This season is disappointing as HELL to end it. No way to soften that particular blow. Some GOOD will come of this though.

  1. Vinny is 100 percent gone. It's literally a done deal after this failure. The bigger question though is... if Sterling is finally willing to pay big bucks for a top tier coach. I think he will personally.

  2. We know now beyond a doubt that DJ is a goner. If we can't move him I doubt the new coach starts him.

  3. Bledsoe will be moved to get us help at the SG/SF spots.

  4. Matt Barnes earned himself an extension and CP3 will likely PUSH for him to return.

  5. CP3+Blake will likely go insane this summer to improve and next year in year 3 I expect a leap.

^ aside from vdn being gone, unless we get phil, jvg, or someone new like brian shaw, im still bummed. but you are right, im not fretting, considering i have witnessed far too much mediocrity in my 21 years rooting for the clips, didnt abandon them then, certainly wont start now.

I love Chauncey, but he has nothing left. Wouldn't mind him playing occasionally like Hill did this year.

I wonder how would the Clippers have played if they traded for KG and Ariza...

Man we could've used Kmart and Reggie.

Last year's team had better 3 point shooting- Mo, Foye, and Young.

For those talking about moving Chauncey; let's not forget he just came back from an injury right before the playoffs. Frankly, he hasn't been healthy at all this season.

If he can log in 55+ games next season, I'm sure he won't disappoint.

PF:BLAKE GRIFFIN CConfused??????? u guys tell me... I'm excited!!!!!!!!!

Chauncey being put back in the starting lineup ruined chemistry.... way to go VDN.... We saw like 8 different line ups.... do you even know your team?

Hill and Billups are DONE!!!! Was VDN basically turning in his resignation by playing them so much when they barely played all season?

Start next season with a core of CP3 and Blake (possibly Caron) and Barnes and Crawford. Even keep Hollins and Green, but other than that get rid of everyone

I LOVE Chauncey but if I have to watch him start 12 games at SG next season......

I'm interested to see how this offseason unfolds. It's time to get younger on the wings and take a hard look at what we have in Deandre (we'll see if a new coach can get better results), if not, unfortunately it may be time to move on (from my favorite clipper Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_13 )

No need to be sad guys, this was one of the funnest seasons I can remember Very Happy

i see some want ebled gone, but he no showed in this series, for the most part. he lost some value for sure. caron is not gone, unless we find a team who wants an expiring contract. odom may be back, but getting less for sure. id offer him a one year, 4 million dollar contract. with a new coach, id go after kmart again. adios turiaf, hill, billups, dj. hello reddick or korver. even make a hard push for jeff green. resign barnes, hollins and green.

all good points.

since we won't be able to get anything for DJ, i could see us packaging him and bled.

anyone else see cp3 telling vinny to put butler in? not sure if it was the end of the 3rd or beginning of the 4th

and i never thought i'd rather see willie than chauncey

I absolutely agree with all the above.... Losing this series hurts a LOT but gotta give props to Memphis. This series they played as the better team...

With that said, a defensive coach should be top priority after CP3 resigns. Unless Chauncey wants to come in at the minimum AND off the bench, tell him thanks but no thanks... Find a sucker err I mean another team willing to take DJ off our hands even if we are offered a bag of rocks, get a real defensive minded center with consistent shooters... No 4 bad games for every good game Caron type shooters please.

lets try to see if the clips draft jeff withey. he seems to be a solid prospect as a center. has more heart than DJ for sure. to me these are the top 3 FA targets: korver, reddick and jeff green. maybe look at beno udrih to back up cp3 if we do deal ebled.

As bummed as I am, I understand where you are coming from. There is no doubt i'd rather be entering a game 7 but I feel I can find solace in this upcoming offseason moreso then other seasons purely because I feel our major problems were put on display for all to see and cant just be ignored anymore. If we can address even some of the issues we have we are gunna be SCARY next year.

A healthy Billups is still to old to hand with the rest of the NBA. I love Chaunce but he's done and his body is telling him that already but falling apart.

Crawford is PISSED in this interview. Upset he only got 12 minutes. Sure he was cold... but he should have fu**ing gotten Billups 4th quarter minutes that cost us the game.

I obviosuly want Chauncey off this team, but I would take that over Chauncey luring Chris Paul out of LA...

I don't know. I'm strangely calm and almost optimistic. Maybe it's because all my crushing disappointment happened with Game 5.

Our great players deserve to rest on the off season. Don't have to worry about other obligations like the Olympics...just rest. Recuperate.

It'll be interesting to see who coaches next. If it's still Vinny I would be SHOCKED.

I honestly believe SOMEONE will want a freakishly athletic center like DJ. But I would love to see a tough, big center to compliment Blake. Either a dominating presence like Cousins or Bynum...or a mid range shooter like Jefferson or Gasol.

I would love to find a good 6'5-6'7 SG but in the mean time I'm happy to keep Willie and Jamal at that position.

Maybe it's time to let go of Caron, but that's not a deal breaker. Heck I'm wondering if we shouldn't reverse roles and have Barnes start, with Caron's firepower off the bench. I know Barnes is not a consistent outside threat, but maybe his defense is enough...especially if we have the right starting SG and C to go with Blake and CP3.

Anyway, I'm already hopeful about next year.

I have issues with #2, '86...

What makes you think DJ is definitely a goner?

Damn, I f***** hope so... but we're gonna need to find a sucker.

Motherfuck... I'm depressed.

Of course he said that. Right now he has the leverage to be the de facto GM and select the coach and teammates he wants. Why would he throw that leverage away to say "I'm signing July 1st!"??

This is why Chris will always play it aloof when asked about his future in LA. He won't commit to LA publicly (evenly though he has privately) until DJ is officially gone. He needs to exercise that leverage.

