Bledsoe will be a RFA and his qualifying offer is around $3.6 mill or so. How much is he going to be offered? As well if he doesn't start is he worth $8 mill easy? If he can't start at SG trade him. BTW his 3 pt shooting is a little better than Paul at 36 min.

Signing him for the bench is a big waste of cap. We could get a wing instead. Sorry I still like Willie to start at SG. He earned it.

If the commercial about arrest records comes up, I got arrested for exposing myself on camera standing behind Stu "The EEEEEEasy Duce" Lantz tynig vainly to urinate on his head.

If the banner doesn't come up it's still a great visual

What about a three team deal with the Clippers, Magic, and Mavs like this:

LAC out: Eric Bledsoe, Caron Butler

LAC in: Arron Afflalo, #13 Pick

ORL out: Arron Afflalo

ORL in: Eric Bledsoe, Caron Butler

DAL out: #13 pick

DAL in: cap space (they would like to sell their pick)

Then we can use the #13 pick for a player like Shabazz Muhammad and have a lineup like this:

PG: Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups

SG: Arron Afflalo, Jamal Crawford, Willie Green

SF: Matt Barnes, Shabazz Muhammad

PF: Blake Griffin, Free Agent signing (David West for MLE?)

C: Deandre Jordan, #25 pick (Withey?)

Dallas frees up salary for run at Dwight and others, Orlando gets a great deal for Afflalo, and we get a great return out of bledsoe and caron.

Not bad, just don't waste the pick on Shabazz. Get a C.

We can get Jeff Withey with our #25 pick probably so might as well upgrade the wing with the BPA at #13.

We can get a better C with that pick. Shabbazz has bench player at best written all over him.

Dieng was linked to Boston a while back when Doc was still on the team. Gorgui is a perfect player under Rivers. He can defend and space the floor a little.

If we tinker with the former KG deal, it might go through. Involve Bledsoe, get back Avery Bradley who has many of the same advantages

I still like Deandre and Bled for Gortat and Shannon Brown

Take our the not so good Shannon Brown and replace him with Dudley and that's the trade you want. Unfortunately don't think the Suns need Bled so it's probobly a moot point anyway.

I like Afflalo but not for Bledsoe and Butler's expiring.

We can just sign OJ Mayo or Corey Brewer. Butler's expiring will be a very good trade chip at the trade deadline.

Or we can even trade Butler to Cleveland for a 2nd rounder. Cutting his $8M salary can open up a lot of options at SF.

You do not want Cory Brewer.

IMHO, Afflalo for Bled and Butler straight up is not a good deal for us. Adding Nicholson would be fair, but Im not 100% sold on that. Harkless is a nice option (though unlikely because they like him , and probably they dont feel like Mini Lebron is worth that much). Actually...if crawford is gonna play big minutes as a 2....we dont even need AA. A decent sg would be enough (And we will always love willie guns)

Theres no chance in hell they trade the #2, Vucevic or Harris, sadly.

DJ Foster proposed previously a Butler for Frye + Dudley. Cap relief for suns, a nice sf and a backup big for us. What do you think?

It seems very unlikely that Dallas would just give us the pick. Maybe we could convince them that we won't go after howard because we would have to pay the pick? If anything they would trade the pick for a last firstrounder another year. But if we did miraculously get this pick, I would suggest Kelly Olynk from Gonzaga. A lot of people aren't sold on him, but he has size, rebounding, and a great ranged shot. Personally I think Shabazz would be a great pickup, but I see him going 8th overall to the pistons who love to take high risk high reward players.

dallas probably is trying to give a max to brandon jennings, or picking a point guard with the #13, so i dont see them giving their pick for cap space.

Although...if the jennings thing doesnt work for them (Milwaukee matches, but i dont think its gonna happen)....maybe they could like Bledsoe as a starter.

Pick swap (13 for us, 25 for them) , Bledsoe and IDK....Carter or Roddy B as a backup? (Although im not against billups as a POINT GUARD for vets min and for Wayns...id like to give him a shot)

If we sign oj mayo, maybe we can send Bledsoe to the Jazz? They have Hayward and some other good options for small forward.

Hayward is untradeable for them, I think. Its sucks that Millsap and Jefferson are FA, because if not we could took advantage of their Big Men Logjam and get... Kanter or Millsap.

