Horford, Chandler, Sanders and Drummond aren't going anywhere.

No to Birdman and Stoudemire. Gortat and Verajao I can see as a more realistic option. Nene seems intriguing as well.

Pretty much. Willie should start. He hustles more, moves without the ball, more athletic to stop Tony Allen from scoring and getting offensive rebounding, more consistent shooter. That is a coaching mistake.

When you analyze todays game, it was the 2nd quarter where the Grizzlies won the game. They pulled away with a 6 point lead and basically maintained it the rest of the game. Clippers played the 2nd half even (not counting the intentional foul free throws Memphis got at the end). There were several shady calls the refs made on touch fouls against the Clippers in the 2nd quarter and that ultimately was the difference in the game (3 of those points were subjective 3 second violations). I'm hoping that the NBA will want to see game 7 in this series and manipulate it so the Clippers win game 6. Hell, they don't even need to do anything except finally calling Memphis on their goon style defense and stop calling Clippers on every ticky tack foul. If refs call the game even, I don't see why Clippers can't win the next one in Memphis.

Andy Verajao is the man you're looking for.

Too much money and too injury prone. I'd say Robin Lopez. A lot cheaper and could be very effective with starters minutes.

btw, we win game 6 and we're back to having the advantage. as memphis fans said last year "see you sunday".

it may look bleak considering the circumstances and blakes injury, but this one aint over in the least bit.

I retract my statement regarding Varjao. He's a great rebounder and his contract isnt as bad as I thought.

Jamal needs a 25 point game. Need 15+ from Butler. and Need 18-22 points from the SG position.

Anderson Verajao was on pace to becoming the best C this season before he had a fluke illness. Can you imagine 14ppg 14rpg 2bpg 3apg and not a single play called for him. He's worth the risk, trust me

With Chancey experience and playoff knowledge, he should be smart enough to take himself out of the starting line up and be patient and prepared to come in just as Ghill is doing. It would be shame to get to playoffs and then do not get a chance to play....Hill should get some burn in the place of Barnes or Butler while the game is tight on Friday...his smarts could make the difference.

I must gotta give props to Griffin. beside that BS technical foul, Griffin fought hard despite injury. I hope vinny make a renew focus on defensive rebounding.

The Pistons would more than likely rather burn the state of Michigan to the ground and challenge the US Military to a war than get rid of Durmmond. He's going to be a superstar at Center and they know it. He's also the best player on that team by about 50 miles.

Agree, Drummond is the cornerstone that they are building their future on...He will still be in Detroit for the next 6 years... They maybe willing to part with Greg "moose" Monroe, but would have to take Crawford, Bledsoe and Hollins from the Clips if the salaries match up.....but he isn't going anywhere either

That's the problem, they wouldn't be stupid enough to take our fake Center and they don't need a PG. I guess just pray they draft Noel and maybe they will just want role players like Butler and draft picks.

They have a lot of draft picks this year. Varejao and CJ Miles for DJ?

Well we have a player similar to Foye, Willie Green. I miss Nick Young also. He was 17-33 in 3's in last year's playoffs.

I'd give anything for a gasol/zac type player, right now we don't even have one, these 2 are bringing their A game

Sacrilige. I've always believed this but I've been afraid to say it because I'd get castrigated (castigated + castrated) I'd trade BG for Zbo in a heartbeat, We screwed up trading a 20/10 guy who shoots almost 80% ft. CP and Zbo?. They gave CP his and shut down every other Clipper MF out there.

If VDN can solve this problem we'll win. We cannot beat them in the half court. Chauncey like Hill are in need of a wheel chair. We got screwed because if they had not been injured we'd be looking at the finals.

We actually have been beaten three games. #2 was a prayer after blowing a huge lead. Barkley is right. We need a guy who can get points when he chooses. This year it ain't Blake. Zbo can.

With some thought I give us 50-50 next game. Memphis is the only team that might beet Miami

The biggest difference this year is the lack of a real tough, dirty player like Reggie out there. We have a bunch of soft bigs, who can't play **** - Odom is done for me, DJ has to go as soon as possible and Blake is having the typical post-money season where you just seem to try and not get your career ended before you get that check. We do not have a real SG and a starting SF. The team is deep, but not tough! If they go to Memphis and hit them hard, we can still win it!

Odom? Odom is our best defensive big by far and actually grabs boards. If we can sign him for cheap I definitely want him back especially if he gets his stroke back.

Refs were absolutely atrocious last night. I've never seen a game either in person or on TV where the crowd was moved to chant "ref you suck" in the first minute. They T Blake up for a play that happens every time down the court for Memphis. I'm sitting near the basket where the Clips shot in the 2nd half. Our guys were getting mugged on almost every shot. Almost never a whistle. Just sad that the refs decide the game so often in the NBA.

