Don't know if people have been reading ESPN, CBS Sports, Yahoo and other sites the last couple months on a frequent basis, but another article came out today in regards to Marc Cuban and his 2 year plan to contend. Obviously he's seriously targeting Dwight Howard AND Chris Paul. With all the maneuvering he's been doing the last few years to get cap space, he did a hell of a job AGAIN to get tons of open cap space. I'm not going to lie and say I'm not worried at all, Laker fans should feel the same way. There is a....

They don't even have the cap room to give both guys the max.

And you think that if both guys agreed to go there, they wouldn't take a paycut for a chance to win big? I put it at a 65% chance that Cp3 stays with us at this point, only because he's been very quiet about the entire thing. I doubt he leaves, but I can see him taking a paycut to leave and join forces with someone somewhere, and also taking a paycut to stay here.

sorry but dont think they will even land either one. Dirk = Defensive liability and offensively deteriorating plus questionable health. Dont think that is really that attractive of a place to go. Plus, players dont really seem to like Cuban.

Also, how is he a genius at clearing cap room? Pretty easy to do: see the Wizards, Cavs, and the Bobcats.

CP3 isn't leaving. Pretty much no chance at this point especially not for Dallas. Dwight might leave though but I think he would prefer the Rockets, Nets, or even the GSWs(he said he was interested).

Tbh I think cp3 got a better chance of winning a title with a core of dirk and Dwight.

I really don't think CP3 wants anything to do with Dwight Howard anymore. It was the first thought I had when the rumor broke that Clippers will not be pursuing Dwight Howard this offseason. I figured they talked with CP3 and he said he didn't want that flake around the locker-room. Or, that news broke as a decoy to take attention away from the fact that the Clippers are making a play for Dwight Howard.

I put it at 99.9% Cp3 stays. I would be surprised if FO didn't get Cp3's commitment BEFORE they let VDN go.

I honestly think CP3 stays and Howard signs with the Rockets.Howard didn't seem happy at all about how the Lakers season turned out.And now with Kobe likely to be out for at least half the season and Nash,MWP, and Gasol on the decline there is no reason for him to stay.If I were him I would rather join the young core of Lin,Harden,Parsons,Robinson, and Asik. That team would defiantly be a contender with Howard, while the Lakers would again struggle to make the playoffs and Howard would continue to have to answer to Kobe and MDA.

Lucky for us CP3 doesn't have that sort of situation. He could go to Alanta with Howard but I think he is done with the thought of teaming up with D12.Howard and him had a chance but because of Howard not being able to make up his mind they never teamed up.Plus Howard didn't look like himself last year and you might have to start to think about his health.I think CP3 would rather stay and see how Blake continues to develop and he is basically calling the shots with the team.Don't see a reason why he wouldn't want to stay.

It will be an interesting off-season, but I can't see Dwight Howard leaving the Lakers after he worked so hard just to get here. On top of the fact that he will be totally overpaid with that $118 mil deal the Lakers will give him, he totally loves being in LA and playing in front of celebs at Lakers home games. Unfortunately for Lakers, I don't think he cares one iota about winning a championship so they will have to live with him for 5 years while he enjoys LA life and the pseudo-celeb status that he is leveraging off of.

I don't know about the income tax benefits in Texas but I guarantee you in CA they ain't cheap. Chris Paul WILL NOT (sorry for the caps but necessary) TAKE A PAY CUT. Why play with D12 who is an injured flake rather than BG who's a gym rat and serious as a Holmes left jab? CP3 is a Clipper 4 Life

Wish Barnes were.

ps

Tyson wasn't sh*t. He never fought anybody. Who would have porked him?

Joe Louis would have destroyed him.

A Young Ali. If you've never seen him when he was young Youtube him.

Larry Holmes would have jabbed him to death. That's how Holyfield who wasn't a natural heavyweight beat him

SONNY LISTON would have murdered him. He threw the two Ali fights. He was mobbed up big time.

Marciano if he were 200lb

Possibly Ken Norton

Possibly Lennox Lewis

A great fight Frazier/Tyson and Tyson might lose

Hey, if you want the Lakers to suck for the next 5 years, then you should be rooting for them to re-sign Dwight for a horrible amount of $118 mil.

Mark Cuban stained his image when he let his championship team just leave for nothing... and that is my honest opinion....

CP3 and family just got back from vacation(Mexico)... I think now we will start hearing a little bit more from him or his circle about his future. But he tweeted back from vacation, had fun in Mexico, time to get back to work.

Exactly. He put all his eggs in one basket by letting a championship team go and he still could have had Deron if he showed up when he came to visit. He screwed the pooch in more ways than one.

Mark Cuban is the guy who gives up on a girl who is a 7 or 8 in order for the chance to pursue a girl who is a 9 or 10. He got too greedy and ended up with nothing. He really screwed Dirk over. The Mavs have no chance of getting Paul and almost no chance of getting Dwight. All they can pursue now are borderline All Star players and they will have to overpay to get them.

I don't think they can offer a better chance to win then we can,,providing we make the right upgrades to say center.

So he can get more money, a better ring chance ,and already lives here,,,why move?

I joined this site I never heard of before called Fully Clips (I think they are part of SI) and they show the 3 most likely team for CP3. They state Dallas, us and Atlanta. They talk about Dirk,, he has won a ring he with Dwight and himself and Dirk they could be a dynasty. They say Atlanta really has no chance. Then they admit we are the most likely because CP3 runs the team and face it,,money talks and BS walks.

I hope they don't extend OJ Mayo so Clippers can make him our starting SG and boot Chauncey off the team.
