So, as it stands after the draft, we have a ton of offense.
Brand and Maggette (assuming both stay, the big ?) - 20+ ppg each.
Kaman - 16-18 ppg
Mobley, Thomas and Thornton, all capable scorers.
Gordon - big scorer in college (especially pre-injury)
In my opinion, we need some defensive help. Kaman and Brand are beasts in the paint, but I am afrain we will likely lose Ross, our best perimeter defense. Cat can D up on occasion, but hes old. Thomas does not know what defense is. Maggette is a wild card. PG situation is still up in the air.
So what now? I think we are one or two pieces away from being a legit playoff contender, but we for sure need a new serviceable PG, and i think we could use a few hard nose defenders... |
