nothing in regards to the last few years before the arrival of Griffin and CP3. People get smashed and head to the games and try to be tough guys.

If any one of these people threw anything at our players and it wasn't at a game, they would have gotten the beat down of their lives. Most people are what, like 5'10" on average? Maybe 190lbs? Our smallest guy on the team is bigger than that, not to mention our SF's and C's who are about a foot taller and have 30-70 pounds on these people.

I don't care how much you hate a team, the chance of getting arrested alone should tell you not to do that. If that were Ron Artest, someone would be suing for facial reconstructive surgery because he would have broke their jaw in 50 different spots.

So there was actually no food and trash thrown at the players, right? it was barnes who kicked the can that led to trash flying. So it's safe to say there is embellishment going on. Or at the very least, emotions are getting in the way of the facts. Glad I didn't chime in that thread.

Not that big of a deal if you ask me. The Grizz just copied the Twolves. Take that as a compliment, the Clippers wouldn't invest time on something like that.

grizznob glad to see a better representation of memphis here on this board. I have nothing against memphis or the grizz, but certainly this matchup is very physical and has even crossed the line into dirty/ foul play. It stems primarily from z-bo to be quite honest. Randolph was a clipper and when the clipps got the first draft pick they chose blake griffin, who happens to play the power forward position. I suspect there was some bad blood there when z bo was shipped off to make room for blake. And countlesstimes randolph has cheap shotted blake, so we have developed a certain dislike if you will for randolph in particular and the grizzlies in a more general sense. I dont pretend to believe that we do not have players that at times can do dirtu sh*t like that, we all know barnes has his history of cheap/dirty shots as well. that being said we both have a##hole players and fans that bring it down. Provided you dont troll you are welcome here and i think having other fans here males it interesting. Btw i have been to tennesse and it is a fine state with great people. We are justpasionae fans as are memphis fans that sometimes let emotion get the best of us. glad to have you here, and btw what grizz forum are you on maybe i will join that one too and talk with you there from time to time as well
