All these unfortunate bad articles I'm having to share, I feel I owe it to my brothers to share an epic, positive one now. This is one of those once a year epics from ESPN on our team. Well done Ramona!

As frustrating as Blake is lately his drive to improve is strong so at least we have hope.

Griffin is a workaholic. His free throw shooting has dramatically improved from this time last year. By next season his jumper will be useful, maybe not reliable, but useful.

Blake has the drive. Just gotta become more efficient when it comes to a jumpshot.

If his mid range jumper can become automatic like Malone, he would be unstoppable with CP3 in the pick and fade/row game. When the defense is trying to recover back to Blake when helping on CP3, Blake can hit the open jumper, ball fake and drive, or drive pass a charging defender.

" Do they see eye-to-eye on everything? No. There are arguments over how the Clippers should play. There is frustration and friction from time to time."

Blake on CP3. This line below is very troubling though because this is what us fans want Blake to STOP doing.

"When I feel I'm playing at my best, I'm facilitating," Griffin says. "I like having the ball in the post -- not because I need to score every time, but because I like to make plays from there.

Sigh.. Blake you need to be our primary scoring and rebounding PF... We have an elite playmaking PG to facilitate.

Blake's biggest single issue this season IMO is over passing and not attacking enough so last thing we need is him saying we wants MORE of the facilitating role.

Blake will be a whole nother animal next season when we can't rely on our depth and where he has to play 37 min a game. He might just be our best player next year.

We need a coach who will push him to play 37-39 minutes a game. He's too much of a young, athletic freak of nature to be playing 32 minutes a game. He's not fu**ing 37 year old Duncan. He should be playing WAY more. CP3 I understand conserving because he's 3-4 years older, gets a lot of injuries and is a PG who gets floored a ton.

There isn't anything wrong with being a facilitator but like you said he overpasses even when he has a good look sometimes. Sometimes I feel like he is afraid to score and defers too much. I think he will get it eventually. Even Lebron was like that at one point but now he knows when to attack and when to pass. BG needs to learn that. I feel like he would learn a lot more from someone like Lebron than Kobe. They are both power players and good passers from the post and very unselfish players. Its not about scoring....

^Good point. I agree, his post game is more important than his jump shot. He hasn't improved his post game enough.

Good points Heliflopter. Like the article says I get excited when we see his "Neo" moments like when he has nearly 20 in first half of games etc. Problem is he never sustains it. Would be amazing if he could follow up with 15-17 in the second half of games too. Vinny though switches the second half to CP3/Crawford iso ball and benches Griffin WAY too long.

I feel like VDN doesn't feature BG enough in the offense and doesn't really run any plays for him which is stupid. Then again i am not sure if he runs plays for anyone or if its just CP3 freelancing/winging it. This season I have only seen him have dominant games when CP3 was injured. He had some great first half but like you said he just isn't featured at all in the 2nd half which makes no sense.

Nice interview with Blake. Blake used to play point guard before he hit his growth spurt, so that would explain his affinity to facilitate. I just wished that he would shoot more when he is in the paint right below the FT line. Just elevate and bank it home if you have to. But it's great how he has improved his free throw shooting. Get even better there, but main thing is that he has to be a better outside shooter. Outside shooting should be his #1 focus this off season. Love it, embrace it, and....

That's why I'm torn on rooting for us today. Why? Because if we lose 4 straight to exit the first round I'm 100 percent sure Vinny is gone and we know damn well Sloan, SVG etc will want the job. If we pull off a miracle and win in 7... Vinny's job gets safer and safer. Better to have one more heartbreak and do a partial rebuild, hire a top notch coach and make a TRUE run next year with better pieces than lock Vinny back onto our team.

I rather have DJ gone. Its been what 4-5 years? He has barely improved at all. His ft shooting has actually regressed and I think he is a bad influence on Blake. He needs to grow up. He should be doing that on another team not on a team that wants to contend. He can do that on the Bobcats.

Yeah I think with practice it's a play that could work with Blake's ball-handling and passing skills. Esp. against Memphis- this way you can get Randolph and Gasol further away from the basket. Blake would have to get better at the jumper also for this to consistently work.

And yeah, assuming DJ is not traded, of course.

DJ had the lowest FT percentage of any player that qualified for worst in the NBA. The only worse was Drummond I believe in general. Do people know that DJ shot 11 percent from the line in April. That means in April and May combined DJ is shooting a shocking 16 percent from the line. I don't think people quite understand the magnitude of that. That makes Shaq's free throw shooting look like Steve Nash.

If his defense was at least Tyson Chandler level by now it would be fine but it's declined rapidly despite what some people say. I remember in 2010-2011 he looked like a DOMINANT defender. He's a shell of that player.

I think DJ should be traded though, but if isn't, Blake would have to master the mid range jumper. Otherwise, the defense is not going to respect his shot and will go under the screen.

DJ has to be one of the worst ft shooters ever. Chris Dudley was pretty bad but it's pretty debatable between those 2.

yeah its nice and it would be great to see DJ traded, but we would have to sacrifice ebled for any team to take dj's bloated contract. i mean, someone could amnesty him, but what makes us think we would get anything back for him

Blake needs to stop working on offense ( outside of a post game and FT's ) and focus more on defense and BOXING OUT FOR REBOUNDS.

Yup- exactly. If Blake becomes a very reliable jump shooter, all sorts of possibilities open up. It's getting better, just not quite there yet. We need it to the point where the other team will rush up to him to challenge his jumper. Right now the defenders are just like- go ahead....
