Well- the guys battled, and they gave it their all. That's all you could pretty much ask for. Some guys showed up, but some guys just could not perform to expectations despite their best intentions. GREAT games by Matt Barnes and CP3 especially. They gave every ounce of their energy and soul out there. Courageous effort by Blake as well- to battle through the pain and push yourself like that- unbelievable.

Fittingly poor performances by Chauncey Billups and DeAndre Jordan- their play tonight pretty much summed up how they did for the series. And shocking how Jamal had zero point tonight. Great performance by Tony Allen once again- guy just absolutely destroyed us the entire series. Despite what he had already done in previous games, nobody could box him out. Can we get THAT GUY on OUR team?

Vinny Del Negro pulled out all the stops- Willie was in there, and Grant was in there- and both did well. Different defensive strategies were tried, but credit Memphis as they hit some huge shots. Every time the Clippers had some life, they would just bury a 3 to keep their distance. I just still do not understand the decision to go with Chauncey Billups in 4th quarter over Jamal Crawford or Eric Bledsoe tonight. I can't bring myself to wish the Grizzlies any sort of luck. I just can't stand Zach Randolph- hope he gets suspended for all his friggin' antics.

It was a great season- one that broke so many Clipper records, and the players and staff did a good job overall. Just not quite good enough to make it into the second round this year. Changes will be made, and it will be exciting to see how the team improves itself!

The one thing I never understood is why Clippers wait all these time to game 6 to finally show some fight. CP3 was right, it was too late by then.

I still cant stomach the fact that zbo was not tossed after the choke on Bg. or the fact that billups killed our momentum. or the fact that vinny stuck with him. or the fact that dj was non existent.

Regardless. season over. dream over. Now the waiting game begins. will cp stay? Who will be the coach?? who does cp want as a coach?? and so many more questions....

Relax Pok, your life isn't over.. well maybe it is, but hey at least you and all those other kids got their candy now.. VDN failed..

It's quite obv. he didn't get it done and needs to go, but i find it very amusing how personal some of you guys take all of this. Straight trolling this ish with VDN rants all day, bring on the next coach so everybody has somebody new to have a vendetta on.. Same old story with every coach anyway.

i need to hear these words man, before i snap and beat down those talking s*** about the clips. im pissed because i agree with the refs having had a huge role in the clips loss. if i ever see joey crawford on the street, im breaking his face with a punch. im very upset, but trying to remain calm. and i agree, the best is yet to come. this team will have two stars to build around. wishing sterling says "f*** the luxury tax" and spends to add more talent to this roster.

Agree with both of you guys. We were beaten by Memphis and they deserve credit for beating us 4 in a row, but the refs had a huge impact in the whole series and were mostly against us. I'm super disappointed and frustrated but the best is yet to come if we make the right moves and cp3 resigns. Easier said than done but let's believe that our front office will get it done. Try to stay positive everyone! Clippernation stay strong!

What did he go for 27 and 10 today? 27 foul calls and 10 technicals vs Clippers. Double double for the night. He only had one ejection vs the Clippers, but it was a huge one...CP3. Probably one of the greatest individual performances by a ref that I've ever seen. I hope Memphis honored him with the game ball in the locker room after the game.
He's definitely a hall of famer.

Agree. He definitely earned it.

Vinny = looks like a good college coach candidate. He has great communication and people skills, this will help with recruiting. His flaws as a technical coach can be masked at that level as well. He can follow in the footsteps of other great Italian-American college coaches.

it's our fault though sterling only brought this guy in because at the time he was still getting paid by Chicago after one season with us it was clear that he wasn't the right coach and especially more so now there's no way that a squad with this amount of talent should have finished with anything less then Western Conference appearance. Now we see that Vinny's opponents were right he's not the guy that should be coaching this team. But the fortunes of this team are not going to get better by just a coaching switch . We need to also let go of Chancey, Butler, and DJ and those spots need to be replaced with people that can shoot

After all, Jason Collins made it a lot easier for you.

