clipperfan714 is right about one thing, DA is not AB, yet. Offensively he is a couple of years behind AB. Defensively, shotblocking, and rebounds, he is far enough along. AB has more offensive developement. However, DeAndre Jordan could turn to be a superior athletete to AB. Athleticially, he is off the charts for a 7 footer and he can fill the lanes on the break with the swiftness of a guard. He can back up Kaman, but is a year or two away from offensively being able to start for an NBA team. Still, quite a steal in the 2nd round.

Can we give Minnesota back their pick for Mike Miller?

Deandre Jordan has the word "bust" written all over his jersey. His game, based on my observations are reminescent of Chris Wilcox, and we all know how Wilcox performed for the Clips. Some "experts" compared Jordan to Dwight Howard. Wow, that is a bold statement. Listen, Jordan can't shoot if his life depended on it, no post up game what so ever, but do possess athleticism. I think Jordan's athletic ability is a step higher than Wilcox, but their games are too similiar. Jordan can ONLY score on putbacks, and alleyoop plays, pretty much a hustle-type player. The only way Jordan will be productive for us, is on the defensive end. By blocking shots and rebounding off the bench. In my opinion, Jordan won't develop into a poor mans Howard. Howard is a BEAST, notice how the majority of his points are in the paint? He pushes and bangs his way in there and POSTERIZES opponents. In the end, Jordan has potential, but unless he learns how to incorporate defense as his biggest asset, like Chandler, his career will be cut short unfortunately.

^^I think he's great pick because it was in the 2nd round. He should help defensively as a presence in the paint. But one thing is for sure- he can't get worse offensively, right? And the Clippers do have good assistant coaches such as Kim Hughes who are good at developing big men (look at Chris Kaman). If he's as coachable as Kaman it would help a lot.

Look, because he is a second rounder, his contract isn't guaranteed. They could send him to the D league for seasoning. Or cut him outright. Because of that, I'm sure this young man is going to do everything in his power to make sure he is done all that he can to get ready to be a Clipper, and try to improve each year. I here that this young guy does has his head screwed on right, and he has tons of family support. He will be a good team mate.

I just expect that he loves playing basketball...If he really likes basketball and not only making money he could help us in the next future because he'll learn how to take advantage of his body...

He reminds me to Tyson Chandler who nowadays isn't a great offensive player but with his size he helps a lot rebounding and playing defense.

Clippers first round draft pick Eric Gordon will be on the air with Steve Mason and John Ireland on 710 ESPN today at 3:10 pm.

If anyone is around I guess check it out. Could be interesting. Maybe the clipper site will have the podcast up after the interview.
