Also in addition to the last post, don't forget that Ariza shot 47.1% on corner there's. it's the above break there's and mid-range that hurt him. He shot 29% on above break there's, and mid-range wasn't terrible at 37%, he's been worse, but he's not a very good off the dribble shooter.

He went from a slasher and cutter to a spot up shooter. As a coach, you need to maximize his corner three's and his slashing and cutting to make him a better offensive player. "We want you shooting there's, a lot when you are open, but we want you shooting them in the corner. Outside of that, we want you doing what you did in your younger days and slashing and cutting to the basket. Those above the break there's though as the worst culprit along with him trying anything that isn't right at the rim in the paint.

Defensively, Washington was 3 pts/100 better on defense with him on, and 0.7 pts/100 better on offense. Really helped the defense, and kept the offense the same, helped it a little. Washington was the worst offense in the league (100.3 Ortg) so his 102 Ortg and .538 TS% was still able to help them.

Orlando Magic swingman Arron Afflalo indicated Saturday on Twitter that he's aware of the rumor that the Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers have discussed a potential trade that would involve him.

Although nothing appears imminent, the Clippers would supposedly send 23-year-old point guard Eric Bledsoe and 33-year-old swingman Caron Butler to the Magic for the 27-year-old Afflalo.

lets do it. His scoring has increased every year he has been in the league. His year in Orlando has shown he is not "the man" but as a starter for DEN he shot 49% FG 42% and 85% FT. The RIGHT coach could use AA and Crawford very effectively.

considering everything else being talked about this has to be considered a last resort. And still don't do it unless we get Harkless, Tobias or a lottery pick.

I wouldn't mind Afflalo as a third option for the time being. I don't think Bledsoe's value can get any higher.

Bled is my favorite player but lets not over rate him for what he might do. Lets evaluate his value on what he has done. Besides bringing Gordon back AA is my top choice!

If we throw in Buer then that means we will have money to sign Pierce.

Afflalo > granger. Granger's knees are too much of a concern.

Hell no! Affalo is good but to trade ebled for him is a no no. Unless we are getting a pick, I don't want to do this trade.

With Billups and Odom off the payroll, I say sign Reddick. If his price is outrageous, then look at trades. Reddick is a great shooter and gritty defender. Afflalo would be good if we didn't already have Crawford.

This might be a good option if we manage to get Garnett and Pierce.

Paul/Billups

Afflalo/Jamal

Pierce/Barnes

Blake/Odom or Turiaf/Hollins

Garnett/Turiaf or Hollins.

I like JJ reddick also. He would be a gmgood signing. His defense improved a lot and he's no longer just a spot up shooter.

SF - Iguodala or Parsons (somehow someway)

Only way I'd do this trade is if Kyle O'Quinn came with and we get a 2nd rounder as well. Bledsoe for Afflalo is still uneven. SG's are a dime a dozen.

I think we must consider a certainty that Butler will be gone as he is useless and has valuable expiring contract, which combined with Bledsoe makes a very high-value package deal. Those two for Afflalo is too much, but if Afflalo comes with some of the young Orlando forwards or the second pick, it would be a fair trade. If the Boston thing happens and we can then get Afflalo and let's say Harkless, then we are looking at this team:

Chris Paul

Afflalo

Paul Pierce

Blake Griffin

Garnett

Harkless

Crawford

Green

Barnes

drafting a back-up PG

Signing a back-up C

So imagine we get a young center from the draft and what development he will experience with KG and Blake around him. Same goes if we draft a PG.

So we give them Bledsoe and cap relief for Afflalo?

I would think we can just trade Butler and free up space to sign Mayo or Corey Brewer. There are a lot of options at SG. I like Afflalo but trading our two tradeable assets doesn't make sense.

Personally, I would trade Bledsoe for Gerald Henderson. Or if the Celtics trade doesn't happen, Bledsoe/DJ/1st rounder for Afflalo, Vucevic, and Tobias Harris.

It sounds a lot to give up but Vucevic is a better fit for us than DJ and Harris would be our starting SF. Kid is legit.

The Los Angeles Clippers have held ongoing talks with the Orlando Magic on a trade involving Eric Bledsoe for Arron Afflalo.