  1. Nice cheap shot at Jason Collins.

  2. Let Vinny Go. Great guy. Average coach. Would probably be a great college coach.

  3. Stop defending mediocrity. Demand a high standard. We wasted a golden opportunity to get to the Western Conf. Finals. Laker fans lose in the first round and want D'antoni's head. We lose in the first round and vent on Vinny and you get sensitive.

  4. Admit when you're wrong. Even 1% wrong. It builds credibility for your future arguments.

  5. I will admit, I went overboard on the posts last night at 2am. Do you know why? I went to games all year long. Came home, wife and kids are asleep. I drank. I posted. I vented on a message board with fellow Clipper fans on what I thought was the #1 reason why we wasted two years of going deep in the playoffs. Is this a crime?

I apologize to Cleepers and Clipper Joe for going overboard.

  1. Separate issue. I still think Cleepers and Clipper Joe are in love with Vinny and finally need to let it go.

  2. DJ needs to go.

  3. Chauncey, great career. Time to hang it up.

  4. Re-sign Barnes

  5. Need to sign tougher big men. Should have NEVER let Reggie Evans go.

More to come. Gotta run.

CLIPPER NATION FOR LIFE.

I thought so too. But, if you look at the replay, Griffin clamps Zbos arm and falls backwards trying to draw the foul, then, he elbows randolph in the head.

If you ask me, I'm tired of the rest of the country knowing us as "flop city". This is a perfect example of instead of playing tough, Griffin goes for the dramatics, whines, and loses all credibility.

The flopping needs to stop. The team needs to learn how to be tough and win straight up. IMO.

Youtube the replay, you'll agree.. It's sickening.

Well if you are a Grizzlies fan, just admit- it's okay. No need for pretenses. I don't think a Clipper fan would, on their first post after a tough series defeat, argue that Blake Griffin was the instigator in that rubbish.

Unless you are trolling, then you're welcome here to talk basketball. Great job by your team BTW.

I'm not. I was thinking the same thing-- that zbo should be suspended. Look at the youtube clip though, I don't think he will get punished after seeing it from the other angles.

You'd be surprised at how many Cali "transplants" are in Middle TN now.

If we can keep paul, there's no reason this team can't keep being competitive.

Other teams are getting old in the west (SA, and randolph isn't that young)

OKC and denver will still be in the mix.

Grizzlies you brought it and performed like champs.Good luck. Zbo I love you. You are the only team that can beat the Heat Go Griz. You will find out how our anus tastes next yr.

The reason he put Chauncey in makes sense. Chauncey COULD shoot a dangerous pull up 3 pointer which Willie can't, he can draw fouls and shoots 90% from the line. He creates his own shot and COULD create for others. CB before the injury would have iced it for us. It was a gamble and VDN lost. With a Grant Hill 100% and CB 100% the WCF would have been a lock CLIPPER LUCK

BG's game will improve. Even Barkley said he gan be one of the greatest. His FT% is high 70%. His ball handling will improve over the summer till he can dribble like a guard and he will have a jump shot. PERIOD. He could be in the running for MVP Any bets?

btw I named my dear departed dog (RIP) Halford Barkley.. Rob Halford was the lead singer of Judas Priest. They always had their mouths open screaming and made as much sense as "WOOF"

CB will retire. When the ref's stop your momentum with BS fouls it's hard to keep things going. Without the refs screwing us we would have been #3 and if any of you have followed my posts over the years which you SHOULD HAVE and taken notes I never complain about the refs

Having a squad that is too deep is like having pockets that are too deep. We could adjust for multiple match ups. I love it.

BG was often tripled in the post like a 17 year old in a prison. Why didn't we do that. Why had Roni and Hollins to draw fouls.

Bledsoe didn't show up because he didn't get enough minutes to get into a groove. Not his fault. Sorry Jamal but you were getting punked on defense but a good coach would have found ways to get you points. Nash sucks on defense.

As far as an athletic center that would be great - Tyson Chandler. The problem with DJ is that he has balls as big as lima beans. He has the ability to be freat but lacks the testosterone. Why is he never hurt? You can figure it out. Cleepers your are being generous. He's not worth a pair of the Spirit's used panties. I wish we could trade him to China for an order os MuShu pork In days of youe it wouldn't have been a problem. We get a good center and go over the cap but the new rules make it $$$ Is Varajao a FA? How much over the cap will we be after we dump LO and Butler?