Burks and their Pick may work, though. Still thinking that Bled is worth more than that but Jazz is not giving us anything better, probably.

We would also be getting Nicholson and a future 1st. Makes sense for those of us that agreed value wise, straight up it wasn't fair.

The pick would probably be Lottery protected until 2020 or something.

Nonetheless, that deal would make a lot more sense.

I guess it's likely to be 2015, lotto protected. So like you said we probably won't get it for a while.

If its lotto protected in 2015 we might actually get the pick in 2015 because Orlando is putting together a pretty decent roster with a very good up an coming coach leading them.

1 more season of tanking and they can get Jabbari or Wiggins and we'll have that 1st round pick easily. Remember it is the EAST

If we can get both a pick and Nicholson it would be a great deal. I would not do AA by himself. Nicholson + AA I would consider.

Nicholson averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds per 36 minutes and shot 54 percent overall, 80 percent free throws. He has a post game also. And he was a rookie.

This would be a more reasonable trade for the Clippers. Andrew Nicholson could replace the role Lamar Odom played coming off the bench. A future first rounder even if protected would be a good asset.

Don't know much about Nicholson but after watching some highlights he looks very promising. Its important we replace our young potential (bledsoe) with another young potential like Nicholson. Afflalo, Nicholson, and the future pic for beldsoe and butler.. I think its a good move.

As expected, the Magic would be willing to overpay for Bled and while Harkless would have been better as he will be able to slide right into Butler's place, I think getting a young and promising big would be amazing. We should push for the second pick instead of Nicholson if we can, but a future first round pick, preferably NOT protected beyond top 3 will be good as well.

If that rumor is true than that is a good deal imo.Would have liked to get Harkless but Nicholson and a future 1st rounder isn't bad at all.Would try to get that pick to be unprotected but that's very unlikely.

Ive heard and saw nice things about Nicholson, I mean, he is a Ryan Anderson type of player. With Blake packing the paint, theres a lot to like in that. And if Doc can improve the teams defense....itd be a nice 1-2 punch.

I`m not sure Id like a future pick , though. But I think is better than taking a guy like OQuinn or Moore.

^^Good find- he reminds me a bit of Tim Duncan on offense with that jump hook and the mid-range shot. He also seems like a taller version of Al Farouq Aminu, with a better jumper.

Per Sporting News: http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2013-06-25/nba-draft-2013-trade- rumors-free-agency-2013-celtics-josh-smith-luol-deng-jimmer

CLIPPERS SOON TO DEAL BLEDSOE

On the flip side, now that the Clippers' situation has settled, LA is expected to move on to the other big issue looming over its summer: Eric Bledsoe.

We've been talking about Bledsoe as a trade chip since February-the Clippers can't afford to pay him what he will command when he hits restricted free agency-and it appears that a deal involving Bledsoe will come soon.

Most likely, that deal will send Bledsoe and Caron Butler to Orlando for guard Arron Afflalo, addressing the Clippers' need for a shooting guard. It's a big price for the Clippers to pay, but knowing they won't keep Bledsoe long-term, LA needs to get value while it can.

Also on the Clippers' front, now that a deal involving Kevin Garnett is off the table, they must decide what to do with DeAndre Jordan. It might be difficult to bring back a guy the franchise was so obviously ambivalent about keeping this summer. Multiple teams have expressed interest in Jordan, including Portland, which has cap space and is now run by Neil Olshey, the Clippers' former general manager who drafted Jordan.

bled for MKG?

with Doc at the helm, he might be able to turn MKG into a leonard type player. that would be amazing

First thing's first, we need a center! Bledsoe might be the only bait we have to get a team to accept DJ and his awful contract.

althoughugh MKG is very athletic, he can't shoot and thats the last thing we need. i think bledsoe is the better player by far. as far as DJ goes, it says portland is one of the teams interested in DJ. I'm really curious to see what they're offering for DJ. perhaps some deal that would include wesley matthews? there's no way in hell lamarcus aldridge is apart of this deal for DJ because the cavs just offered them the 1st overall pick of the draft as well as their 19th overall pick for aldridge and the blazers declined that.

I agree, but shouldn't we be more concerned about the 3 spot?

I mean Nicholson could some in for BG. and we can let go of Turiaf.

Sign Odom to a Vet min or a much much cheaper contract.