The Clippers prefer to hold onto Bledsoe in the interim in hopes of landing a better offer, according to sources.

Afflalo is owed $23 million over the next three seasons.

i agree, i think we can get way better for bledsoe. almost every team in the league is high on bledsoe, why settle for affalo?

So we're not including Bledsoe in the Celtics trade? Aren't we getting Courtney Lee in that trade too? Is Aaron Afflalo that much better than Lee? Afflalo didn't shoot well at all this last season, and they both seem to be good defenders, so what's the huge difference between the two? Maybe they just want to shed Caron's contract, because I don't see what's so appealing about Afflalo. If we do trade Caron too, I guess we can resign Barnes, or sign Ariza since he's a free agent now.

If we trade Caron Butler we should do right by him and send him back to the Wizards in a sign and trade for Ariza and/or another filler player.

What makes you think Caron wants to go back to the Wizards? I would think Caron would like to go to a contender and not a team in the middle of rebuilding. Besides, Ariza is a free agent.

I definitely hope we're getting Lee in that negotiation if we're not dealing with Orlando. It would be nice to keep Bledsoe like Doc Rivers would want, or trade him for a much needed piece.

It's too bad though, I really wanted to watch Afflalo play for the Clippers.

Caron wouldn't even want to go to the Wiz on NBA 2K. He'd probably rather just retire than do that...

Caron loves the Wiz organization. He even said he'd be okay with it if happened.

I truly feel bad for Caron, and I actually want prince instead of him when we picked him up. He is most likely out and was shooting lights out this year. He would also kill the lakers every time we played them. I wouldn't mind it if he came off the bench or started at the two himself, but would like to see how he could do with the quicker guards. At least I know they wouldn't push him around tho.

There is a guy who I call "Guns" He was for a while the best 3pt shooter in the NB.A Stats for 36 min looks like this:

FG % 0.461

FT% 0.719

3PT % 0.428

PPG 13.6

Reb 2.9

We had the best run in the NBA in Dec when he started

He's dirt cheap, a steal at the price

Ralph Lawler "A consummate Pro"

DRUM ROLL PLEASE

NAME THAT PLAYER

Why is anybody considering Billups? He porked up and possibly cost us a game. He said he wants to go. Why spend a Euro on Odom? Even at Vets Min we can do better

CP3 Wayans (I hope he isn't flatulant)

Mystery man Crawford. Barnes as a swing man

Pierce Barnes and ??

BG Brand sorry but he can pork Zbo Probably $3 mill

KG and ?? KG will play limited minutes

Caron and Bledsoe for a young center or trust FA when KG retires it TWO YEARS (Toohip's crystal ball)

If Pierce gets the full MLE, there's no money to offer Brand $3M, he could be sign and traded for Reggie Evans' trade exception if that's allowed, which is still only like $1.7M.

If you do sign Brand, he can also be a backup C, he won't only play PF. Blake will play about 36 minutes, and Brand can play 12 at PF and 13 at C. KG can play 26 minutes at C, so you need someone to cover about 9 MPG at C. Or you could get a SF/PF, have Brand play more minutes at C, and for a few minutes a game you go Blake and your SF/PF at the 4/5, maybe 5 minutes a game.

So the 3 year/$24M contract wasn't good enough when 1) he's coming off a major injury and 2) no one else would have given him that kind of money?

I agree, and as I mentioned before, Elton Brand would be great. Heck, start him at center if DJ is traded and we can't get Garnett. Maybe Pierce and Brand can split the MLE. Chris Kaman would be a solid choice as well if we can get him to split the MLE.

We should see if Mayo would sign for less than Afflalo makes before we do this deal, (If Paul Pierce deal doesn't work) because we could trade Bled and Caron in a S&T for Iggy & Still have Mayo... I think at the SG & SF, OJ & Iggy is probably better than Afflalo & Paul Pierce.

YOU MENTIONED????????

I was once, as are most prophets, a voice alone in the wilderness crying for Brand

I guess plagiarism is the sincerest form of compliment. Brand is making

$3 millish can be had for two easy probably less. As far as center he's long and he used to play taller than he was with long arms and great legs but age and injuries have taken their toll.

Would Kaman want to be a Clipper again?