I agree..... I expected everything that Chris was going to say.... Why give the front office leverage to be happy with mediocre even after this being our best season?

guess I'm the exception to the rule, as I'd prefer to not only keep DJ, but to double his minutes, and.... if anyone needs to step up their D, it's CP3 (and Blake)....

and the last thing we need is more shooters like Korver or Reddick.... we need wing defenders and rugged post players come playoff time....

personally would say good bye to Lamar and bring back Thompkins in his stead, and go after someone to replace what we lost with the loss of Reggie and Kenyon....

and not so sure we need to trade Bledsoe, even tho I was one of the ones championing him and DJ to Portland for draft picks.... we need a sg to replace Chauncey and a sf to replace Grant Hill, and personally.... would replace Ryan Hollins, and.... that's it.

do think that CP3 has reached his ceiling, and think that it's asking a lot for Donald to pay him the $110m, as know it never woulda happened, and.... think it woulda been more fair for him to sign for the three years @$60m....

am hoping for a new coach, and.... not sure who works best w/CP3 and team.... ??

So...I decided to sign up and post after years of sitting back on the sidelines and just reading. I go way back to when the espn boards were the cats tits if you will. For my old school peeps RIP Alanismustdienow. I had to post basically because this season has been something that all of us Clip fans have dreamed of...but right now it feels like it all was a nightmare. Where does one start? Let's start with Vinny. I don't have any hate for the guy, but I think we all can agree that we knew without....

Clipper Nation... We are hurt. Deeply. The Clippers could have gone a lot further. This team was capable of a lot more on the court but for one reason or another it didn't happen this season. Don't be too upset though because the Clippers are on the rise. The Clippers have a bright future... "Very Bright" (Blake Voice from Kia commercial) LOL This wound will heal. I promise you. The Clippers organization will continue on going in the right direction and the Clippers will be better than ever. No doubt in my mind.

I was able to take my wife and son and daughter to many games and for that I am truly thankful. I was able to take my nephew and friends to 3 playoff games and for that I am grateful.

And when I was stressed on life, I was able to vent on this message board. and for that I am thankful.

CLIPPER NATION FOR LIFE.

Yet again... There's always next year.

This year, we made a lot of progress though. So many Clipper Haters now. F*CK EM!!!! CLIPPER NATION FOR LIFE!!!

if you look at it rotation wise, it's almost impossible to play DJ starters minutes without playing him in the first 8 minutes of the 4th quarter. He maxes out at 27-28 MPG if he's only playing 3 quarters, and the best ways to keep players productive is to monitor how many consecutive minutes they play. That is more vital than overall minutes played.

Moving DJ won't be easy, it would have to be in package with Bledsoe. Problem is that there are no defensive athletic C's on the market to replace him with. Samuel Dalemerr is the closest thing to a defensive/rebounding type C, but the Clippers only have the MLE and can't use it on one player.

Another option is Zaza Pachulia, he's a tough defensive / rebounding C who can also shoot, but you have to be worried about the price for him.

Unfortunately while pissed at the world I predicted we wouldn't get out of the first round.BG needs A LOT of work. Zbo is a better player. Also Zbo should have been ejected for choking Blake.

DJ's problem is that he gets altitude sickness causing no oxygen to the brain. This is from having his head so high in the clouds that he can't see the real world. Maybe he can't see because his eyes are full of **** from having his head up his booty hole

Bledsoe can't run a team. He's still out of control. Wayans played well. Trade Bledsoe. He's not as valuable as anybody thinks

Jackson plays the triangle. Paul isn't a good fit for the triangle. JVG isn't going to coach. I've said all along if he's healthy Jerry Sloane KMart is getting old and he's not that good any more. We got hurt bad because of Chauncey and Grant's injuries. Grant balled last year. For you newbies it's called Clipper Luck

We will have to gut our roster. A big problem is that our shooters can be streaky. One thing that killed us was missed shots, yes they defended well but we missed. Where were Caron's 10 points? Actually once Willie got out of his slump he was great, probably the most consistent. Willie could start

Chauncey will realize he's washed up and retire otherwise he'll embarrass himself. We have BG, CP, Barnes, Wllie, Wayans and Jamal. They can all be had cheap. Maybe LO is worth a couple of mil. Not much more. If we keep DJ he comes off the bench or doesn't play. Bite the bullet (or is it the bag) and accept that you screwed yourself. Maybe LO can play back up PF if he shows over the summer that he can score

Forget Cousins. His own team mates don't want to play with him. He's be great with Beasley.

Long story short (kinda). we need a SF who can consistently shoot and a starting center, maybe a back up center as well. We need a combo guard off the bench like an Eric Gordon. We need a swing man off the bench who can shoot lights out and nothing else. Like Korver It's all do able especially since Barnes and Willie will be cheap. Barnes' price will happily go up. We may have to go over the cap for a year

VND vs Ralph Lawler

1 Please bring in Willie Greene, Don't things work well with Hill in. He guarded Zac well Why did he ride the bench? Please bring Willie in.

Why did we play LO? Someone mentioned this before but why didn't he have Jamal run off multiple screens like Allen or Hamilton? I knew we lost the series in the 4th quarter of the second Game. Hollins figured us (read VDN) out. Why do they make adjustments that surprise us? EVERY TIME

The energy the first half was amazing. Where was that this season? Hollins found the holes and VDN never figured out how to plug them up. After the second game it shouldn't have been a mystery. They are a better team than last yr but so are we. Did we get out coached? Could Pop have won this series with this team?

We kinda lost the game at the foul line

In other words a lot of the blame falls on the not so broad shoulders of VDN
