You'll probably be surprised how different the view of DJ might be amongst the league's GM's and coaches. DJ isn't the first player in the league who couldn't shoot FT's and is a starter on a team.

Here are some thoughts you'll get: -they didn't use him well -he just needs someone to teach him defense and put him in the right system -they need to maximize him in the post and develop that part of his game -you can't teach height and athletic ability -he shot 53% from the FT line the previous year, why can't he get back up to that -he just needs the proper coaching a development because a lot of tools are there

Fans are generally always more critical about their own players and less about others in situations like these.

DJ, Bledsoe, Butler for Gordon, Lopez and a 2nd Round Pick. Use the MLE on Barnes, Sign Odom & Billups to Vet Min Deals. Sign JO/KMart as Backup 5.

Paul-Billups-Wayns Gordon-Crawford-Green Barnes-Hill-Draft Pick (A Jimmy Bulter kind of guy who we can develop like CHI did) Griffin-Odom- Draft Pick (A Guy with Post Offense we can develop, in case Blake goes down the PO's again) Lopez-JO/KMART-Hollins

we lose most of our athleticism with this trade but yet again as we all witnessed, athleticism doesn't win games considering how athletic we were.

our centers AND power forward's got punked... why? they both have no skill yet. 100% of DJ's game is based of athleticism and about 80% of blakes game is also athleticism.

Coming out of High School Robin Lopez was known as the better player of the 2 Lopez brothers...Now he is considered the Best Defensive player and Rebounder of the 2.

This would be a high risk/high reward trade(we all know how that normally turned out in Clippers history). Gordon loved it here so coming back and playing for a winning team would motivate him. EJ would provide extra scoring and another weapon in crunch time. He can create his own shot. Robin Lopez is underrated and would be an upgrade over DJ.

Pretty much, what would you rather have? A slightly improved DJ(wishful thinking) or gamble on EJ who would make huge contributions if he stays healthy(also wishful thinking).

I'd say our SG position would be in pretty good shape with EJ, Crawford and Green. Even if EJ gets injured, we'd have the guy who was our starting SG when we played at our best this year. Only there'd be no debate about starting EJ once he came back.

As far as Lopez...it's kind of a lateral move. Except there'd be no hack-a-Robin to worry about. I'm kinda liking this deal more and more. I don't think it happens, but...

No, not anything to get rid of DJ if it's a bad trade. And don't know why it would be easy to trade a injury prone 14+ mil per year guy if he' s not working out for us, lol.

Way too big of a IF to take a chance on, particularly at 14+mil per year. Better options out there, IMO.

See, I'm not worried about injuries to EJ. I'm almost positive he will be injured next year no matter who he's playing for. But we've proven we can win if we have Willie in the starting lineup. Think about it. We will have EJ/Willie, then Jamal. That's a heck of a lot better than Chauncey/Willie/Crawford. I'd love to have him back. And the sooner DJ goes, the better.

Then we'll still be in good shape in the SG position. Injuries to Blake or CP3 are of biggest concern.

Good point but still I'd gamble to dump DJ. He's one of the reasons why we lost to Memphis. As they say in Texas he looks like a whupped dawg.

Robin Lopez is a good cheaper younger center that can hit his free throws. Him and blake would work probably better than he did with DJ. With the hopes of blake griffin improving his jumper and post-moves it would make the team that much better at the 4 and 5.

EJ is whatever in my opinion. I rather have korver, oj mayo, or reddick.

Billups could have contributed before his injury, Butler and Crawford had some fire and enough talent to contribute.

DJ had neither talent, fire nor heart

CB, Jamal and CB looked like they lost. Jordan looked like he was lost

The funny thing is that Robin Lopez is the good part of that rumor. EJ is just a bad contract now. Just imagining CP3, EJ, and Blake, we're just short and stubby.

I'll admit, it's not as if Lopez puts up that type of performance all the time, but he's a legit 7 footer. And a relatively big, athletic one as well. He stays pretty active. Like his brother, he could stand to grab more rebounds, but he also has a pretty nice post up game. I love the highlight of him hitting FT's in the 4th quarter. lol

Who knows how an energized, happy-to-be-here Robin Lopez would play at center for the Clippers. There are definitely better centers in the league, but I'm kinda digging this idea. Probably won't happen but still...

Well, CP3 certainly made me miss EJ less. But if we had a chance to get him back, I seriously consider it. I actually do miss Kaman. A big bulking 7-footer who can actually take up space and hit a shot or two.

I would miss Kaman if I thought he understood his role, but he didn't. If he played solid d and rebounded and only shot within the o, that would have been perfect. I think he was feeling too good about his outside shot and I don't think he was willing to defer to Blake. Also, do you remember how he refused to dunk the ball and missed so many "chippies".

Blake is not a center. He is an offensive player and would get taken out of his game if he had to play D down low. Remember when Dumbleavy contemplated on changing Blake to a 3.

At least we'd have someone out there playing defense. Al Horford isn't a center either and he's doing just fine.

I guess but DJ and Caron's contracts are awful so it would be pretty much Bledsoe and Jamal. And those are way easier to replace than a starting center like Greg Monroe dont ya think. His game and AGE is perfect with blake i think. If this is offered i say do it in a heartbeat and deal with the rest later.

That's dumping our best trade assets (plus JC!) for Greg Monroe and Robin Lopez. GREG MONROE and ROBIN LOPEZ. Eek. That trade would make David Kahn look like a genius.

we wouldnt be losing most of our athleticsm...ej is athletic with a 40 in vert, and blake is atheletic on difference is that we would get a center in return whose essentially contributes to the team same if not more than dj on a lesser contract

Cips should bring Aminu back and develop him. He's going to be 23, he neds to be signed early and assigned a shooting coach for the summer.

He has potential as a 3/D/rebounding SF/PF which is really nice. Sort of like a poor mans Marion. His rebounding and defense as a SF would be welcome, and though he's gone away from 3's, you can tease it back out of him, get him confident. Even if no three's, he's a nice versatile defender to have and always active.

If we had Kaman we may have beaten MEM. He has a decent mid range jumper and he's 75+% ft's. He doesn't dunk because like Zbo he can't jump. He can play 4th quarter. I'd trade him for DJ straight up in a heartbeat.

Sign Kaman and Brand and let DJ come off the bench like days of yore.

At this point Aminu is mostly a Do Not Play. We need a SF not another project
