it's about what's in the Clippers needs. Rule #1 in the NBA Draft is to always pick what is the best player available because it can be beneficial in the future.

Yeah Arthur or Chalmers would be spectacular at #35.

I feel like I need to apologize. I acted a bit upset about our draft pick. We got a great player with Gordon who is the best shooter in the draft. He can shoot lights out and that's much needed for this Clipper team. Our front office is on their game and they will find a way to get a PG before season start. We still have the second round and we pick 5th there. There are quite a few guards there so we could pick one up and hope for the best...who knows could be a sleeper. It's happened before.
We have a great team and are getting the necessary pieces we need.
Again sorry guys for not being more optimistic. Gordon was the right choice, not Bayless.

No problem. I felt the same way when we got Al Thornton over Nick Young. But now I'm pretty glad we picked the best player available.

here's my chat transcript my final message to the Clips

Frank (Roxboro, NC): I been a Clipper fan for decades and I want to congratulate you all for a job well done by picking Eric Gordon. Is he a good defender and is he good on starting and finishing on the fastbreak?

Kim Hughes: He's very strong, and he's very intense, therefore he can be and is a good defender. He has great range because of his strength and is able to finish at the basket because he hase very strong shoulders that allows him to create space for his shots.

Clippers.com: That's about all we have time for today, Clipper Nation! Thank you for all of your questions. Log on to Clippers.com for more information about the second round pick. We look forward to seeing more of our first round pick Eric Gordon during Summer League in Las Vegas!

Sweet...I see your submission on there!! We both got on, one right after the other. Two consecutive TopBuzz members on the Clippers.com chat. Right ON!!!

Yeah, and Lester Hudson and Ty Lawson are out of the draft...there isnt much for PGs except Chalmers, and some lower 2nd rounders like Sean Singletary and such.

I dont really care for the big men in this draft. I'd go with another guard.

Oh also another question. When can we use that Timberwolves draft pick? 2 years from now?

Actually I think it's in 2011 when it's no longer lottery protected, but we could use it even next year if somehow the Wolves do make the playoffs (most likely not gonna happen).

Wait how could we use it if they made it to the playoffs? wouldn't that mean we would pick low because they did so well?
Sorry never understood how that pick worked
