Maybe at least a little but don't care if his image takes a hit. If he does leave we need to move on and forget about him.

Of course. Leaves an up and coming contender that's improving rapidly and pulling all the strings they, can? Who leaves a near 60 win team with this much talent? Only a coward who doesn't care about his legacy.

Is this a serious question? Of course it will. That's one more thing tipping the scale in our favor, he cares about his image, a lot.

Unfortunately for us, the Clippers would take the hit. Just look at how the media love Chris and love to rip on the Clippers. It would be "same old Clippers" all over espn.

Fortunately for us, CP3 is not stupid and knows that staying put is his best chance to win (and make lots more money).

I would lose a lot of respect for him for the simple fact you can't give a team 2 seasons to make a contender. 1 of the seasons wasn't even a full one. Lebron gave his team 7 years to prove themselves. 2 years is nothing

Who cares about image? LeBron sure didn't. If he goes, he goes. Not any of us can do a damn thing about it. Will we be mad/sad? Yes... but life will go on. It's not the end of the world, just yet. Food for thought folks.

For me i don't care, we can't stop anybody to leave us, just move on there's still more good PG out there much cheaper and faster than him.

exactly.

Cp3's image would only take a hit to clipper fans... everyone else in the world would say "same old clippers." They would say cp3 left because he wanted to win then espn would post our franchises history of losing

I don't think he will leave tho, but its not because of image its because of money... ANYONE who leaves that kind of money on the table is foolish and naive tbh

Both the Clippers, Hornets and LA Fans that Support LA. Being in the 2nd biggest market in the USA. It will definitely hurt his image. He could take Cliff Paul with him!!!

I don't think he will leave. When he came here, he became the Clippers. To abandon the team would be to abandon everything he has built here in LA, and would prove to the world (and himself) that he was not good enough. The fans, players, and league would label him a failure and a quitter. On the bright side there are two things that CP loves, a challenge, and the preservation of his legacy. CP will stay in LA.

If CP3 were to leave, nowhere he would go would be as good of a team and have as best a chance as we do to win more games, and go further in the playoffs. Houston would have to trade Jeremy Lin, I just can't see them rocking out a starting 5 of CP3, Lin, Harden, Parsons and Asik. That'd be incredibly too small. Dallas would only have Dirk and CP3 basically, Atlanta isn't a destination they already have like 3 PG's on the roster.

CP3 would be known as the guy searching for something that he always left too early for.

He won't admit it, but the power the players have with input on coaching decisions and player personnel is a nice thing to have. I am not saying they call the shots but I'd like input on who'd be coaching me and who I'd get to play with. CP3 is getting too many endorsements since his arrival here to leave. Whose going to want to put CP3 in a commercial if he's on the Hawks or the Rockets? Atlanta is famous for BBQ and racism, Houston is famous for it's space program.

Is there a reason Houston can't afford

PG - Chris Paul

SG- James Harden

SF - Chandler Parsons

PF - Thomas Robinson

C - Dwight Howard

?

I think if he leaves he won't give a flying eff what we think of him,and no one else will care. Look at LeBron, some vilify him for what he pulled (most are from Cleveland and one is nearby my keyboard) but the rest of the country and all the media still tout him as arguably the best player ever in the NBA. CP3 won't care.

The thing with lebron is he paired himself with 2 all stars. Wherever Cp3 goes I don't think has a super great chance of winning a championship

If we offer Chris a max deal and he still walks....he can go FU&K HIMSELF! This organization bent over backwards for him, acquired every player he wanted, let the coach go, basically sucked nuts for 2 years so the only thing left for us to do is give him a max contract. If he leaves after all that, i would hate him and root against him for the rest of his career.

with that being said, I really hope he stays Smile

Where's Jeremy Lin in that equation? I think he gets like 5-8 mill this next season then the year after that it balloons up to like 14 mill.

Hopefully traded so they can make the roster and $ work.

Does chris paul really want to win a championship..well the place for him is Indiana. they are very weak

in the ball handling distributing department from what i saw in the finals. if he goes there they are hot favs to win it all.

CP3

Stephenson

George

West

Hibbert (pretty solid team)

ohhh and trade granger for some solid players on the bench

bingo cp3 u will finally get what u want

That team would be tough, but they'd have no bench. They'd have to somehow unload Granger of course, and how do you do that without a bunch of return salary coming back. They'd probably have to let DJ Augustin, Psycho-T, Jeff Pendegraph all walk..........and with the return salary coming back on a Granger deal.......how do you re-sign David West? He'd have to walk. That's the only way to absorb a max deal from CP3 and re-sign West.

And to be honest, as long as Pat Riley's lurking in MIA........I'm not even sold that this roster would even get it done.

I'm not sure what the trade value of Harden is, but I'd gladly take him off of the Rockets hands so they can put together their loser ass team. I only say "loser ass team" because CP3 isn't enough to overcome D-12's BS. DA-WIGHT around yo lip!! He'll never win until he turns into an old ass role player that sneaks onto a winning roster. Team killa...

Probably not, free agents don't really have any obligation to be loyal, but let's hope that is not the situation

This is being a fan talking, Lebron also left a 60 win team, but if you go to a situation that gives you an even better chance of winning it all or going further in the playoffs, that improves your "legacy". Let's not kid ourselves here, Paul's legacy, whatever that is won't be affected by whether he leaves this team or not.

his image is already cemented as a diva who desperately wants the public to see him as a down to earth type of guy.
