Game 6 in Memphis: The Clippers = 2008-2010 Cavaliers with a 6-foot LeBron James. We are so fucked.

David I hope you're correct. It's really hard to have any belief of us doing it. We were awful in Memphis this series. And we showed no signs of slowing down Memphis inside in our last 3 games.

Wishful thinking.Basketball wise, we have no answer inside, even with Blake on the floor, now imagine the punishment in game 6 without him. It's going to require LIGHTS OUT shooting and I wouldn't put my money on Butler/Billups/Crawford/Bledsoe getting that done.

Not impossible though, there is still hope. Props to CP3 for coming out firing today. Great performance.

Obviously their "team"is better than ours when we only have one starter in double figures and their starters for the second game in a row score at least 87 points. Hard headed coaches don't adjust and if VDN doesn't on Friday, either he or CP3 are gone this summer. ...or both.

You would think that no 1 person can stop him so you would send a double or zone or something. But no adjustment made #VINNYPHILOSOPHY

when we hire SVG and resign paul and barnes, you won't be mad anymore lol

That would be nice but no matter how you look at it thats another year wasted. VDN should have never gotten another chance to begin with. He and Scott Brooks are mediocre coaches that win off talent alone. VDN makes Mike Brown look good.

What a heart breaking loss. It was a 1 man show tonight, Only CP showed up, and he showed up big time. Just wish we had more production from everyone else considering Blake got hurt.

Clipps in 7. Stay positive ClipperNation.

I'm pretty sure your whole summer won't be ruined. You'll get over it by this time next week at the latest

Yeah I was over exaggerating but it will be longer than next week for sure.

we can't win playing strictly outside, it doesnt matter if our bigz suck you still have to run plays for them inside let them yuk up the game backing Zach and Gasol down and drawing some fouls and confusing them, we can't keep looking for outside shots they know that all we are doing

Nothing to be ashamed of. Heat can't win without Wade (probably), Thunder can't without Westbrook, Spurs can't without Parker/Ginobili, we can't without Griffin. Injuries happen, just terribly bad luck.

I did wonder about that. I know doubling Gasol is risky because he's such a good passer, but we didn't even force Randolph to try...meanwhile they actually TRIPLED a hobbling Blake Griffin!!!

Speaking of which, how does one of our star players get injured in practice?

Repped High Quality Post

I knew VDN would waste the season. It's sad to watch this talent fail. What a Sad thing to watch. Vinny is wasting the talent! F......... Vinny and the person who hired him. I love this team and hate watching them play because of a coach who has no business coaching. Yes and I don't care if he wins the series or takes us to the finals. Vinny Sucks and this team deserves a better coach. It has been truly disappointing watching this team play. I never understood Vinny supporters. Charles Barkely is correct in the way he describes the Clippers. Even Ralph and Mike did understand not double teaming Zack or Gasol. Watching one on one basketball in the NBA for the entire game is disgusting!! Fire Vinny! If they don't I don't see CP3 resigning with us. DTS needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Do not bring the Vinny the idiot back. Disgusting!!!!

I had a bad feeling about today all day, now that its over I feel relieved, sad but relieved and I have a good feeling for Friday. The same thing happened last year, I went to game 6 and I had a bad feeling and we lost, then come Sunday morning game 7 I all but knew we had it. Not saying anything for a possible game 7 but I feel really good about Friday.

Agree Bynum could be the answer...he sat out all year due to injury...the problem is think about all the money some some numbskull gave DJ that we are stuck with paying, no matter who else we sign

Bryan I wish I could be positive. I know in 1 game anything can happen. Last year we won game 7 in Memphis but we at least won there in game 1. This year we showed no signs of winning there in this series. Plus we probably won't have Blake.

I'm praying I'm wrong and you're right, but it's probably over.

Disgusting performance.

How are you going to let fat-arse Randolph grab every loose ball?

I remember after game 3 I was just so disappointed w/ the way the guys played, that I thought that this was a possibility. But man it's surreal that it's coming to fruition. Grizz got confidence after game 3, then they won 4th quarter of game 4, giving them full of confidence and fresh memory on how to beat us. Which they did in game 5 on our floor. Now, it's the Clippers turn to fight back as they are now pushed to the very brink.

Once again, the offensive rebounds killed us. It's CRAZY despite how much focus the team put into doing better keeping the Grizz off the offensive boards, that they still got a sh*tload of putbacks. Worked so hard to get a miss, but then Zach or Tony Allen would come in for an easy putback.

I hoped that Chauncey and Caron would step up- they didn't, at least not for the entire game. Blake with just the unlucky injury really hurt us. DJ- solid effort but you wished that he had 1 few turnover and 1 extra bucket. CP played his heart out, but you wished he made a couple more hoops. Same goes for Jamal and the rest of the bench. I just wanted something even more than what everyone gave- they gave great effort, but just not quite enough execution.

But no way serious is over. Time to bounce back even harder, and execute even better.

Best Clipper roster ever assembled wsted by Vinny. What's worse is we are as healthy as any team is for once. So pretty much zero excuse.

Remember though guys... Firing Vinny is half the battle. Sterling has NEVER paid big bucks for a great coach in 29 years. Hoping he does though.

It's really frustrating watching DJ get dominated like that. With his wingspan, DJ is practically a 7-footer...and a solid one at that. It's not like he's a bean pole out there. So for him to get pushed around is hard to watch.

The winner of this series now has an easier path to the finals, and the way the Grizzlies bigs have played, I will put my money on them if we can't steal the next two games. Shame that Griffin comes up lame in the first round of the past two years. I hope he didn't get that high ankle sprain trying to dunk in practice...

MAYBE a new coach will be able to teach Blake and DJ basic basketball. MAYBE

With or without Blake, game 6 will be tough. Hopefully the Clips give it their all and play their hearts out instead of just showing up and getting run out the building. I expect CP3 to pick up where he left off, we need a few others to step up and have big games. You have to give the Memphis defense credit for letting CP3 get his and pretty much shutting everyone else down.

Can't blame Vinny entirely. Front office gets half the blame. Standing pat at the deadline was a bad, bad move. Aren't the playoffs the sole reason why we hung on to Chauncy for so long? Where you at Billups?

You mean as a big man coach right? No way do I want him as a coach.

SVG would be sweet. Would be nice if we could get Gortat. He is a very solid Center.

Memphis is a team that scores 91ppg... and that's in the regular season, before the game "slows down" for the playoffs.

Our defense has been atrocious for the last 3 games and our defense is the only reason we have scored 101ppg this season.

grizzles punked us bad this series. they completely exposed us. i learned a lot from this series. i learned that maybe we do need those dunks and highlight plays in order to win, blake griffin has NO offensive game and clearly no defense healthy or not, DJ is DJ always will be trash, only way jamal can succeed is with iso plays, and vinny is a moron. after how many games will it take for him to understand that we need to double atleast one of their bigs. i wouldnt want to double marc because he's a smart player that can pass out of double teams but god dam i'd be doubling zach after game 1. im not counting us out for game 6 because we all did last year and we ended up stealing one but the clippers need to change a lot of things in order to win game 6 at memphis. i really hope blake doesn't play on friday because he's only going to hurt us. please chris paul, save our playoff hopes!
