Maybe he heard the Clippers are probably going to have a coaching vacancy?

Maybe a good fit for Sloan; Milwaukee's a similar-sized media market to Salt Lake City, which he's not going to get much attention nationally, and he has his farm in Southern Illinois, which is only a few hours drive from Milwaukee.

If the Bucks loses both Jennings and Ellis, he's going to be in for one hell of a rebuilding project. This is a franchise that is not only struggling to get a new arena built, struggling to stay relevant in their own city...the Bucks are distant fourth nowadays behind the Packers, Brewers, and Marquette basketball (maybe even fifth behind UW-Milwaukee hoops).

And how many teams did he meet with last year.

I doubt a 71-yr old coach who wants to get back into the game will choose a franchise that has no chance of getting out of the East and is probably going to go through another rebuild. Hopefully he's just making the rounds until Clippers announce Vinny is gone out of courtesy. Without bias, I have to say, the Clippers have the most attractive vacancy.

Sloan would be the Bucks coach by now if he was actually interested. He wants us or Brooklyn if I had to guess.

I believe Sloan would be the perfect fit with us. I also believe this would be the best option to have BG and DJ grow and get tougher down low. The only option that could possibly be better is SVG with Patrick Ewing.

i think the oldest coach in nba history was hubie brown at 72 years of age. sloan's 71 and aging in your 70s isnt like aging in your 20s or 30s. every year, especially long stressful days as an nba coach, are pretty much the equivalent of 5 years.

with a relatively young nucleus, i dont know if hiring a 71 year old is the best option going forward. continuity for the next couple years would be better.

And yet again we hear that Sloan is not interested in a rebuilding project. Leaving only a small amount of teams that Sloan may want to coach.

Hubie was 71 when he "decided" to retire after 12 games in the 04/05 season.

Sloan would be the oldest coach in NBA history by 6 mos.