I would re sign LO only if he shows ua a post game, otherwise maybe Vet Min. Bledsoe will never get minutes in a crunch Unless we start him as SG let him go. He will never be a great PG. Previous post use Wayans??

Roni is a steal. Turcoglu (sp) for DJ and EB. I'd take it. Is Rachard Lewis available?

Our problems: Hill and CB were no shows and VDN can't make lemonaid out of lemons. Our shooters are streaky and unreliable

What happens when LAL amnesties Pau? His $20Mill will go down to $10 easily.Maybe $8 Mil He's perfect.

Gasol He can shoot and open the floor

BG ??? Willie CP

DJ or Hollins or somebody meas, I hate it that brad Miller is old

Odom???

Barnes

Crawford plus ?? a bigger sg, alternatily swing man

Waysans A summer with CP3 will do it

Alternatively start Matt

Sloane is pushing 70 but Reagan was ???

FORGET D12. He won't play second fiddle to Kobe. He won't play second fiddle to CP3

For those of you not blaming refs for couple of loses here is a big play

bg and randolph to floor. game 6. granted we are down its a big play. doesnt matter who or how they got to floor. randolph CHOCKED GRIFFIN. thats an automatic toss of game. couple possesions later zach gets a 3pt play and grizz increase their lead. Tell me randolph didnt play a big part after that.

Game 5 (i believe) griffin clearly takes a charge on marc but refs lets it go. marc would have been in foul trouble. instead he goes and has an impact on game. Same game griffin gets a T for pushing marcs hand out of way. Later in game after whistle marc throws paul w a shoulder and refs let it go.

I will say I'm damn tired of seeing Randolph tackle Blake and somehow it's a double foul. I remember last regular season game in Memphis, Randolph does just that. He bear hugs blake, throwing both he and Blake down on the ground. Double foul! Oh but it's not just Memphis. Remember the Ibaka groin smack? How the hell is that NOT a Flagrant 2? I mean they even reviewed the tape and STILL came up with Flagrant 1. Then, when the NBA get it right AFTER the fact, they still don't suspend the dude.

Apparently Blake did something atrocious to the officiating community. Even if they don't like his attitude it's no excuse for that crap.

I think we had a great chance vs okc. still, a guy had shown up (dj, billups, or butler), a CALL there, a willie green or hill appearance there and we would be still playing.

I think we could have beaten them. DJ won't have to play defense against Perkins. Ibaka is not a low post scorer. Durant would have destroyed butler, but if we can slow down everyone else, we would have a great chance of winning. Slow down Kevin Martin and Reggie Jackson, which we can do, means pretty much all the perimeter points are from Durant. And okc doesn't have much interior scoring with ibaka, Perkins, and collision. Memphis front line just destroyed us, in both scoring and rebounding.

All that is necessary is for Paul to call Howard up and ask where he would like both of them to go to win a championship next year. If Howard has any desire to remain on the West coast, then the Clippers with Paul and Griffin might be very appealing to him. Maybe even the chance to share the same house with the Lakers and Kobe will light his fire. I think he is just who we need if, and only if, Paul and Griffith play with him. I would pay to watch that.

^ We have $45,000,000 committed in salary for next year... BEFORE signing Chris Paul. So yeah, if Dwight wants to play for veterans' minimum, it's a possibility.

i wonder where all that aggresion stems from. Also, they may just add OKC to their list of hated rivals because OKC is up 1-0 so far

Thre comes a time in a person's life when they have to draw a line in the sand and say , no matter what come hell or highwater,,I will never root for______________.

Since I am older then most of you guys I have a pretty good list of teams and car drivers (I like NASCAR,,I know, weird) I will never root for in my life no matter who they play, (well maybe not if we play IRAN or N. KOREA).

Memphis went on the NBA list for the last year.

Hurts yes, but not surprsied. All signs pointed to problems in the post season. Well, one things for certain OKC vs. Memphis will be a game of nothing but free throws....LMFAO.
