Marc Stein wrote it up for ESPN. He tries to gauge the league's reaction by polling teams about Collins's chances of getting picked up for next season. Nothing surprising, but worth a read.

I'd say to skip the comment section if you don't want to be assaulted with hate speech and gay bashing jokes.

Mark Jackson: "As a Christian man I have beliefs of what's right and what's wrong, that being said, I know Jason Collins, I know his family And (I'm) certainly praying for them at this time."

What a classless, hypocritical clown this man is. Not only is he completely intolerant but he is a complete hypocrite. Last time I checked "good Christian men" are not supposed to be extorted by prostitutes.

Truly human waste.

WOW.

i respect his beliefs, but POOR decision on his part to throw his "deep down i know you're sinning" remark out to the public.

especially since he's coaching a team that's located in one of the most liberal, gay-friendly areas in the US.

agreed. sounds like a religious diatribe against homosexuals. maybe stern should fine this mofo for those insensitive and classless comments. why does he have to pray for collins' family? its not a sin if hes gay. jackson is a piece of S***

I have no problem with people disagreeing with a gay lifestyle but disagreeing with a lifestyle and just flat out being disrespectful are two different things entirely.

Not to mention this guy is talking about Christianity when he isn't even faithful with his wife and got extorted by a prostitute which is just flat out embarrassing.

If you are going to use the religion excuse then at least follow your own belief system. Otherwise you have no credibility. No one should listen to someone who doesn't even do what they preach.

^agreed. its disgusting. its just as bad as the 49ers player who bashed homosexuals, considering that SF is known for their gay community. smh

best reaction comes to us by Metta World Peace:

"Whether it's a free country or not, you should be free to act as you want to do as long as it's not violent. No matter what it is. I came here in a Cookie Monster shirt because I wanted to, and I was going to wear the pants. But I thought you guys were going to judge me. I was going to wear the hat too. But I thought you guys would judge me. I didn't want Mitch [Kupchak] to judge me. So that's why I didn't wear the hats and the pants. But I should've wore it. You should be free to do and act how you want to act."

LOL

MWP was talking about the god damn Cookie Monster and his statement made more sense than Broussard or Jackson.

**** Broussard and Mark Jackson. I respect everyone's right to believe whatever they want, but they shouldn't force their beliefs upon others. Furthermore, science is beginning to bring more validity to the fact that Homosexuality is a biological disorder just as there are many other biological disorders.

Totally agree, 'flopter.

Any guy who has promised his wife and his god that he will be faithful, then gets caught sticking his d!ck in a stripper forfeits the right to tell anyone else where they should stick theirs.

Ekker makes a good point about him not being quite so "principled" when taking all those San Francisco dollars, too.

The man is scum.

Mark Jackson was asked his opinion and he gave it. When did honesty become a bad thing?

^ well we are also giving an honest opinion of the hypocritical scumbag jackson is. facts speak for themselves. hes an adulterer and a dumbass who got extorted by a stripper. he should not cast judgment on anyone. maybe he should pray to become a less hypocritical mofo. organized religion is something i despise, particularly due to the fact there is a strong sense of hypocrisy from those who call themselves righteous.

I could care less about Collins is sexual orientation. He has always been a garbage player. That half a year he was here in LA proved so.

That was Jarron Collins, his twin brother.

To be fair both are incredibly mediocre players.

Yeah. But to Jarron, it matters since he probably doesn't want people to confuse him with his brother. I mean, he does support his brother, but it'd be awkward if people just walk up to him to congratulate him when he is a straight man. lol