But we have a bunch of guys on our team with no guts and/or no brains. Our bigs gave them 5 points in the 2nd quarter and I'm pretty sure it was all Hollins. 3 defensive 3-sec calls and throwing the outlet directly to the defense which turned into two more FT's. That was a killer and we never got even with them after that 5 minute span.

Billups is a joke, props to Vinny for realizing what a terrible detriment he is and only giving him 12mins last night. But still, all the minutes have to go to Jamal, Barnes, and Bled. Can't help but wonder how we'd be looking if Billups would have just stayed hurt so we could use the normal starting lineup that we've had most of the year. Willie doesn't constantly get beat by guys who are well known as terrible offensive players and he can at least get us some points in a fluid offense. It would take big balls and I don't think he has them, but I'd love to see Willie start and play all the starter minutes in game6.

All things considered, season is not over yet. Even if Blake doesn't play, we can win Game6. Everybody including me walked out of there last night like it was a funeral and the season was over. We still have one more game in Memphis. If everybody on this team not named CP3 decides to nut up and be men, we can surely beat a team like them without Blake.

One thing that was actually pretty funny by Memphis was Tony Allen when he was on the bench. 3 different times when Zach scored he'd get off his seat, come over to our section and do a big WWF flex. Most of us couldn't help but laugh because it really was pretty funny and it wasn't really a d!ck move (like if Zach would have done it himself), more just having fun. He'd go and sit down and act like come on everybody calm down and crack a smile.

I was just sitting there thinking I wish we could trade Billups for him right now.

Considering how poorly Chauncey played, I get it...however, I seem to remember Foye was guilty of some really stupid turnovers in last year's playoffs. Besides, if I miss anyone from last years playoffs, it's Nick Young. He had a lot to do with the wins from Game 1 and 7.

Willie Green would definitely have fulfilled the Foye role though and probably would have been better. Fewer turnovers, defense about the same and a more consistent shooter. I guess what I'm saying is I miss Willie Green. Sad

Vinny could try to put him in now, but it's too little too late.

Yep- to me Tony Allen has been the been the X-factor thus far. He is playing great D as usual, hit some big shots earlier in the series against us, and is rebounding like a power forward. He reminds me of an even better version of Quinton Ross who was big for us in 2006.

100% agree. Everyone is talking about ZBo and Gasol dominating inside. That is true, but Tony Allen grabbed 5 offensive rebounds yesterday. He always gets timely rebounds and put backs. Plus he's slowed down Jamal and Chauncey in this series. Very underrated. I don't like him cause he's dirty but he's impacted the series more then most people give him credit for.

It's not just Allen grabbing boards. The thing about Memphis is there's always that third guy who comes in an grabs the board when our bigs our tying up theirs. I've seen Allen do it and also Prince.

Caron CAN do it, and he did that nicely in Game 1...but he just doesn't do it consistently. The best rebounding teams don't just rely on their big men to grab rebounds. They do it as a team.

When Chuck said our team has the mental toughness of a flea, I actually felt he was being too kind. Last year's second unit didn't look as good on paper but they didn't quit, I sure wish at times like this we had guys like Reggie back.

Long time fan, first time writing. Clippers can win but must do the following:

  1. If Blake can play 25 minutes, and be 75%, start him at center. Gasol is slow, and hopefully Blake can do well denying him position. If Blake cannot play, start Odom.

  2. Replace Jordan with Grant Hill. Let Grant guard Zach. Yes, he will be overpowered a few times, but Grant can do a good job denying him position. Grant will be able to facilitate and open up the floor for Caron or Matt Barnes. This could also be his swan song, and the ref's will give him the calls.

  3. Start Bledsoe with CP3. With Jordan out, the floor will open up for him to penetrate and challenge the slow footed bigs.

  4. Jordan then plays with the second string. Play him the second quarter when Memphis bigs are sitting down or winded. Hopefully a fire will be lit and he will play with passion and even be able to catch the ball and a rebound.

  5. Billups plays point with the second string. He must be the maestro.

  6. Do this, and the Clippers will have a great chance to win, even without Blake tomorrow night.

i would love this. Also i would love to know how is it that gasol can get away with so much crap. he Talks and complains all the time. everyplay.

Blake gently pushed his hand away and got Td up. gasol threw a shoulder at paul after a whistle and got...nothing. wtf??

He also hit blake a couple of times when blake was going for a shot. Nothig. blake got all ball on one of his shot and a quick foul.

What's new? That's why I won't feel bad at all for Memphis fans if the refs miraculously favor us in game 6. Game 4 was a joke. If there is a game 7 though, the refs should be equal.
